If there's one thing that I appreciate about this remake, is that James doesn't explain everything he interacts with. This game is an annoying mess sugar coated in 4K and Ray Tracing. I'm sad that I going to have to put this in my "Good Let's Play watching fodder" folder and not my "Get it Day 1" folder. Too many red flags for me to pay full price for it. And sadly my issues are all design choices. From what I've seen of this remake I hope they leave the other 3 alone.
I found it weird that they started with 2, then I remembered it's Konami so they probably did it cause 2 was more well received than others. While I don't wish for this game to fail. My distrust of Konami is immeasurable and what they did to Angela doesn't inspire confidence on what changes they might have done. Also toning down on fan service on the nurse and Maria doesn't help either as they were suppose to represent James desire(?) or something like that.
I understand that the criticisms and skepticism didn't come from nowhere, but I always had faith in this remake and I think it will turn out well. Konami shot itself in the foot by hiring Bloober Team. Just look at their history, they basically copy other games and still deliver something mediocre.
Made for "modern audiences", that's enough reason to not buy this. Not every game needs a remake, we played it and we loved it, til this day is one if not the best horror franchise, but it's being adapted and made for political reasons, let the game rest, don't give money to DEI and woke companies, they are not there to make games, they are activists infecting the gaming industry to push their ideologies and marxist agendas.
I just think that a lot of young people hadn't the chance to play SH 2 when it was launched. The game feels pretty old and younger audiences are accostumed with modern games and in particular modern control. So, I think that younger audiences deserve to play this classic with a more modern approach. @@shahzaibraja3342 English is not my first language either, your English is good! That's just an excuse to be honest. The old games are there, the controls aren't that bad. Silent Hill is already a game where some of those people are obsessed with the series because of the themes in the game, which revolve around trauma and sexuality. If you look at the games that have come out lately, they're games made with feminist and LGBT narratives, and nobody asked for or wants that kind of thing in video games.

I want a silent hill 3 & 4 remake after this
Bloober Team is the underdog story the world needs
I found it weird that they started with 2, then I remembered it's Konami so they probably did it cause 2 was more well received than others.
While I don't wish for this game to fail. My distrust of Konami is immeasurable and what they did to Angela doesn't inspire confidence on what changes they might have done. Also toning down on fan service on the nurse and Maria doesn't help either as they were suppose to represent James desire(?) or something like that.
I been ready since 2001. This is gonna be great
I never played the original so I’m excited to dive in!!
I understand that the criticisms and skepticism didn't come from nowhere, but I always had faith in this remake and I think it will turn out well. Some will not be satisfied because the original means so much to them and you can't really compete with someone's fond memories. As for me, I'm buying it day one!
Based and redpilled.
Day-1 here too!
Been waiting for this 🙃
Capcom doesn't seem to care for the SH2 remake as much as they do for the MGS3 remake
It better be! I really want to play it.
I am hoping it is good but will still buy it regardless because of nostalgia!
Sure it is….
Just like the PS5 Pro is sold out
I was always too scared to play as a kid this looks great
You are not ready to play upressed versions of all the games you grew up with...I am remarkable ready and underwhelmed.
I hope some day they can re make original 😢
Gonna give this a try, after I have more funds and the game is sale
nine times out of ten it going to fail due to you got the devs fuck it up which was a good game all they had to do was remake it to the likes of the old faces but no that too hard for them SMH
It will be different from SH2. But it will be a great game, can't wait to play.
No it is not.
Bloober basically redeemed their whole reputation with this game. It's insane that they pulled off something like that, it's on par with Capcom's remakes.
It didn’t even come out yet my brother
4 out of 1
Just wait till it comes out
Yes, it is on par with capcoms remakes.....
Which also sucked and ruined characters, story, writing, voice acting, art direction, tone, etc
Oh I am ready!!
I'm ready to play this game 🎮
What is in the additional 8 hours of gameplay? Moving boxes, slow walking, what else?
My guess is the town is more explorable and probably additional side quests to change the ending. They've also clearly expanded the dialogue out so I think something that was one scene in the original will be 3 separate scenes
Just preordered today
Just be a masterpiece.
😂The character looks like a depressed Leon Scott Kennedy 😂
He’s Leon after his wife died
James existed before RE4 Leon was even an idea lol. (We're not discussing OG2 leon since he looks so different from modern leon)
More like after Leon killed her@@Slaughter_Hill
It deserves a better movie aswell while you at it guys
There is a new movie coming .
@@JimBobm awsome news! 🙏
I hope it’s good.
I don’t know what to think but I really have to say fuck the haters let’s just play the game and make out our own mind I really hope this game is going to rockstar
Just PLEASE no 'modern audience'isms in this one. You don't have to appeal to a handful of X users. Just appeal to fans and gamers.
This view count is so damn ridiculously low !!!!
It just goes to show how most gamers don’t give a single shit
I never played the original so I’m excited for this, I have nothing to compare it to.
Shaping up to be a solid 8/10.
Regardless of what anyone said or reviews came out. Because im such a huge Silent Hill 2 fan. I preorderd the game despit knowing alllll the backlash it got. I want and HAVE to see it for myself. The original was amazing. I hope this game does it justice and i will NOT be holding it to the OG standards. But i do hope it not only improves the gameplay but adds the atmosphere and tells the story like how its supposed to. Either way. I cant wait
I agree with everything u said, I'm very excited for this and I have high hopes but I'm trying to keep it in check especially after playing alan wake 2 cause that game was a masterpiece and we don't get really amazing survival horror games that often but I do hope this game can keep the renewed horror games going
@MakaveliCVW man... Alan Wake 2 is still a game I have yet to pick up despite it being one of my most hyped games I wanted to get on release. I will be playing that very soon before silent hill 2 comes out. Also! Yes! I'm trying to keep my hype in check but honestly my.standards are never to high anyways. I appreciate the small things in video games :)
I really hate this game when I was little that siren when it sound just freek the crap out of me and that pyramid head doing some strange things with the nurse was something else😬but it was an awesome game
Gamers were throwing shade at blooper without waiting
Because it's a bad studio.
@@purringbluzzmuffin8030 they make games that are usually 7/10 or mid, so definitely not a bad studio. Also, Observer was great.
@@medican4628 They make walking simulators that run *terribly* on console. The Observer remaster (redux) ran as poorly on the PS5/SX as the original ran one generation earlier. They were the worst possible pick to make a game like this.
Unless they've completely re-staffed in the last couple of years, they have zero chance of creating a polished, triple A experience. I'm sure they gave it their best shot, and I only blame Konami for choosing them, not Bloober for accepting.
Fromsoftware was once Bloober team of Japan . Today it's one of the best . Everyone deserves a chance.
@@seeeliwww But Fromsoftware games are still poorly coded. SH2 remake will be an unoptimised mess with a lot of heart, at best. And that might be enough for some, but people shouldn't expect this game to be on par with the Dead Space or RE4 remakes. It won't be.
@@kthxpls ok bye ....
I just think that a lot of young people hadn't the chance to play SH 2 when it was launched. The game feels pretty old and younger audiences are accostumed with modern games and in particular modern control. So, I think that younger audiences deserve to play this classic with a more modern approach. I will never understand such reluctance to give younger people an opportunity to enjoy the classic of the past. Sorry for thr bad english, but it's not my mothertounge
@@shahzaibraja3342 English is not my first language either, your English is good!
That's just an excuse to be honest. The old games are there, the controls aren't that bad. "Modern audience" doesn't necessarily mean a young audience, it means it's going to be a game for a certain demographic of people, it's going to be a game with left-wing narratives, completely political.
Silent Hill is already a game where some of those people are obsessed with the series because of the themes in the game, which revolve around trauma and sexuality. If you look at the games that have come out lately, they're games made with feminist and LGBT narratives, and nobody asked for or wants that kind of thing in video games.
Yes im not ready to pay 70$
The characters look awful. But the atmosphere looks beautiful.
Really? I really don't see how the characters look "Awful"..... let's be clear, they're definitely not on The Last Of Us's level of fidelity... but they're FAAAAAR from the worst i've seen this year, not to mention the last 5 years.
They all look generic, the only one that looks decent enough is Eddie the rest are generic trash
@@yibril2254 "generic" is that supposed to be an insult? They are in fact regular people
Dude they supposed to look awful this is silent hill . Every one in silent hill is somehow a depressed, miserable & a sad loser , unlike resident evil super cops & one man army characters .
I just hope so.
1:16 aspects bloober cannot replicate... like the AI of the original monsters that have eyes and ears ? incredible how the main mechanism of the game has been completely demolished to the core here. the monster sounds like TLOU enemies. the respect to the environmental darkness is also gone. this looks like a complete generic bloober horror game with no tension or whatsoever.

Where is this from? I haven’t seen that anywhere
It’s a quick shot from the video where they interview the cast.
Just look at the studio's history, it's going to be a disaster.
Gameplay wise it looks dated as all hell I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst it's hard to have faith in Konami after Kojima got booted they haven't made anything great since.
No thanks.
This videos dialogue sounded like it was written by AI
what are you talking about? so much misinformation... was the text generated by AI?
Is thus an ad?
I preordered and can’t wait
Tjis game better be free with the ps5 pro
