Hello ladies! I just stumbled across you - episode 4 the first so now catching up by binge watching. I am sorry for the loss of your Mother. We lost ours on Valentines Day this year. My birthday is February 2 and seeing Erinn's pattern made me think this was perfect for me to stitch - I have been looking for something to stitch in her honour so thank you. I love your humour and all the laughingin Episode 1 made me laugh out loud which has been hard these days. Thank you for bringing wonderful stitches and joy.
Thank you so much! 🥰 Grace and Peace fit together perfectly with minimal modifications - it's been so fun to stitch! Aurora Borealis is one of my favorite WIPs Erinn is working on! I get so excited to see her progress! 🤩
Thank you so much! I was so surprised and excited - I couldn't believe they both bought it on the same day. 😂 I love Erinn's project bags! They are so lovely - It's always fun to see the fabric that she chooses! 😍 We both love your videos, thank you so much for sharing your positivity and love of stitching!
I'm so happy to have found you girls! You're lucky to have each other as a stitching buddy, I wish I had a sister next door to stitch with. And your choice of patterns is so fun and unusual. Love all your birds and words and everything else! Stitch On!!!
We're so happy that you found us! We are very grateful that we live next door to each other and get to share this hobby. 🥰 We really appreciate you watching and commenting! Happy stitching! 🪡❤️
Damn, this 'in memory of your mother' stuff has me teary. My mother has small cell lung cancer. Please keep sharing these wonderful memories about your mother. I just love listening to them. I sure hope your husbands like each other since you two are total BFF sisters. Wait...snow dye? I would LOVE to see your fabric dying process.
We're so sorry to hear about your mother's cancer and are sending positive thoughts your way. We're happy to keep sharing memories of our mother - she was an incredible person. ❤️ Excellent point - luckily our husbands get along very well! 😂 Snow dyeing was so fun! We put some fabric in a Mason jar with water and Rit dye then added as much snow as could fit in the jar and put powder Rit dye on top. When the snow melted the Rit dye hit different parts of the fabric and made really fun patterns! I haven't been as excited to see snow since I was a kid hoping for a snow day off from school. 🥰
I told my friend that it was inevitable that I would eventually talk her into a cross-stitch TH-cam channel. She just sighed. (I've got oldest sibling energy and she's a youngest, so, you know)
Wonderful video, love all the unique to me patterns! Ty for mentioning Bananaoil fabrics, lovely fabrics. I just love your whole vibe and your banter is tremendous, gives me joy so ty. 🪡🧵☮️🐣
It makes us so happy that hanging out with us gave you joy! And we're always happy to tell people about BananaOil - she's an amazing artist and such a kind person. 🥰 Happy stitching! ❤️
Hello again, It is so good to see you and watch your very enjoyable video. I'm blown away not only by the number of starts you both have, but also by the amount of progress on your projects. Wow! The tributes to your mom are lovely, and i appreciate all the bird patterns. I have an abnormally large amount of bird patterns, too. Why is that?🤔 Anyway, Erin, your project bags are gorgeous; I especially like the Charley Harper fabric. If you ever decide to sell project bags (and i think you should), please put me down for the "fighting birds" fabric. Thanks for your time and talent! Until next time, Donna
Hi Donna! It's so nice to hear from you again! It was lovely to be able to start projects in our Mom's honor - her name was Donna too! It makes sense to have a large amount of bird patterns because they're the best! 😂 Thank you for the kind comments about the project bags. If I ever sell them I'll definitely save you a fighting birds one. 🥰 Thank you for watching! Happy stitching!
Thank you so much! We're so glad to hear that you enjoyed the videos. The project bags and keepers are so fun to make - it's like a hobby within a hobby! Happy stitching to you too! 🪡
Hi ladies😁 I enjoy your Flosstubes so much! Those bags are sooo beautiful and love the size❤️❤️ Can’t wait to see your progress on your wonderful WIPS😊
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind comments! 🥰 We've really enjoyed sharing our stitching. I (Amity) couldn't agree more - Erinn's bags are lovely! I think she really enjoys making bags as her hobby within a hobby. 😂 Happy Stitching!
Hey, I am a Charley Harper fan, too, and I collect a lot of the fabric. Great idea for the mystery stitch on Ink Circles designs. I like those bright, neon colors. I bought MFE SALentines, too. I started the star looking chart first to get a feel for stitching this kind of design. And somehow, I managed to mix up color placement. I noticed about half way through, so I'll start that over.
So glad you got your unicorn Bird Book! Ohhhh you all three did so well on your Secret SAL. Beautiful color choices. So many great bags and project keepers. I love that you are honoring your mother with stitching projects. She would so love seeing your floss tubes… I know I do!
Thank you! I was so surprised and excited - I couldn't believe they both bought it on the same day. 😂 The Secret SAL was so much fun! It was so interesting to see the floss and fabric that everybody chose! I love Erinn's project bags! They are so lovely - It's always fun to see the fabric that she chooses for those too! We appreciate your comment about the pieces we did to honor our mom. She was amazing and we are so grateful she shared her love of cross stitch with us! ♥️ Happy Stitching!
Amity, I found your long dog on fb and fell in love with your stitching. I watched your flosstube and now love both you and your sister, your vibe, your stitching, the whole deal! X
Oh my goodness, Jenny - thank you for watching and for your kind comments here and on FB! 🥰 We've really enjoyed making videos and being part of such a lovely community. I’ve realized how addicted I am to Long Dogs and am starting two more this week 😅
Yay, Kentucky stitchers! I’m in south central Ky. So sorry to hear about your mom. I just lost my Dad to cancer in February. Sending prayers for you both and your whole family. 💕
Yes - yay for Kentucky stitchers! We've had so many people reach out that are in KY. We're sorry to hear about your Dad and hope that he left you with lots of great memories. Sending all of our love to you and yours ♥️
Hi guys! Such good videos and great laughs. Grace and Peace I have never seen. Erinn great job starting linen, and over 2 etc yay. Sorry about your mum, and that she fought so long. Lost my mum in 2009 to cancer, although I was lucky to have her much longer than you two as I am now 67. Hugs
Hi! Thank you so much. 🥰 Our Mom was always very proud of how stubborn she was, so definitely put up a great fight. We're so sorry to hear about your Mom and hope that she left you with lots of great memories. ♥️
Loved your video. And so happy to see you found copies of your bird patterns. I really enjoy the variety of patterns you show. So many that I haven't seen before.
Girls, it’s not often, that I stay up past my bedtime but I had to watch your video. You are so much fun to watch and I laughed along with you. So entertaining! Thanks for cheering me up after a long hard work day ❤️❤️ Erinn, your project bags and keepers are beautiful! 😍😍 Amity is a so lucky to have you and give her all these beauties 😍😬 I’m super excited to start the Ink Circles mystery stitch with you and I will definitely rewatch this video because you have sooo many beautiful projects going on that I want to do now as well 😂 Thank you for this video and Happy Stitching in the upcoming weeks. Already looking forward to your next video ❤️❤️ You‘ve quickly become one of my favorite flosstubers!
Alex! Thank you sooo much! We're glad that you stayed up past your bedtime to hang out with us and that it cheered you up. 🥰 We're excited for the mystery stitch and are so glad you're going to stitch it too! You'll have to help us pick out the pattern for the next round! I (Amity) am definitely lucky that Erinn's always experimenting with new bag ideas. 😂 Happy Stitching! We hope you're enjoying stitching on Cabin in the Woods as much as we are! 🦨
Thank you so much!! I think A Symphony of Friendship is going to cause a mass shortage of that brown floss. 😅 It’s going to be so fun to see everyone’s progress on it though! 😍
I am enjoying your banter and project variety so much! You’re both a joy to watch. I really like the German pattern book and the story of how you acquired them - yay for sneaky family members! 😂 can’t wait for your next video!
I’m working my way through the back catalog after Pam and Steph named you their Silver. I love the project bags. Have you ever considered doing a tutorial flosstube on them or even selling the instructions on Etsy? The pocket for patterns but still having the vinyl for seeing is such a great idea. Great video as usual!
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰 We love Pam and Steph and we were so honored that they mentioned us! ♥ I agree - Erinn makes amazing bags! We have been discussing filming a tutorial, but haven't been able to figure out the logistics yet. She used a few TH-cam tutorials when she started, if you want to check those out! One is from elizabethanncanstitch and is called "Vinyl Front, Project Bag Tutorial for Cross Stitch Projects" and the other one is from Fat Quarter Shop and is called "How to make an easy WIP Project Bag with Vinyl and a Zipper | Fat Quarter Shop" Hope this helps! Happy Stitching! 🪡
Another awesome video ladies, your progress on the projects is wonderful, another couple of patterns added to my very long wishlist haha. Keep up the great work and the lovely banter you both have. Take care and happy stitching 🌷🌷 from Judy in New Zealand FT An Aussie in a Kiwi world
I can already tell you two are going to be trouble. During your finish parade I had to pause the video and purchase charts from Hannah Stitching. Today, before I could stop myself, I was schooming fabric from Banana Oil. Thanks for finding gems from unknown shops! I think The New England stitcher was starting the Cottage Garden BAP for her Leap Day start. She mentioned it in her last Flosstube. I’m eagerly awaiting your next video…my credit card not so much!
Haha! We enjoy sharing things we love and are so happy you enjoy them too! Banana Oil fabrics are so amazing - we are both obsessed! 😍 I (Amity) will definitely have to check out The New England stitcher! I would love to follow her progress. We are looking forward to enabling you even more in our next video! Happy Stitching!
Oh gosh - thank you so much! I've really enjoyed learning more about sewing and it's fun to have a hobby within a hobby! We both love your videos and really appreciate you taking the time to watch ours! 🥰
I’m with you two; I love stitching text, but somehow not alphabets 😁 So many beautiful new starts, and also fun to see the WIP progress since your parade video. Have a wonderful next few weeks of stitching!
Thank you so much! I don't know why words and alphabets are so different in my head - but I just don't enjoy stitching alphabets! 🤷🏻♀️ I'm definitely going to look for some more starts with words though! Happy Stitching!
Lots of fun again. I posted my video Monday morning saying you had one video…I was accurate for a few hours only. That makes me happy actually because it means you are going to have regular uploads.
Thank you so much for watching and for mentioning us in your video! I (Amity) have The Peacock Tree pattern too and am excited to start it. I love your idea of stitching the peacocks in a different color!
Thanks for another wonderful video overflowing with beautiful projects, joy, and inspiration! Your new project bag/portfolio fabrics are perfect 😍I already have so many stitching plans set for March, but if you are still working on the secret SAL in April I will totally join in then! Happy stitching 💕
Thank you so much! We were so nervous at first but are really enjoying sharing our stitching with such a kind community. We’re planning on doing the secret SAL reveal on May 31st and would LOVE for you to join if it ends up fitting into your plans! 🥰
I found you ladies from Stephanie & Allison at Cross Stitch the Globe and it was a fast subscribe. I love your energy and both episodes you’ve made me laugh. Can’t wait to follow along with you this year!
We’re so glad you found us! Stephanie and Allison are great and we were so excited when they mentioned us. Thank you for watching and subscribing and laughing along with us! 🥰
Great show! I found out about you from Sew Me Sarah. Love all of your stitching. I just ordered the Ink Circles pdf pattern and plan on stitching along. Love the pick your own colors idea. Thank you!
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰 We love Sew Me Sarah and we were so honored that she mentioned us! ♥ We are so excited that you are joining in on the secret Garden of Zig SAL! (So sorry it has taken us so long to respond!) Please let me know if you would like to be added to the group chat we have going on Instagram! You can message me there at BoomerangStitches. Also, I am trying to incorporate everyone's initials into my piece - let me know if you would like me to add yours! (And if so, what initials you would like me to use.) We hope you have a great day! Happy Stitching! 🪡
I also bought A Symphony of Friendship by Cottage Garden Samplings as soon as it came out 😂 but I’ve only just managed to get all the overdyed floss for it!
Thank you so much! We really appreciate you watching and commenting. 🥰 It’s been so much fun having this in common and it’s been especially helpful for me (Erinn) to have Amity there when I have questions!
Yay! I’m so glad you’re doing the fabfoursal! Your octopus is coming along quick! 🐙 I love seeing what you guys are stitching so many great pieces ❤❤❤ great video! 👍👍
Thank you so much! The octopus has been a really fun stitch so far and it’s great to see what everyone else is working on for the SAL. 🤩 We’ve really enjoyed watching your videos and love the extras! You can tell how much care goes into them. 🥰
Thank you so much! We would love for you to stitch Ink Circles with us!! Dyeing fabric is so much fun. We hope you decide to stitch it so we can see how it turns out! 🤩
Really loved you ladies.... found myself smiling through the whole thing. I have a Sister that I am close to as well.. we live in different states so travel is required.. but we both love to craft all things. . but She did just relocate to Tennessee in stead of California.. Much closer.. I am in Texas. Keep up the good work.. You both are not afraid of LARGE prjojects. Certainly hope to meet you both. Loved the plant story.. Really looking forward to all your Flosstubes. I have never heard of Banana Oil Fabric, Hope I can grab some before they run our. Loved the extra pocket project pouch.. S. M. A. R. T. !!!
Thank you so much! It's so nice to hear that your sister has moved closer! It's great to be able to share hobbies with family. Definitely try to get some BananaOil fabric if you can - it's all SO pretty! We're glad you liked the plant story and we're looking forward to filming more Flosstubes! ♥️
I’d love to stitch Garden of Zig with you! I went on 123 to order it and it’s out of stock, just my luck. I’ll let you know if I get it somewhere else in the meantime. What a fun idea. The three you did/showed from the secret stitch are stunning. Thanks for a great video and thanks for sharing your art 😊
Thank you so much! We would love for you to stitch Garden of Zig with us! Ink Circles had it on their website (paper and PDF) if it doesn't come back in stock on 123. We're going to set up a group chat on Instagram soon for anyone that wants to join. 🥰
Thank you for watching! We have so much fun filming! 🥰 I typically use Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to do my mock ups. I take a picture of the fabric and scale it in the program to be the actual size, then I scale the pattern and layer it on top. It's not exact, but I feel like it's a close enough representation and helps me decide where to place my pattern! Hope this helps!
I just discovered you two. Love the diversity of all of your projects, many I have never seen! Your project bags are beautiful. What vinyl do you use in your bags and also what do you use for the stabilizer?
Thank you so much! We really appreciate you watching and commenting! That's so kind of you to say about the bags! I've been using 16 gauge vinyl and use a couple of different stabilizers - for fleece in the back section of the bag Pellon 987F and Pellon SF101 for the pocket. Happy stitching!
Oh wow, a lot of fun fun again :) Thank you! I have a question: how do you do a mock up on a unique piece of fabric? Talking about the Owl forest pattern. How did you do it? It's amazing!
Thank you again for watching! 🥰 I used Adobe Illustrator to mock up my Owl Forest project. I just took a picture of the fabric and placed it in Illustrator. Then I scaled it to be the actual size of the fabric. After that, I took placed the pattern in on top of the fabric photo and scaled it according to the size fabric I was using. Then I just moved it around until I found the placement I liked! 😊
@@HathawayStitchers oh wow, sounds ... time consuming :) But I can imagine this could be an awesome online service. We need someone who can automate the process :D
On the Peace and Grace set, I would use the same fancy alphabet letters on each. The letters all repeat except the G, and G is always a little weird so it can get a pass. Also, on the model, the words are on a different background color and those two colors clash for me, so I would stick with the original background.
These are great suggestions! I was struggling with how to do the words, and ultimately decided to not include them. However, if I change my mind I will definitely use your ideas - they're great! Thank you!
Derp. I just reread my comment and realized I was counting the P and the R as repeating letters because it is so easy to add the downstroke. lol Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only person who had to stop and give the words a think.@@HathawayStitchers
Thank you so much! The needles are Sullivan's Easy Guide Ball-Tip Needles. I got them from 123Stitch and love them! They were a little bit pricey, but made a big difference for me with higher count fabric. We're so sorry to hear you lost your sister and hope that you have many lovely memories to remember her by. ♥️
Love all ur wips from this video! Where did you get that bright colored racoon fabric that u made the bag with?!?!?! It is SO cool!!! 😎 Hoop it up with Jan recently put out a new ft and mentioned she is also starting that beatles sal... shes finished others from that series too that she showed; u gotta check her channel out if u havent already! Happy stitching! Cant wait to see #3!!😊🪡❤️
Thank you so much! I got the raccoon fabric from Fat Quarter Shop. It’s called Tiny Beasts Glow - One Man’s Trash and the designer is Tula Pink. There’s also a hot pink version called Glimmer. I just looked and it’s still in stock! 🛍️ We’ll definitely check out Hoop It Up with Jan! Thanks for the recommendation! 🤩
Thank you! If we see any other copies of the bird book available we'll send the links your way! I don't think you're bad at searching - I think a lot of people want to stitch those birds and are watching for it!
The only problem I see here is that there are so many bird patterns we still don't own. 🤷🏻♀️ We will definitely have to check out the shop in Springdale! The one Erinn went to in Latonia had a really good selection. We're hoping to come stitch at Keepsakes again soon - so hopefully we will see you there! 🥰
Really enjoying your videos! A pocket in the vinyl front bags is genius! 🤯 Happy stitching.
Thank you so much for watching! 🥰 I agree - Erinn's idea to add the pocket was genius! We hope you have a great day! Happy Stitching! 🪡

Thank you so much! I would love to be able to make bags as beautiful as yours some day. My new one was just delivered today and it's perfect! 🥰
I have color completed a project before, there were around 28 colors or so. It was so fun and satisfying to watch the project come along that way 😊😊
That's awesome! ♥️ I've enjoyed it so far - maybe I'll try a larger project with more colors next time! Happy Stitching! 🪡

Oh I loved you secret Sal bit Garden of Zig was so wonderful in original colours … I’m not sure I’d want to change it
The called for colors are definitely stunning - I don't blame you for not wanting to change them! 🤩
You are such a prolific project bag maker! I tried making them and it was like over 2 hours for one wonky-looking bag and I gave up!

Thank you so much! I don't know why words and alphabets are so different in my head - but I just don't enjoy stitching alphabets! 🤷🏻♀️ I'm definitely going to look for some more starts with words though! Happy Stitching!

I also bought A Symphony of Friendship by Cottage Garden Samplings as soon as it came out 😂 but I’ve only just managed to get all the overdyed floss for it!
It's such a pretty pattern! It was crazy how quickly some of those colors sold out. Glad you were able to get them all! 🥰

Thank you so much! We definitely got our love of crafts from our Mom. 🥰 Lina is VERY rare so it might be hard to find! 🤣
LOVED your video!
Oh my goodness - thank you so much! 🥰
Wonderful video! Really enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing! Subscribed so I don't miss a thing! Have a wonderful rest of your day! Felicia
Hi Felicia! Thank you so much for watching! We both really enjoy your channel also. Looking forward to your next video! Happy stitching! 🥰
you guys are my new favourite flosstubers! so funny and i love every single one of your projects :)
Oh gosh - that is so incredibly kind of you to say! We are so flattered! We really appreciate you watching - we have a lot of fun filming. 😍
Love your videos!!!
Thank you so much! They're a lot of fun to make!
So much fun! I crack up along with you. One question - what do. You use for your mock ups? 😊
I have to ask - what do you do to create your mockups? They are so good and accurate!
What was the needles you were talking about. I love your channel. It makes me think about my sister I lost years on thanksgiving.
Hoop it up with Jan recently put out a new ft and mentioned she is also starting that beatles sal... shes finished others from that series too that she showed; u gotta check her channel out if u havent already!
We’ll definitely check out Hoop It Up with Jan! Thanks for the recommendation! 🤩

Thank you! If we see any other copies of the bird book available we'll send the links your way! I don't think you're bad at searching - I think a lot of people want to stitch those birds and are watching for it!
Thanks!@@HathawayStitchers

Hi Kari! If we see another copy of the bird book we’ll definitely let you know!🤞🏻
#wehaveabirdproblem 😂 I'm so happy to enable! There's a fabric shop in Springdale that carries Charley Harper fabric 😍❤🥰
