As others have stated, I completely understand the concept of Planet Fitness; going to the gym can be an intimidating experience, especially for newbies. However, their advertisements are grossly overdone to the point of being a huge contradiction. The company does not seem to understand that catering to "everyday individuals " does not mean you have to be dismissive of those of us who are more fitness oriented. Case in point, after working out one day at PF, I decided I would go to the locker room and check my weight. Much to my surprise, there was no scale present in the locker room, or anywhere else in the gym for that matter. When I inquired with the staff as to the reason for this, I was told that PF did not have scales in their gyms because they want their customers to be more concerned about the way they feel after working out, rather than focus on whether their workout is impacting any actual results. Uhhhhh, what?? Isn't that the purpose of working out?
To be fair, if you want to track your progress the most precise way, weigh yourself naked after pooping each morning. Scales in gym are really not necessary if you have on at home
We had one under the desk but it is a corporate policy NOT to have a scale at planet fitness because once again, it is catering to the masses and not the actual people who are committed to working out.
@@Ponkdonker it's just strangely contrasting that it's done in a gym (empty carbs and sugars being two of the largest contributors to the high American obesity numbers).

'they' don't. they just profit off people that do. it's a genius idea. people that don't think this way take it as a joke and people that do see it as 'finally, a gym for people like me!!!' (lazy shits who dont want to work out).
Bodybuilding is very expensive and time consuming. So why not do a quick ridiculous, and completely fictional commercial and get paid. Who wouldn't? Plant fitness pays these actors to try to sell stereotypes but we all know its just for entertainment
0:51 “I lift things up and put them down” well if he looks like that, (better than anyone in planet fitness) then that’s a way better workout than anything at planet fitness!
This is insulting. Flat out, 100% insulting. Which moron thought this was a good idea? The only message this sends is - "We think strong people are stupid." It demoralizes and degrades a minority group of people for the "benefit" of everyone else. The hilarious irony of this is the masses expect action movie heroes to look like this, and then they make ads like this pissing all over the hard work these people do to look like that.
You call them idiots. What average people like you don't realize is the ass busting day to day work the men in this video put in to build their physics. Not to mention their knowledge of nutrition and proper workouts in order to build muscle mass. Planet fitness is a place for unfit people to feel confident and feel like they are working to get fit. You need to know that 70% of changing your body is diet, 30% is done in the gym. So the next time you call a body builder an idiot, remember that they built themselves on knowledge and hard work.
Rusty Shackleford Apparently you and the other idiots don't. I just enjoy pissing off idiots like you who whine and cry about something that makes fun of them. I make jokes about my own flaws, so why can't muscle heads take a little criticism or humor? If I spent all day defending PF I would comment everyday logically. Now as you can see by the record I have not commented every day so you have no argument.
If you have somthing intelligent to say speak up but if you want to insult and reveal your sheer ignorance and sterotypical behavior shut your mouth before you look even more like a plebeian. This is why most people think your a douche bag. You are condescending and arrogant. You act like being covered in muscles makes you special. Judging by your primitive language and debate skills you are far outmatched as if you had an argument you would not rely on petty insults. I've hiked the grand canyon 3 times and can leg press 340 lbs with ease. Im sure you will scoff at this but I dont care. Just because you have a fatless rat face does not make you appealing. If you dont want to be treated like a sterotype stop acting and speaking like one. I will not stop and every time one of you opens your fat mouth I will tear you down each time and use you as an example to your perpetual stupidity. Kind regards - guy who actually thinks.
When I first heard about planet fitness and their $10 plan I was pretty impressed, and I actually signed up for the gym. I didn't know much about it at the time, but then I heard Joe Rogan talking about how you couldn't grunt in their gym's. I thought he was most likely misinterpreting their definition (or so what I assumed was their definition) of grunting such as like screaming at the top of your freaking lungs and throwing weights everywhere. I thought, "well yeah I guess I can understand, that might be intimidating to people just going in to get a simple 30-minute work out." And then I notice the giant sign on their fucking wall displayed for everyone defining a... "lunk." I thought to myself, "Is this definition not in itself discouraging people building muscle?" Then I start seeing these fucking commercials that can be taken offensively just as much as any other stereotype, "I'm big so that means I'm a brainless, narcissist jerk who just wants to make everyone feel like shit." Yet, that's bullshit because body building takes dedication and a strong mentality to get intense gains. It's bullshit because bigger, stronger people are almost always on the nicer side considering nobody ever has any reason to fuck with them plus they're tired most of the time from exercising anyways... and then they take out the squat rack.... it's almost like they've become a political establishment or someshit, or at least they're trying...
When I first started to lift weights, I jumped right into a hardcore environment. Yeah it was intimidating at first, but such an atmosphere drives you to excel and catch up with your betters. PF doesn't allow for that kind of growth, and even if you could grow there, eventually, you would become a threat to the system and be judged in the 'judgement free zone'.
No Judgment Unless you are actually in shape!!! Lol. There is not a Single fit muscular person in these gyms. You can not get what you need from machines. Planet Fitness: "just be average".
This is about the most judgement centered gym around. It reminds me of the dweebs who used to criticize jocks for accomplishing what they were unable or to strive for.
Dweebs? You mean like the ones now making six-figure salaries while most jocks, with the exception of pro athletes, now stock shelves at Walmart? 🤔 No one with a brain wants to be a "jock".

Just a comedy? Even the cheapest gyms where I live doesn't promote any of the trash that planet fitness offers. I guess our standards are vastly different.
This is messed up. They make all body builders seem dumb. You want bodybuilders in your gym. They can help out and motivate the other people who want to look like them.
hotman718 PF doesn't- they need most people not to go in order to make any profit. A _normal_ gym will have everyone from bodybuilders to athletes to middle aged plump guys to perky grandmas. PF preys on everyone who doesn't have the willpower to maintain a routine. Oh, and they've been reported countless times to the BBB for fradulent charging after cancellation.
honestly some of the most intelligent people ive come across were very well built. They ran successful businesses and were very informative when it came to nearly almost anything.
I didn't think people were this sensitive to simple jokes! There's a big difference in "bodybuilding" gyms and everyday gyms...the LITERAL differences is glaring, these super buff guys know it, so why not shine some light-hearted light on it.
And nobody in a gym cares what YOU look like. Just put in the work. The only "judgment" going on is your own low self esteem thinking that someone else is looking down in you. I don't care if you're fat or whatever; you're at the gym trying to get better so great for you.
I became a personal trainer in 1996 after i joined the gym for the first time in 1994 because i was only 26 and my waist was 48 inches and I my pants were getting tighter by the day. So i took my fat ass to the gym in April of 94 and by the end of that year I lost 105 lbs.I fell in love with bodybuilding and the gym became my church. And even though is true you get judged by others, but that happens everywhere you go, not just inside the gym. But i noticed that my main motivation was trying to look as good or better than the other members. Sometimes i went to the gym tired and unmotivated but once I saw other guys working out hard, i got the motivation to do the same. So even though, I like the name Planet fitness for a gym, their policy and motto is ridiculous and is actually opposite to what joining a gym means, which means trying to get in the best shape each individual can achieve by putting time inside the gym. Planet fitness advocates mediocrity for fitness!!!
I used to go to Planet Fitness. I started getting to big though and switched to the bodybuilding gym eventually. I still think it's a good place to start and get your feet wet before you decide how far you wanna take it.
i agree, its a great starter gym. ive been going for about a year, but my trainer left, so joining Crunch Fitness when they open. My trainer helped me get started and gave me ideas on what to work on
My friend got kicked out of PF. They told him he was lifting too much weight and scaring some of the people around him. He's a big guy but I have seen bigger guys there. He's also one of the nicest people who helps anyone so I know it's not his attitude.
Aquarius Storm Having trouble coming out of the closet Aquarius so you have to call everyone else a queer. Please tell me how going to a PF would make someone queer?
Eric Iholts you do realize a mind does not function at its best without a healthy body to support it, right? what kind of gym gives out pizza and donuts, does not allow du-rags, and no grunting? if you are not sweating and are lifting silently you are not working out. i personally went to a planet fitness with my friend on a guest pass and was kicked out for grunting. i barely made any noise! Along with that they told me "you are in too good of shape to be here"... too good of shape?.. wtf? i am not a jacked guy, i am just very toned with dense lean muscle, so it confuses me how i am "in too good of shape". it is discrimination to reject someone from a gym solely on the way they look and if you support that you must support racial discrimination and american obesity, or you are one of the many fat asses i saw while i was there eating that pepperoni pizza.
PF is a joke. No free weight barbells? No squat rack? Not even a little grunt? Do they not understand that exhaling is important when lifting heavy? These guys aren't grunting to be douchebags. That's what insecure people think. They grunt because they're lifting HEAVY. Screw PF.
If I had a planet fitness in my town I would join. I would only go when the food is fresh, eat my fill and then I would go to a real Gym to workout. Fit shaming is just as bad a fat shaming.
That never gets old "I lift things up and I put them down" and what does the other guy do he leads him outside and closes the door "I'm done with this shit."
Really... its rare to find a dude THAT big... These commercials are all about judging. And obviously this guy is a riot, that's why Planet Fitness uses them commercials. WOW
So, this a commercial of a gym that actually wants to motivate you to get fit and become a client by implying that fit people are idiots.. It is like saying "don't worry you will never get fit in our gym.."
+Puckles100 why are there only two extreme options. a lot of the big muscular guys I know are incredibly intelligent and very well spoken humble people. anyone can be dumb and anyone can be smart. Just because someone enjoys working hard to have a strong and great looking body doesn't mean they're some knuckle dragging idiot
damn, this commercial makes body builders look like assholes does it not? I used to weigh 300 pounds and I started working out 6 days a week. all i got was encouragement from ppl at the gym.
Hey, that young guy is Arnold Schwarzenegger when he first came to the USA for the first time to join in the Planet fitness, he couldn't speak English well.
I agree to a certain point, I lift but weighing myself too often gives me stress, once or twice per week is fine
And they give out free pizza. Not even joking....
A slice of pizza every other Monday isn't going to "derail" your diet.
@@Ponkdonker it's just strangely contrasting that it's done in a gym (empty carbs and sugars being two of the largest contributors to the high American obesity numbers).
So this is how they view bodybuilders and athletes? Like morons? I get what they are trying to do, but they are delivering their message all wrong.
you dont get what they are trying to do. they are convincing fat/ out of shape couch potatoes that they need not work hard or even look good. just register at their gym and show up maybe three to four times a month and feel like a champ. and they are delivering that message all right not wrong at all.
Ahmed Nabil Planet fitness is no different then any other gym. They act like they are so different.
'they' don't. they just profit off people that do. it's a genius idea.
people that don't think this way take it as a joke and people that do see it as 'finally, a gym for people like me!!!' (lazy shits who dont want to work out).
I don't understand why these bodybuilders chose to be in these condescending commercials...
Money
Bodybuilder's gotta eat
Bodybuilding is very expensive and time consuming. So why not do a quick ridiculous, and completely fictional commercial and get paid. Who wouldn't? Plant fitness pays these actors to try to sell stereotypes but we all know its just for entertainment
kewkew2 Not the people who go to PF, they believe these stereotypes are real
lol I know. I would never want to look like any of the planet fitness people in the commercials! Ill take the "Lunk" body.
0:51 “I lift things up and put them down” well if he looks like that, (better than anyone in planet fitness) then that’s a way better workout than anything at planet fitness!
He been lifting a needle and putting it down is what. Lest anyone be deceived.
Planet Fitness, where no gains are made.
Not to mention the masses expect their favorite sports heroes to look like this too. And their pissing over them too.
+Kashi Sinha
Portraying hardworking people as if they're mentally challenged is funny to you?

If you found the tone of this ad to be anything remotely close to "joking" then you need help.
+Red Dreaded Artistry And tootsie rolls. They have great tootsie rolls.
planet fitness is for People who don't work out!
So the next time you call a body builder an idiot, remember that they built themselves on knowledge and hard work.
pf008 planet fitness removed squat racks for being to " intimidating " they are the most pathetic thing on this planet
chez7755 They still have squat racks. There's just a sign on them that reads "No Deadlifts"
Legitimately, all these men seem like genuine sweethearts, i would love to bevat a gym where they'd choose to be
When I first heard about planet fitness and their $10 plan I was pretty impressed, and I actually signed up for the gym.
Sums it up beautifully
No Judgment Unless you are actually in shape!!! Lol. There is not a Single fit muscular person in these gyms. You can not get what you need from machines. Planet Fitness: "just be average".
No judgement huh? What a joke.
No one with a brain wants to be a "jock".
@@gitana1384 Guess somebody had his crush railed by a football playing chad. Cope harder
@@gitana1384 As someone who is a software engineer who earns a 6 figure salary, I take the jocks over the dweebs that you mentioned anyday of the week. Those dweebs are the ones who are most likely Deep State supporters and partake in cancel culture.
Ironically enough i think the bodybuilders stereotyped here are kinder and more passionate about their workout than the others. Would go to the gym with them
I get motivated when i see ppl who i want to look like. Not some scrawny looking nerds ffs
So much for "judgment free".

He made that bunny ears with ALL his heart, he should not be ashamed!
Planet fitness is only 'judgment free' if you are an overweight fat ass or a skinny wimp. People who take fitness/lifting seriously are shunned.
I agree completely. Planet Fitness is a joke.
Eric Iholts Can you just shut the fuck up and stop acting as salesman for shitty PF you fat slob . All the time spent replying could be spent in your PF with a slice of pizza :)
Eric Iholts The only idiot here is you. Everything you say to people here is projection.
Wow , fat man found a dictionary and through some sophisticated words together with no clear point or purpose . You are Beta , I Alpha . All that is needed to be known
No , fatass will reply with more projection. 'You are a narcissist!', he will reply, while turning his nose up in the air away from bodybuilders, as if he is superior.
You know, like a narcissist would.... He will never learn anything because his head is so far up his ass.
It's funny Gladiators, Spartans, Vikings, Titans, and etc. Most were big ass hell and fit to the max. Nobody was afraid of them. Where did this generation go wrong.
Most were"bigass" hell and fit to the max.
I know.
rstabler1 TITANS LMAO
Sheesh... One thing I can say about all the self-proclaimed "fitness enthusiasts" in this comment section is that none of them have a sense of humor. Seriously... Its just some light-hearted comedy....
Just a comedy? Even the cheapest gyms where I live doesn't promote any of the trash that planet fitness offers. I guess our standards are vastly different.
@@FreeKraps Jesus mate... Who hurt you so much you lost your sense of humor?
For being a "non-judgmental" gym, they sure judge the hell out of bodybuilders
Mike D well, they're intelligent enough to take care of themselves properly :D. Ditto. I was inspired by that in my own life.

Ironically I taught my kids the bunny ears song by watching this lol
Lol I wish I found this earlier.
All of the guys they hired for the commercial are probably the nicest guys in the world and just care about fitness.
what's really depressing is the bodybuilders here actually playing along with this shit.
“No judgement zone” guess not…
Lol black guy was awesome
Why is everyone so angry at the commercials. I’m a HUGE “gym bro” and I find these commercials hilarious and awesome. So should you
I didn't think people were this sensitive to simple jokes!
There's a big difference in "bodybuilding" gyms and everyday gyms...the LITERAL differences is glaring, these super buff guys know it, so why not shine some light-hearted light on it.
Because the one who make this commercial is a fucking hypocrite
Planet Fitness: if you drive to the gym so you can walk on a treadmill, you've come to the right place.
And nobody in a gym cares what YOU look like. Just put in the work. The only "judgment" going on is your own low self esteem thinking that someone else is looking down in you. I don't care if you're fat or whatever; you're at the gym trying to get better so great for you.
Planet Fitness is a judgement free zone that thinks bodybuilders are assholes.
Planet fitness sounds like the absolute shittiest place ever.
So this place os a "judgement zone"...
planet fitness: you're never going to get ripped.
Welcome to Planet Fitness! "Where-we-judge-you!"
this is starting to sound like an elementary school fight on your end. Goodbye.
I would best friends with all these guys, they seem like they'd be very good gym partners, and funny as people.
The only reason id get a membership is for the free pizza, bagels and tootsie rolls. I can see myself getting all kind of gains
„I lift things up and put them down”
So.. a regular workout which apparentelly Planet Fitness doesn’t promote.
When a 120 pound dude with zero muscle comes up to a 230 pound “lunk” and asks to leave is the time that 120 guy should be fearing for his life
Burn these gyms to the ground already! They are an embarrassment to all weightlifters.
My trainer helped me get started and gave me ideas on what to work on
This video made me gain 20 pounds of fat. Geez, planet fitness is a great depiction of what's wrong in our PC society

I get the whole “muscle = meathead stereotype” but doesn’t getting a body like that take a a lot of will and self control to do?
Not to mention discipline and character too. Because the first gain you actually get is not muscle but better attitude/
My friend told me that if you get too big they kick you out. I thought he was playing but after seeing this commercial I'm thinking its true.
Funny because their are a lot of big guys that work out at the PF in my area and no one bothers them. Its the behavior that gets you kicked out.
My friend got kicked out of PF. They told him he was lifting too much weight and scaring some of the people around him. He's a big guy but I have seen bigger guys there. He's also one of the nicest people who helps anyone so I know it's not his attitude.
Brendan MaNiA
It probably depends on the PF you go to because they don't bother anyone at the one I go to.
Aquarius Storm
Having trouble coming out of the closet Aquarius so you have to call everyone else a queer.
00:50 just realised he was dissing Arnold
Planet Fitness is for people who like texting while doing curls, more curls, sit ups, done.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
Come to a place where you won’t be judged but made fun of on our commercials
We shuold all be glad for these kind of gyms like someone said. They keep the better gyms cleaner.
Lol. This was actually very enjoyable to watch. Great start to my day =)
PF is a joke.
I love how they make fun of body builders for looking better than them🤣
yes well as a man doing body building doing two science degrees we are all muscly morons aren't we. great commercial..eye roll.

Really... its rare to find a dude THAT big... These commercials are all about judging. And obviously this guy is a riot, that's why Planet Fitness uses them commercials. WOW
Planet Fatness
Well the last clip is a bit offending and racist
So, this a commercial of a gym that actually wants to motivate you to get fit and become a client by implying that fit people are idiots.. It is like saying "don't worry you will never get fit in our gym.."
+Puckles100 why are there only two extreme options. a lot of the big muscular guys I know are incredibly intelligent and very well spoken humble people. anyone can be dumb and anyone can be smart. Just because someone enjoys working hard to have a strong and great looking body doesn't mean they're some knuckle dragging idiot
I like how the make bodybuilders look stupid. When they know the body on intimately.
The irony is that the buggiest guys are always the coolest. They are always down to correct and help you
damn, this commercial makes body builders look like assholes does it not? I used to weigh 300 pounds and I started working out 6 days a week. all i got was encouragement from ppl at the gym.
Where do these stereotypes come from?
