i remember when i watched this episode when i was little i hated megatron for weeks and believed he deserved a far more painful and cruel death for what he did
For me, it was a Monday night, during the YTV evening animation block... Went to bed half crying that night... The next day at school it was all that my group of friends could talk about, it was "Game Over" all over again.
This would have to be in the top 5 of the greatest moments in Transformers history. The show was ok, but this was epic, sad, funny, inspiring, and awesome. Waspenator twitching, Quickstrike wondering what a warrior without a weapon is, Megatron's commentary, Dinobot's honor and sayings. Simply awesome.
While the animation and certain logical parts of the story (turning into modern animals instead of what would have actually been around millions of years ago) aged poorly, the actual story and voice acting of this show is phenomenal. It’s too good for a glorified toy commercial. It’s something to be preserved for the rest of humanity’s existence and our evolutionary descendants should there be any.
I thought that part was very logical. The first episode showed exactly how and why the Predacons got beast modes from extinct dinosaurs. They scanned the DNA from the fossils that were buried in the ground around their ship. Because their ship crashed in a highly volcanic area, those fossils we're probably all that was available to them for scanning, as well as some small insects. Of course, it's clear that the Predacons had dinosaur and insect beast forms because that's what Hasbro wanted to sell toys, but the show did a good job incorporating a believable reason into the story. Actually, they did a phenomenal job.
Dinobot went out how he lived, a warrior.
24 years later and it still gets me teared up.
Sure does
The aerial tribute, the funeral music, the words from Optimus... This is clearly the greatest scene out of all the series to me..
"So, what's a warrior without weapons, eh?"
".........A Warrior Still!"
Just ask Shang-Chi.
Fight on. No matter what
This episode was amazing. It hits you in the feels. Dinobot had the best character arc
7:13 “he lived a warrior….and died a hero….Let his spark join the matrix….the greatest of cybertron….”
- Optimus Primal
The whole episode along with the ending theme was just epic
It's not about who you were. It's about who you are.
When I saw this for the first time I was crying for a while. It really hits harder than Optimus prime’s death
We have heard your tale dinobot, as you would wish it be told. And we judge you one of the greatest. The rest is, as you say. Silence.
" then, their are no regrets". A quote that suits the series well.

god this show had it's moments!
Dinobot is such a badass
Rattrap was so moved he reverted to his season 1 form for the cremation…
Hold up
Not what I was expecting that Sunday morning a decade and a half ago when I snuck downstairs to watch cartoons. So sad.

What I also loved with this episode, that the prehumans basically witness their protector god in full action.
The final scene shows that the ancient ancestor proto-humans are first inspired to use tools by making an axe/pick after seeing Dinobot improvise :D
@@cykeok3525 Actually that was the improv weapon of Dinobot.
Dinobot is the best warrior of all transformers ev0r
This was the saddest transformers death I have ever seen in my heart.
There's a scene in "A maximal no more", where he holds the 2 golden disks and starts quoting.
i was confused by that as a child but yeah looking bad this show had a lot of nice things like that
Till all our one
I miss beastwars. I aged so well
This is basically terminator 2 vibes lol. Arnold just beasting through

Anyone else join the salute?

its said that dinobot has quoted shakespear, can anyone give examples other than the one shown here?
So sad...I think I'm going to cry D':
Is it wrong of me to wish he had returned during beast machines instead of Rhinox
no it is not.
