  • Hi, I am an early intermediate surfer who attempted the advanced session at URBNSURF trying to get my first Barrel. I was extremely nervous going into the session so I wanted to make this video so you won't be nervous like I was. I have some helpful tips and hints in this video that will make your first session much easier than mine.
Hope you enjoy and if you have any questions be sure to comment below and I will reply to everyone.

Awesome vid mate - please keep it up!
How often do you go urbnsurf? Do you surf other beaches around Melbourne?

Hey thanks for the kind words!
I go roughly once every 3-4 weeks, generally when the surf is bad in vic. I surf anywhere as I’m an hour or two from any beach so I just go to quieter places that are working. What about yourself?

I would have spent a lot more time in intermediate and then advanced turns first. You only need to hit the bottom or your board to get you on all those wipeouts and it can be pretty dangerous. Well done for wearing a helmet though.

Definitely recommend that to everyone as well but I had an opportunity to take on advance for cheap so thought why not

So you can hit the bottom easily?

Yes definitely hence the strong recommendation of using a helmet

Is that cause you can’t surf?
