In today's video, we'll talk about how you can create awesome animations in a minimal amount of time. We'll go over using the EBsynth software to draw 1-3 images and apply those images to our video footage to easily turn them into full length animations! This is a great method for creating any type of video and you can have fun and experiment with different styles and looks. Enjoy!

EB smyth does not need the green screen step. Just make the key frame show only what you want to animate.

Thanks for the tutorial, but I had a hard time following you. It's obvious you know what you're doing, but I missed some important steps you either left out or covered too quickly. Please let me know how to merge the MP4 file with the EBScript frames.

Mac wouldn't let me download the Ebsynth. It said it could verify if the download had malware.

How do you have a custom colour scheme on after effects? I’ve never seen that before?
Very cool video! I wonder if it helps the software work better to shoot with a high shutter speed? My thoughts being that maybe motion blur in the video may throw it off?

Question. Is there a particular reason you did not start editing the error from frame 317 instead of 320? And also do you have to delete all frames after the error frame? Thanks in advance.

My EBsynth is running at about 3 frames per minute? Is that a lot slower than other people are getting? I'm on an older mac (late 2012)... 2.6 quad core i7 processor, 16 gb ram. It's gonna take 3 hours to do 500 frames and then I'm sure I'm going to need to fix something and run it at least 2 more times. Maybe it's time to buy a new computer...
Can you use an ipad instead of that tablet you used?
ebsynth is not AI...at least in terms that it does not rely on machine learning

It's highly recommended to shoot with a green screen. You could rotoscope a mask in after effects, but that requires much more attention and is more time-consuming.

Hello does anyone know a method by which I can add an effect done on one single PNG frame to the entire PNG frames automatically so that when I convert to video, the whole PNG sequence has the same effect on em. Eb Synth gives an error message on my PC. I'm trying to find a different method to go about it. Thanks!🙃

@@venomgold I later solved my problem tho. The problem was due to the dimension of the picture not matching with the other PNG frames of the video. After I edited/animated in Photoshop, Photoshop changed the dimension of the picture. EbSynth could not use that. It worked when I corrected that problem.
Hello Max I'm hoping you can give me some advice, on a problem I am having. I have a music video I directed back in 1983 live to tape with tv cameras of the day. I have been working on editing it. The cut I working on now was shot mostly wide shots. So when I go tight the video goes to mush because of the bad resolution. So l thought maybe I could cartoonize the tight shots. Do you have any suggestions?
You might have to manually fix each key frame where it mushes, essentially
Would this synthesiser also work with Final Cut Pro?
The EbSynth program exports directly to after effects, turning the images into clips and adding blends between output folders automatically. However, if you want to work exclusively in FCP you can import the output folder's images and drag them to the timeline-- then you just have to change the duration to bring the sequence to your desired framerate.

couldn't you also generate the style using AI..? Like with midjourney? Since you could pick a style and use a reference image and have the reference image have heavy influence.
