You would benefit greatly from having both Yuzu and Ryujinx, since games will have different performance for both emulators. Plus the firmware and keys from Ryujinx can be used for Yuzu and vice versa.

@@RGT85 Hey, my gpu usage is very low, my cpu and ram usage is around 50%. Why does the framerate go all over the place, particularly when there are a lot of animated characters on screen.
@@technicmachine It's showing 50% CPU usage, but it's actually 100% on one of the cores. Not all CPU usage is picked up by hardware monitors, especially if you're not looking at every core. The solution is to wait for them to optimize the emulator better, or get a faster CPU(which might require a motherboard upgrade).
XCI (not XCL) is a full dump of a game cartridge. NSP is a digital game file, and NSZ is a compressed game file. If you install a XCI it becomes a NSP file which you can then export and also install.
@@MortalKombatMW3you can just google the game name and put nsp or xci at the end and you’ll find plenty of websites. You will probably have to go through a few weird steps like waiting and scrolling to find continue but you’ll get to the download eventually.

XCI game files are cartridge dumps, NSP are the equivalent of eShop titles. If you install an XCI file it has to convert to NSP internally first, I believe.
It doesn't have to be converted but you are right...I have the XCI version but some people say they have the NSP version...I prefer the XCI version because I have a modded switch...but be careful some NSP files are modified.

Just want to say this is a really great tutorial. I especially loved the fact that you specified why you couldn't say where to get the prodkeys and firmware. All the other tutorials just said that they couldn't say where to get them.
Pretty cool stuff. As a creator I couldnt emulate modern games and still enjoy it but as someone who is so sick of there legal dept and anti consumer practices I do enjoy seeing Nintendo lose some control even if they do make the funnest games imo.
This is actually really smart because as long as you do use this legally, every switch game you own can legally be backed up for preservation. The Switch is such a popular console that I see a lot of people who don't normally emulate using this for preservation which is an excellent thing. The Switch might end up being the most preserved console library of all time because of this lol.

I am currently running an RTX3060, Ryzen 7 5700G, 32g ram, on an asus Prime motherboard, I've got a 3080 on its way so I'm looking forward to cranking this up to 4k, I played the intro on my Switch and decided I'm going to play it on something that can play it comfortably at 60fps and look like it came out in 2020 not 2006 (the switch is basically as powerful as a PS3/360) thanks for the video 😁

I wanted to play through BotW again and figured I should get an emulated version for a better experience, but the yuzu process was pretty complicated and I pretty much hit a wall when the guide said I needed a hacked switch. My switch is all above ground and updated properly so I figured I was just out of luck.
Congrats that you solved your problem, and you probaly know this next bit, but I found CEMU to be easier for BOTW. Was there any extra gameplay for switch that the wii U did not get?

Ryujinx is stuck on auto save for me and idk what to do. One game I'm trying to load needs to create a save, so it's autosaving nonstop. The game is unplayable for me...

To my surprise, Ryujinx runs reasonably well on a M1 Pro MacBook. Like good enough to run a large game like BOTW (with slight but bearable performance issues).
I connected my Xbox Controller and have 2 issues: 1.) the cursor moves all over the screen with my right joystick 2.) certain buttons bring up the "are you sure you want to close ryujinx, and then will close out if I dont click no with my mouse. Wtf!?

hey just use wii U USB helper for botw, runs flawlessly. I get around 150 fps at 2k and settings turned up a bit

Ryujinx is stuck on auto save for me and idk what to do.
One game I'm trying to load needs to create a save, so it's autosaving nonstop.

Thanks for this. I got my pc to emulate Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The only thing is despite having a GTX 1080 I routinely get in the low 20s fps.

Better cpu maybe? I run a 1080 with R5 3600x on SSDs and it's 1440p 60fps

To my surprise, Ryujinx runs reasonably well on a M1 Pro MacBook. Like good enough to run a large game like BOTW (with slight but bearable performance issues).

all i have to say it... It works and it works pretty well. :)
I connected my Xbox Controller and have 2 issues:
1.) the cursor moves all over the screen with my right joystick
2.) certain buttons bring up the "are you sure you want to close ryujinx, and then will close out if I dont click no with my mouse.

Totk is only working on ryuiinx for the moment but yea I can’t wait for it to run on yuzu.
Is yuzu in a good state now? I tried it about a year ago and it could not run many AAA games. mostly indie stuff
