for the light that's constant on the switch.. check if it's connected to ignition 12v and not directly to the battery..that way when the ignition is off the power will cut from the switch.. that's of you haven't already done so
As much as I'd like to see the Chevelle, I think it would be better to bring a newer car since you like mercedes for e.g. way less stress and tbh dependent on the class you gonna run you might have to cage up the car etc for safety and thus making it a bit less comfortable for road driving
You’re having constant power to the switch that is why the light stays on! That system (push button start) is more for a newer model car so that maybe the reason why it’s not turning off! Any how I hope you figure it out! Do a LS2 swap in di Chevy
