Hi Latha, this a good question. It really depends on your goal with the water. Do you want a complex mineral water (like I talk about in the video) or do you want a table salt water mixture? Pink rock salt is one thing I talk about in the video. Pink salt is similar to sea salt, in that it has 70+ minerals in it. This would make a good mineral water. A few other forms of rock salt exist as Halite (Halide) which is made up of Sodium Chloride (NaCl) and water softener salt rocks. They are also made of the Sodium Chloride (NaCl). Both of these are the same ingredients as table salt. Using either of these type of salts is the same thing as using table salt. If your goal is creating a mineral water then these type of rock salts will provide only the 2 minerals Sodium (Na) & Chloride (Cl). Having said all that, I've been known to add a few shakes of table salt to my water when I'm dining out. It's close but not my preferred taste for restaurant water. Lately, we just carry our own water when we eat out.
@25nasar Yeah, that's straight from Dr Batman. He recommends if you're having an asthma attack or any other respitory problem to take a pinch of salt on your tongue and chase with a glass of water. This is a must if you work out and/or break a sweat daily or do any activity where you are in the sun sweating, etc. I ride a road bike and last summer I tested my mineral water by riding about 18x then taking on a 100 mile trip from Long Beach to San Diego. I was sweating the whole way, it was 90+ degrees last summer on a lot of these days I rode. Anyway, I drank 7 quarts over 9 hours and only urinated once. Not even a pint. That's how important electrolytes are to any activity where you are sweating consistently. I believe this blend, 2 tsp/gal., gave me the right mineral balance to maintain my power all the way through. Cheers. 😋
I don't see why not. I make my 1/2 gallon (2.2L) glass bottles several days a week, about 9 of them and reload my refrigerator. That is what my wife and I pull from every day. The lemon juice I've never done with my water except I now make a soda water with my mineral water and add lime to it as I drink it, with, believe it or not, a sea salt rimmed glass. 😋 But I don't see why you couldn't add it in and refrigerate overnight. Makes it tasty for sure.
@@falloutgirl902 I think it is. Although the concentration happens once a day, typically in the morning, my preference is to stretch out the mineral intake throughout the day within all the water I drink in a day, which for me is 6-8 quarts now. The benefits are astounding. Even though I drink twice as much now (as I stated in this video) I currently add the same amount of natural minerals (sea salt, unrefined) to all my water: 1 tsp per 1/2 gallon. My friends who start out, and want to dip their toes in, and don't want to be too shocked by the heavy taste of the minerals, will start out with 1 tsp per 1 gallon and they typically increase it after a few months.
@@user-uh6xg1iy5t Table salt, NaCi, is made up of 2 minerals: sodium (Na) & chloride (Ci). Sea salt & pink salt is approximately 80 minerals (72-84). Since your blood plasma has the same mineral profile as the ocean, it's probably wiser to use unrefined sea salt. Delicate minerals, like magnesium, burn very quickly, especially by stress or exercise. This is why any natural, unrefined, sea salts are preferred.
One of the best ways to filter everything out of your water, and make it as pure as possible, is to use some sort of reverse osmosis system. Once you purify your water, then add some kind of unrefined sea salt, it'll taste so much better than regular tap or bottled water with sea salt added.

Believe it or not that bitter taste is a reminder to how many things are in your water supply. That way the taste is so much better. Plus, I've doubled my daily intake from 1 gal to 2 gal.
Hey Johnny, thanks for your comment. I too, feel that unrefined natural sea salts are the best. I ramped up my 4 quarts a day in October of 2020 to 6-8 quarts a day. 1 year later in about September 2021 I was experiencing a way better stomach. I'm now able to eat spicy foods again where before they would destroy me. ;)
@@tangodelta6890 Hi Tango, such is the world we're living in now. My grandma just turned 93 two months ago. I often dwell on her upbringing. She was born in an adobe house with dirt floors. Most of her siblings too and they were all long lived. She is the last. This walking barefoot and living in a rural environment, in my opinion, provided a steady supply of minerals (from the dirt) into her body through her bare feet or skin while playing in the dirt. My wife's father also grew up in rural conditions and is a very healthy 81 and has great energy. The whole idea of minerals in your drinking water helps the cells of your entire body to detox. That's why the subject of salt water to most people means going to the toilet right away after you start drinking it. In fact, I warn everybody that adding minerals to your water, in the form of sea salt - or pink salt, will help your body let go of toxins, and this means you'll be hitting the toilet quite often for 2-3 days as you start up. After that your cells will now have the fuel to throw out the trash as necessary. This brings us back to the subject of micro plastics and toxins in general. If you have a system that has the fuel to throw out the trash then it becomes less of a point the subject of how many toxins that system takes in or from where. I am not a doctor. I am only speaking from experience as I have added sea salt to my drinking water since August of 2013 and have a normal blood pressure and excellent blood results when I have it tested.

@@gilbertanaya Hi
Do we consume normal iodised or HImalayan salt regularly along with this regimen as i heard ses salt has low sodium
Thank you
@@user-uh6xg1iy5t Table salt, NaCi, is made up of 2 minerals: sodium (Na) & chloride (Ci). Sea salt & pink salt is approximately 80 minerals (72-84). Since your blood plasma has the same mineral profile as the ocean, it's probably wiser to use unrefined sea salt. Delicate minerals, like magnesium, burn very quickly, especially by stress or exercise. This is why any natural, unrefined, sea salts are preferred.
they put fluoride in tap
One of the best ways to filter everything out of your water, and make it as pure as possible, is to use some sort of reverse osmosis system.
Once you purify your water, then add some kind of unrefined sea salt, it'll taste so much better than regular tap or bottled water with sea salt added.
@@gilbertanaya funny you say, since I just did that to my 5 gallon jug. I only added 1tsp of unrefined sea salt, but anymore and i feel it would be too salty. Definitely feel more hydrated than before when adding nothing !
@@WhiteGhost21 This is exactly the dose I provide for a friends father. And it's actually pretty much exactly what the most famous water company provides as far as TDS is concerned. That company is Naive spelled another way. 😆
Sea salt can be use for daily cooking or it’s fine to drink water sea salt ?
I use sea salt in both my water and all over any food I eat. Even ice cream. 😄
@@gilbertanaya I’m just afraid of swelling legs if I use too much salt
@@gilbertanaya I just started using sea salt and already I feel acid reflux 50% better by using sea salt for a day I’m vapping now and not hearth burn or reflux like before.. sorry one thing I wanna ask it’s not gonna makes legs swelling like table salt right?
I'm not a dr nor recommend you eat salt. This is a how to video for those who choose to add sea salt to their water.
But, if you study the books that are in the description or watch that playlist you may discover the myths related to salt.
Also this video has some decent insights. th-cam.com/video/vkpvPrek3X8/w-d-xo.html

I tried this but i can't stand the taste of the water.Even though it's a small amount. What can I add to improve the taste?
Believe it or not that bitter taste is a reminder to how many things are in your water supply. I have friends that start with reverse osmosis water, then add any natural (unrefined) sea salt to it and enjoy from there.
Since this video I've adopted that same method. That way the taste is so much better. Plus, I've doubled my daily intake from 1 gal to 2 gal.
add some lemon juice
I prefer the taste of pure water from a good reverse osmosis. I get my minerals from what I eat
@@upperech3lon Lemon juice is very acidic
If you watch Barbara O'Neill she explains how it's ideal to put the Celtic salt on your tongue then drink your water. Really good stuff!

Salty dog...Nice video.
You are drinking way too much water
Pink salt is toxic my friend!! Natural sea salt is the best!! Celtic damp and light gray . Cured my 5 year stomach problems..
Hey Johnny, thanks for your comment. I too, feel that unrefined natural sea salts are the best.
I ramped up my 4 quarts a day in October of 2020 to 6-8 quarts a day. 1 year later in about September 2021 I was experiencing a way better stomach. I'm now able to eat spicy foods again where before they would destroy me. ;)
Dr Eric berg recommends Himalayan salt over sea salt because sea salt has micro plastics in it, whereas Himalayan does not.
@@gilbertanaya thank you for the reply, When I posted that I was on a “add salt to water” TH-cam binge and had tunnel vision lol, looking back now, seems negligible to worry about micro plastics in salt when it’s in just about everything else anyway. Cheers mate.
If I wanted salt water, I would go to the ocean! I went to go buy some bottled water - but I wanted the biggest bottle. I opened one and thinking I was going to get 100% water - nothing else. I tasted salt and almost wanted to throw up! Did you ever see how many brands of drinking water that has salt? Since yesterday, I can't get the salt taste out of my mouth! Your video is useless! People want pure 100% water with nothing else in it! I am sick now because of the amount of salt I drank. I do not eat a lot of salt, I want to taste food. Do us a favor and remove this video.
