When only the rich can afford to be environmentally responsible, it makes their efforts completely pointless for environmentalism, as it's eclipsed by the damage caused by the masses with less money forced by poverty to deprioritize environmentalism. Honestly, this middle class need to justify overconsumption is completely repulsive and kind of insulting to your intelligence if you're even mildly paying attention. It's a beautiful house, it's OK to just be rich and enjoy things because they are nice.

When things get too modern it just losses its charm. To me this place is devoid of character. The furniture doesn’t help.
