    Hi Chris - first and foremost, thank you. Loved this one... because it really got me thinking. When you first put the white frame over the very colourful piece, I nthought - hey - wow. And then you went and covered it all up with white! And I thought Wow, but with a different voice in my head. I would love to know the thoughts that go through an artist's head at that moment - I thought it looked so great all colourful.

      Hey Emmanuel! That is a great question that I'm not sure I can answer. Looking back at that stage now, I wonder the same thing. I especially like the last orientation when I put the mat on. I think what was going through my head at that point was that it felt too cluttered and busy. Obviously, one of the downsides to doing such a quick painting is not allowing yourself the time to stop painting and just look at it. It's easy enough to do if you remember. Thanks for the question!

      @@chrisloudart And thank you for taking the time to answer. On we go with fun with art. My abstracts are always too cluttered.

    I love these Chris. Keep them coming! The layering is incredible and the finished piece was a bit of a surprise - a good one, but didn't see it going that way. Thank you for taking the time to share - it's genuinely appreciated AND inspiring.

      Hey D C! Thank you! To be honest, I didn't see the finished piece going that way either. That's one of the things about painting that I love - all of the surprises. 😀

    I keep scrap pieces of paper, junk mail, shopping bags, envelopes and magazine pages which I deem interesting and with the left over palette paint, or just mucking about with my pencils, crayons and markers, I create little greeting cards, tiny abstract works and sketchbook pieces such as yours. It's fun to do and I try not to allow my brain to tell me what I do, so I often close my eyes and let 'er rip. LOL. Tks for sharing yours..it reminds me a bit of Kandinsky's style. Cheers from sunny FL :)

    From The minute 5:20 to 5:44 I love it, i dont kkow why u wasn't happy, although it finished good, but it was very expresive, and explosive and I like it, although the final was shy but delicate, just with a fine delicate touch of color very elegant really good too, love it .

      @chrisloudart  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are the second person to mention that to me. My goal on this piece was to create a little chaos on the page, then to calm it down. I find that in most of my videos I have several places where I could have stopped and left it alone. Thank you for all of the feedback. I enjoy hearing your thoughts.

  • @annrubino6252
    @annrubino6252 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    That is a dynamic tutorial - thank you! I shall strive to keep going through my "unhappy" bits in the hope that something exciting emerges. Have to ask, what is the yellow hue you are using? It is very intense and the resulting greens when bumped into the ultra. bl. are somewhat acidic. During your process, I really dislike it (with all due respect) but in the end, it contributes essentially to the beautiful outcome.

    • @chrisloudart
      @chrisloudart  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, Ann! That was cadmium yellow deep hue - almost has a rich egg yolk color. I agree, it does not look great when washed over the blue, but when mixed properly the green they create is much more pleasant.

      @@chrisloudart So kind to answer my ? Chris. Must be my computer because I regularly use cad. ylw. m. although cheap brands which are probably not highly pigmented. Anyway, it's the end result that counts, right!
