Why nobody makes two seat pickup trucks anymore? Hello! I need truck for work. I need truck to transport equipment and tools, not the people! Are you listening?
They are making mistakes by competing with legacy brands. Consumers who can afford $40K+ trucks already own or will get the legacy brand. The segment they need to access is the average consumers who want a truck as a tool. They want a solid, reliable truck that performs all the trucking work (home/ small business). They need the practicality and utility. They don't need all the useless and expensive bells and whistles. Price should be less than $25K.
they have cloned/reverse engineered popular models of other car manufacturer's successful models for some time now. this looks like a santa cruz rebrand, at a fraction of the cost. china has been making the word's "stuff" for decades, they know manufacturing best. i see no mistake here other than taking a massive bite out of auto sales, needs shaken up. we have nothing but monopolies that get bailed out in the states, they set whatever price they want when their own workers can't afford to buy the product they make.
This Chevy truck driving American would love to be able to buy an affordable electric truck or ute with LFP and V2X technology. I hope that American manufacturers are paying attention to the world market and not just relying on taxes and bloated sales prices for survival.
The new electric Ford F-150 is not selling for a reason. It doesn't have the towing capacity. Google "Ford cuts production of F-150 lightning electric truck due to weak sales" No one will dish out $60K on an unproven technology. 1st versions are always buggy and terrible, no matter what you buy.
Remove those side mirrors, and never drive it on the streets of almost all of the 50 states in america, as you will be breaking their vehicle equipment safety laws. I've never heard of a State that allows someone to remove factory installed side mirrors, lights, and such, and then allow you to drive it on the street cause that's dangerous! It is unsafe to rely solely on a camera and an iPad dash to run without side mirrors, which is why Federal safety standards require musky boy to install them at production. But just because ol' musky smellin' tells you, that you can remove them after purchase, doesn't mean he speaks for the law, which he doesn't. Elon Musk is a moron who's ego is barely outsized by our solar system! No side mirrors are how many accidents happen. And if the computer function controlling the viewing space of side and most likely rear views as well go out, you cannot reinstall side mirrors while driving. Look at all other EV's out there made, and they all have physical side and rear view mirrors because that means safety. And gawd help you if side mirrors made your new cyberplunk look a little less than my dishwasher facing! Sorry if you spent so much money on a refrigerator on wheels that hates water, but it's just a collectible, right? 🤣🤣🤣
Electric trucks are no good. They can't tow like a diesel truck, nor do they have the range. It's for boys and their toys and they look like transformer toys too! I suspect the current diesel trucks will run on bio diesel or hydrogen conversion, until the end of time, or when batteries can deliver as much power and range as a tank of diesel, whichever comes first.
you are wrong, electric motors which is the same capacity to diesel engines size are 6x the torgue and 8x more kilowatts power and batteries can range up the distance of 2,000 kilometers in just single charge for 1 hour it's an equivalent of 100 liters of diesel fuel, and can tow up to 6 tons of trailer and a bed load of 2 tons

Please do not use the word CHEAP. USE AFFORDABLE OR UNCOSTLY.
These trucks are not cheap.
If they sell them under $25,000 then it can be called cheap.
Nah. I'd rather wait for the Telo e-truck. Hope the Calafonis roll it out next year.
Why are they so expansive? I would buy a Toyota instead.
