I had a great time on this little bike and I'm sure it would continue to surprise me if I had ridden it for longer. We just come out of a cold snap here in the UK, I don't envy your winters!!
Great review. I bought one a couple of weeks ago for pottering around on, while keeping my other bike for longer tours and ride outs with friends. I must admit, I come back from rides on the Meteor with a bigger smile than I've had for ages. I'd forgotten what fun its can be to take things more slowly and simply enjoy the ride; and with an increasing number of average speed cameras, it has all the performance I need for most roads round here. I haven't had a heel and toe shifter since a couple of Guzzi Californias many years ago, but within a few miles I'd adjusted to it again and found it amazingly smooth. I think it may be one of the best gearboxes I've ever had.
Overall this bikes offers a lot for the money. We cannot expect miracles for that amount, but still it will take you from A to B very easily. I like your new titles style. Great video Rikky. Keep it up. My like was no. 43.
Congratulations! You are right, it does feel smooth... smoother than many people might assume it would be. I bet you are looking forward to coming riding season now 😊
Loverly little bike Rikky just perfect for those country lanes and around town also those not so nice days that are a bit murky , all in all a good second bike why not !! . I do like the Enfield's collection the only thing for these models is power could be a bit hit and miss on the overtake if you get one of these types that just decide they don't want you passing them you could be hung out to dry .😉👍
On my Meteor the engine loosened up after 1000 km and the performance increase was definitely noticable. She'll happily cruise at 100km/hr and top speed is a shade over 120km/hr. Once you get used to the heel/toe shifter live becomes easier, flat soled boots help, as do the wider touring foot pegs.
Great review! Seems like most people on here are quite pleased with the bike, although there are also a fair number of complaints about a harsh ride on poorer surfaces. Would a new set of rear shocks take care of that problem?
Sorry for the late reply, yes I'd imagine higher quality shocks woudl help quite a bit, but then that might show up the forks for the budget items they are... could get expensive!

The Meteor certainly took me by surprise and pottering around is the ideal thing to do with this bike!

rode on this same exact bike at frasers about a week ago! did a similar route as well, ordered one because i loved how smooooth it was

Yes it's a lovely little bike, probably best not to attempt many overtakes 😁 It's one of the bikes that made me realise that going slow can be fun!
