    I also think these 12v screwdrivers are a big game changer in diy / household maintenance for people who are looking for a drill to just assemble small things around the house

    I have the DeWalt 12v screwdriver, impact driver and drill. They are great tools for diy guys.

    That screwdriver will be a popular tool. I can see the appeal of it now. Just like a drill but smaller with no loud noise.

    It was a tough decision between this and the Atomic(the 887 costs too much still) and decided to pull the trigger on this today(got the kit $80). My first impressions are very positive, it's so cute and small, smaller than my Makita(XDT11) impact which is already pretty small. I drilled some decent sized holes and tested out a range of screw sizes up to 3 inch. The precision feature is nifty. It's not the fastest little guy. But cool features. Gonna test it some more and see if it's worth keeping. Reviews seemed very positive compared to the Atonic line.

    How come the testing for the screwdriver didn't involve driving any screws? Would have been interested to see how it did with different sized fasteners

    • @ManCaverTools
      @ManCaverTools  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      because they drive them in in less than a second. I randomly do normal screws in my videos and its not worth doing. results end up being 0.98 Sec lol

    That screwdriver is basically the same thing as a drill with a hex drive minus the chuck. If you decide to get the Makita 12v set, be sure not to get the entry level set at Home Depot, get the brushless set online.

    • @ManCaverTools
      @ManCaverTools  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it still has some power for a 12v

      Not really. The drill has two speeds where the screwdriver doesn’t.

    Ryobi needs to update their 12v game. I recently bought the dewalt 12v extreme drill. Waiting on it to arrive from amazon.
    It would be super cool if Ryobi did a “micro” line. Which would basically be 12v size tools but run off the 18v batteries.

    • @ManCaverTools
      @ManCaverTools  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Micro would be a bad ass name for it too, they really need to step up there game big time on the 12v line

    Screwdriver is not meant for drilling. Its clutch is meant for torque and for putting in screws on delicate wood like furniture

    No man should ever refer to tools or, anything that has to do with tools, as “cute” 😂😂

  • @A.Dude.
    @A.Dude. 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You say "A low-end tool like this"... You might not be good with words, but this is actually a high-end tool, meant to cover the low end power spectrum. Trust me; I'm better with tools then you are by a multiple! This is the combination of everything you can wish for in a screwdriver; BL motor, light, clutch, minimalist footprint, amazing ergonomics, low noise, rubber protection all around, fast in-out bit holder. There is nothing left to be desired and there is no comparable on the market at this point. I would skip the drill, if anyone might ask me...

    • @ManCaverTools
      @ManCaverTools  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      12v are my favorite tools, this is low end compared to is XR bigger bothers

    • @A.Dude.
      @A.Dude. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ManCaverTools You keep making the same mistake, which lets me believe that you don't speak English. "Low-end" as opposed to "high -end" means that something is of bad quality. Following your logic, a low torque/precision can never be a high-end tool and this is false! Basically in your opinion no small tool will ever be better than large tools... Again, because you must be from overseas somewhere, LO-End = entry level/poor quality ; High-end = High quality/top of the line. There is no relationship between these terms and size/power, ONLY if compared with identical items which under/over perform. Have a nice life!

    Cool. That would be perfect for the occasional DIY men out there!! Yes that's at LOWES. I know both Home Depot & Lowes very well. Also I think that would be Great for certain type of professional contractors, electricians, plumbers, etc... for less powered jobs out there to have. Agree 1000% on the Brushless way to go because so many are spoiled now & expect it these days. Even though Brushed is plenty for most & works quite well, it's a mindset now for "Brushless"!! Lol
