My first time playing on emulator was ppsspp on android like around 2015/2016. And then around the same year, it was ps2 emulator, i think it was pcsx2 if i'm not mistaken
So my first Iphone is Iphone 15 pro and I will not be buying any more Apple devices. You have different apps based on if it's mac/iphone/ipad. But Iphone is powerful enough to work as a laptop - but you don't have a desktop mode like android because it means there will be no need for you to buy a mac or a ipad (unless you need some specific feature like drawing on a tablet). I'll probably go with something like minisforum v3 and run arch.

If you connect a cable from an iOS device to Mac, even if you use Airdrop, it actually uses the cable if faster than the local wifi network it makes. recommend a usb 3.1 cable.

I’d guess they’re doing this to lower demand for side loading in the rest of the world preventing more regulation.
This brought so much life to my Iphone 12 pro max. All I need is a new battery change and I can use this iphone for many more years. Having the Dolphin emu on iphones would be cool one day not gonna lie. But been having a blast playing the Smackdown vs Raw games on my phone!
My favorite way to move files to iPhone from windows is just installing iCloud on my pc. Then I can automatically sync the files from my iCloud folder to the phone, vice versa. And I don’t even have to stay at home and wait for it to finish!
This guide was so helpful, and It’s so good that apple finally allowed emulators (easily) on iPhone, so who knows maybe one day JIT emu will also come, and phones can become emulation beasts😄

This is actually insane I’ve been wanting to do this since i was child like iPhone 6 days. I’ve done everything from jailbreak to paying delta to bypass stuff on my iPhone so I could play it without issues.
I can't believe this. I have been wanting to play DS games on TV while ysing my phone as the 2nd screen and controller simultaneously for so long and never found a way! Now it's possible. That's just crazy
I found the Lightning version of the PS back bone on eBay for $45 open box. It had the camera adapter in there, for phones with big camera bumps, like mine, and also the $25 PSN code hadn’t been redeemed. So I essentially got it for $20. Sure it might be outdated kinda soon, but it’s just $20, and the biggest Lightning iPhone, a 12/13/14 pro max, should still work decently
6:19 Ok to be fair the logo is identical, just stretched slightly, zoomed out, then the purple added instead of red. It’s a relatively boring logo then compared to now as well, so I think this was a good change.

Anyone else’s iPhone get stuck when trying to use Shortcuts? It shows it trying to launch in the Dynamic Island but never actually launches the game or even PPSSPP… I setup everything as in the video and even tried leaving the file to launch using Default App.
Apple is not allowing JIT probably because it’s keeping that card for their exclusive gaming move. Hideo Kojima’s game got ported on the iPhone. A PS4 game, on your smartphone. Let that sink for a second. It’s exciting but also disappointing because we have no idea if Apple will step up the game on gaming or just hoard the processing power and not use it to its fullest to release or “re-release” some solid games. I get both sides. I get the frustrated developers side who don’t want gate keeping and I get the revenue focused side, because that’s what every company in the world is created to accomplish. The one I'm looking forward to is ScummVM, which isn't *technically* am emulator (it's more akin to a collection of source ports) but point and click games on an iOS device just makes so much sense. (Edit: Game list? I've got a lot of them. Mystand ME, Riven, Myst 4 (Which I don't really expect to be working on iOS), all of the Lucasarts, some Humongus games, the Journeyman Project games, a couple of Sierra games. Probably Riven first since the remake *just* came out and I need the practice) And a side note related to PPSSPP, in theory it can crossplay with other versions of the emulator and even real hardware (with homebrew). That said I tried it years ago with my PC and PSP and I never could get anywhere, even *with* an old enough router to do it sitting around.
Great video! I tried the shortcuts app to open the Ppsspp game and although it did work, it took like 10 minutes and heated the phone up. I’m running iOS 18 beta, do you think this is the problem? How long should it take to open a game in Ppsspp from the home screen? Hoping when the actual iOS 18 comes out it will fix my issue

No, it was only because they got stiff armed by the EU that they did it. They didn’t want to. Emulators used to be allowed but then Apple banned them
