Bro u don't even need Arduino cause Arduino cost above 450₹ instead of that just get a servo sg90 which is hardly 100₹ open the servo I will get servo board remove the motor connect 3 input pins to receiver then connect the servo out put wire which was connected to motor ne connect it to enable one channel that's it now u don't need pwm signal and now u can control the speed and direction like actual esc without coding

i wanted to use the same motors for a pan and tilt and flysky. up and down for one of the motors side to side on the stick for the other motor. this is a great video for remote car . can you do pan and tilt for camera

What voltage you used? (Battery lipo)
The recevier, not will burn? Beacuse this have a voltage max. 8.4V
I have used 11.1v Lipo battery.
But for the receiver, i have given 5v from the Arduino board.

That you cannot do in DC Motor, you have to use servo motor

If I power the remote control with a 7.4 volt battery, it will drop to 5 volts or the same voltage I supplied, and if it goes to the 12 volt current, will my remote control be damaged?

If I connect 12 v ground to arduino, it can burn arduino?
No.
If you connect only the Gnd of 12v supply to Arduino Gnd, no issues.
But not supposed to connect 12v positive to Arduino pins.

Hey, i tried but my motor instantly started rotating and not responding to any actions. Could you let me know where i went wrong
First check if the receiver values are getting on the Arduino pin by printing on serial monitor.

Once check the Motor driver separately whether it's working fine or not. Sometimes it happens if your motor driver has problem.
