  • This was our first go at using EbSynth, the new video style transfer tool.
The tool is still in beta, and this was only a rough first go at trying it, but the results already speak for themselves. We're able to get really cool stylized video images at a fraction of the speed that it would take without this tool.

    This is so inspiring!
I've done a couple of videos on EbSynth from still images, but going to have to try this method. Great work!

Yes but for videos that are say, 10 minutes long, say if the subject is doing anything more than just standing in place, this process can take an extremely long amount of time because of ebsynths artifacts. Did you find a way around that?

Does EB synth work well with a moving camera? I was gonna create environments in unreal, film greenscreen plate performane , and track the live action camera move to a virtual camera so I get perfectly tracked background plates, comp it all together and then pass it through EBsynth. Will it work or can't it handle moving shots?

It works well enough, you'll definitely run into a few artefacts, and you'll need to provide a few keyframes throughout the shot. It all depends on what the look you're going for is.

My ebsynth doesn't detect the video folder. It only selects one png file instead of all the frames :/
    Can anybody guide me?

1:13, how did you pain her body parts with solid colors like that? Although it s solid colors, shapes are complex, how did you define them to make sure to give color to the right parts?
Is the principle of EbSynth to sync all layers of solid colors to the source video file?

I basically just traced the main shapes from a single frame of the green screen footage with the lasso tool, then filled it in with a solid color.
EbSynth basically takes that 1 painted frame and tracks it onto the moving footage

Also made this demo using EB synth, I work for a VR company and was testing EB synth with 360 video content. This was the quick result. th-cam.com/video/vlGK3b0y5Vg/w-d-xo.html
