- On the first episode of Game Cubed, we attempt our first ever CEX Roulette to see if we can cheaply add Gamecube games to the collection via the CEX website.

Enjoyed this mate - can’t beat a bit of GameCube content. Like yourself I’m a GameCube enthusiast shall we say and over the past year got into to collecting. There are some 400+ PAL titles I believe but I drew up a shortlist of just over 100 of the games which I will enjoy and also that seem unique and will hold value for sure. I only want complete titles in good condition so with that approach you’ve got to be patient, which is why I only purchase from CEX in person after giving it all the once over. Sometimes I will get from a retro game shop too (but prices can be hiked and I get that). Subscribed and looking forward to the next video. 👍🏻

Nice. My GameCube game collection currently consists of super Mario sunshine, sonic adventure 2 battle and Pokémon colosseum. Colosseum is missing the manual, but all other inserts are there

3 games there which I also HAD to have for my GameCube collection, I played so much Conflict and extreme G back in the day but still after Hot Pursuit 2, least that one had the manual!

It really surprises me what stuff CEX will accept. Some of the cardboard boxes for n64 I've seen are barely even a box anymore 😅 Thanks for watching

I’ve ordered 6 GameCube games from CEX, not a single manual 😢 worst part is I have vouchers to use and no local CEX to try (nearest an hour away). Postage fees seem so steep per item now too.
I definitely agree with that. It's just so expensive these days. Being limited to just the CEX website is pretty awful, as you'll be spending your vouchers on mostly the postage costs.

Been enjoying your channel mate👍 dammit sending a broken box is shameful. I'm not impressed with CEX just now just had the only copy of Wipeout 3 special edition posted with voucher. Disc was rattling about in the box but utter disappointment it just had wipeout 3 standard edition inside FFS. No other copies available😮. It's a lottery every time..
I'm really glad you're enjoying the videos. I really appreciate the support. Yeah, that's really scummy. They probably just stuck the first Wipeout 3 disc they could find rather than matching it up with the actual order.

Do CeX refund the postage costs as well if you take them back?
My local store did, thankfully. I'm not sure about other stores or if you post return it whether they do.
All cex listings now show weather or not it has a manual
That's half correct. That only goes up to the 5th generation (ps1, n64, saturn). The 6th generation only states manual or not with the really high cost games. So these cheaper titles were always going to be a gamble whether they came with manuals or not.

cex online is terrible everytime i order have to return i ordered micro machines on ps1 case was broken and disc was really bad scratched returned to my local store and he couldnt belive they sent me the item like that , if i buy online i like to see what im buying ie using ebay with clear pics etc :) good vid as always !"!
Thanks for watching. Yeah, CEX is really hit and miss. I can not imagine how people must when they spend over £100 on one game, and it turns up in absolutely dreadful condition. It's a gamble, I guess. However, I'd never pay hundreds on a game. No game is worth that, in my opinion.
@@command-and-console rather buy in shop puts me off now plus the postage at £3 aswell , i wouldnt pay 100 for game either unless i spent l;ike 20 on stuff and traded it in for 100 quid game lol when i was younger n64 game were like £70 when new out and that was the 90s lol
Dude personally I wouldn’t order low end titles as postage is so much comparatively. It’s not worth it IMO

I hate ordering online at cex i have just received my holy grail game rule of rose on ps2 and it came in on of those cardboard envelopes and it was battered, case came broken with the bits rattling around inside fortunately everything was still in good condition just switched the case hate cex roulette
Yeah. I bet that was frustrating. Especially when that game is like £500+. I wouldn't even pay that for a mint copy, but each to their own, I guess.
