As a fellow jewelry maker she needs to be able to separate the different kinds of beads, a good adjustable lamp, a mat that keeps the beads and other materials from rolling around, a heat protective mat for when soldering. An adjustable magnifier that attaches to the desk top and a device that is called a jewelers extra hand that holds things you are working on so that you can use both of your hands. I Love mine. Getting some small zip close bag to hold the finished piece and to organize them for sale. Having a way to display them in pictures or for an Etsy type shop is extremely helpful. They sell trays that have measurements on them at Walmart and most hobby stores. These are helpful when laying out your designs and figuring out the size of the piece you’re making and keeping everything you need to complete your piece together in one place until you finish it. They also sell a similar item that has a soft material in both the top and bottom that keeps beads and other items from rolling around, but the difference is that you can stop working on a piece and close the case to prevent others from messing with it and it’s portable so you can travel with it. It doesn’t have measurements on it, but you can store a nice metal ruler inside and you could easily draw out the shape of a necklace, bracelet on the fabric cushion in the case. I have actually stored the tools that I was using to make the piece in the case with the other items just so I could take it with me and not have to lug around a bunch of heavy cases loaded with things I didn’t need to finish my current piece. Having a case that holds my tools and zips closed has been extremely helpful when organizing and transporting my tools. I try to keep my different craft materials separately ie: my quilling papers are in a separate case organized by color and if there are tools that are only used for quilling I keep them with the paper. I do a wide variety of art forms so I try to keep it all neatly organized and labeled so I can locate things easily and know when I am getting low on needed materials. I have a art/craft/sewing room that we’re trying to redo and organize better so that my daughter and I can both use it better and hopefully open up our own business since I am no longer teaching elementary school children. Pearl I look forward to seeing your new jewelry and work area. It can be hard working on creative projects and having younger siblings who are very interested, but don’t understand that they can’t touch and move the things you’re working on.📿🔍💜💖
Also look in the fishing area at Walmart because some of the cases for bait and tackle are perfect for organizing and storing jewelry making supplies. I got a huge grey one that had 6 pull out clear plastic boxes that let you put in the dividers to suit your needs then under the lid there’s storage space for larger items and the top of each end has more storage with a clear lid. It is not really something you will move around a lot because it does get heavy as you fill it up. I have mine on a repurposed night table near my work area and I can just pull out the case I need without having to dig through everything or bring out everything.

Pearl has grown up so fast. It's so cute and mature that she wants a jewelry business. I can't wait to see all her jewelry. All the kids are so responsible. Megan and Mike raised their kids so well. I think it's time to write a book on "How To" for parents

Megan, she needs a table/desk to make her jewelry. Next she needs shelves and possibly a pegboard to hang her necklaces. I love her ear rings. I am anxious to see what she does with her jewelry.
You can purchase mini ziploc bags to put the ear rings in for shipment.
Pearl, the ear rings shown on this vlog were very nice. You are a very creative young lady.

I wish subscribers would refrain from such personal comments about Meaghans hair, it's really rude. If tbey don't like it, then don't comment. How would, they feel if we commented on their appearance in a negative way? I love that Meaghan experiments with ner hair and has it long/short or inbetween, whatever. It is her hair least we forget that and she is free to do with it as she wishes. Go Meaghan!

Pearl you have a very good feel for design ....not just saying that by the way...it is a sincere comment. We are a family of artists here and my husband is one of the most recognised award winning painters in Australia....so we kind of know what we are talking about. All the very best of great joy and success with your jewelry. While I love your stool could I suggest a chair with small pillow for your lower back...it helps for those hours spent creating. Your desks are lovely. So much fun sharing in everyones activities. A hint for Megan...your abstract garden piece will find its own place.....and have a different feel each time you move it around....well done you and keep going....loving all all of it. Cheers.

I can not believe the audacity of people and how they feel entitled to comment on your hair they think you need to do something different. That is so rude. I love how bold and comfortable you are in your skin. I think that teaches your children and others to stand up for themselves and do what they like as their body is theirs and it’s their life. You live your life in the public life so people must feel entitled but that’s so impolite. Thank you for being true to you and showing others how to stand up for them selves like your daughters. A You Tube business sounds great...showing how to make jewelry, selling finished items, selling jewelry kits with parts so customers can make their own. Let them know what supplies they need and where to find them. Possibly getting revenue from Amazon, etc. for sending your “students” to them for their beads, wire, tools, storage boxes, and anything else.
I had a bead store from 1981 until 2017 and this is basically what I did. I loved every minute of designing, creating and showing people how to make their own. I’ve also had an Etsy store since 2009.
Meghan, I really like your longer hair. Very pretty.

Just watched this now, catching up on old videos of yours. I don't know why people complain about your hair. You are obviously creative and adventurous so to try new different or same old stuff is fun. Keep on going!!!! It makes you happy. Hoping Pearl's business is successful, as I have to check some more videos to find out what direction she went. Blessings.

I cannot imagine ever telling anyone I hate your hair. I shudder to think what my Mama would say. And I’m over 60! For the record, I love your long hair. You have introduced me to extensions and now should I ever cut my hair, I know what I can do. My hair goes to the middle of my back. Nice job on the picture. It reminds me of Dr Suess characters

A piece of black felt or velvet on the desk will help keep beads from rolling and they will be easier to see. You are very artistic, Pearl.

I’ve never seen your hair look bad! The stylist did a great job with the extensions. I just had 14 inches cut off mine, it’s now as short as yours used to be lol And you’re right, it’s your hair. I think it looks great long or short :) and I love the artwork you did!!

This was so great to watch. How exciting for Pearl to be so well supported in her dream. Ikea has really cool pegboard back boards for desks with cheap add on hooks and mini bin storage etc I think it would be perfect. Also a drawer unit on wheels that would slide in and out from under the desk would help her clear her work area. What a lovely family you are :) PS: I think your hair always looks fabulous no matter how you style it. x
