Great video! U be killing then! 😎👊🎣.. question.. can you just rip strip the rod like a jerk bait vs using hand to rip the leadcore? Sometimes when I troll Rapalas for striper and trout I will pump or rip the rod to change action and it draws strikes. Just curious for a guy like me who has bad carpal tunnel, can I use this technique by ripping rod? Or is this specific to ripping the line?
Thank you! No that would probably not be ideal. it is definitely specific to stripping the line. But you can try with the rod too. Let me know how that goes if you try that!
On my reel, I'm able to fit 14 colors or 140 yards. If you need leadcore I sell the exact same leadcore I use on my website, also linked in the description at a good price! Thanks for watching.
I like it. Probably the best side and down imaging out of the big 3 brands. But they're all good just preference at the end of the day. And yea its a 7" screen.
@@SquirtProductions69 Yes but for side imaging you want the biggest you can afford. Get the biggest screen you can afford. I have a 12 and a 9 as well thats being put on my new boat.
Thank You Non! No i'm trolling leadcore line to leader on a fly to get my fly down to the depth i need it to be at. Leadcore looks like braid but its a thin weighted lead piece in the form of line and has braid wrapped around it.
@@JoeShowFishing in that case, I'm better off using buck tail jigs. In the meantime I'll work on getting a setup similar to yours! Thanks for all the info!
Thank you Joe for sharing again. Never miss any of your videos. Always enjoy them. When those fish are in 35 to 40 ft deep, then you release about 8 colors , 5 ft per color. How about the boat speed? Thank you Joe!
Thank you bro. I know the depth by looking at my fish finder. My fish finder are my eyes underwater and tells me the depth, if there are fish there, water temp, speed, and location on the lake! I've learned to trust my fish finders.
You are dialed in! Obviously nailing nice stripers on a regular basis. Silverwood Lake was like this once upon a time. But everyone filled up their ice chests, their bait wells and freezers until . . . one day the same guys were saying, "Wonder where they are? The big fish aren't here anymore. This lake used to hold 30 and 40 lb fish" . . . think bout it. If you want to catch these terrific game fish the size you're catching them in 5 years., put some of this brood stock back. I hope you are. Not just the juveniles, but those bigger fish are only BIG because they are OLD. Just sayin . . .
Whoa, way to go Joe! I was out there in a rental boat with my boys...maiden voyage for our portable Garmin and trolling setup, but couldn't get into any stripers. Luckily, got into a few largemouth and landed one on the ski arm, so my boys still want to go out again 😉. I swear that we were marking fish in a couple spots, but couldn't get those marks to bite lol. Anyways, you just gave me some extra motivation to try again soon. Tight lines!
Thank you Jay! Yea don't worry its the same deal for me. A lot of the schools I mark don't bite. Sometimes it takes a couple of trolls paths to get them to bite or sometimes its just not the right time. Good luck out there
@@JoeShowFishing for sure, we got to put some time in. Have you tried larger saltwater flies to see if it attracts the larger class fish? Or do you think the 1/0 size is better matching those small baitfish out there? That was pretty funny how you left that one smaller striper to breakdance off your boat. Happy days for him🕺
@@jaymoon613 I haven't really tried bigger ones because i'm trying to match the hatch with the shad and minnows so yea I always go 1/0 or 2/0 maybe even 3/0. But I do think the larger flies imitating rainbows can have a better chance at landing some trophies. Hah yea he kept flopping around so decided to see where his flops would take him.
Sea bass stripe bass “ Lapu-Lapu”
Fun time 1 Try Otay or San Vincente
What is the reason doing fingers twitching and not rod twitching for example?
It applies a jerkbait like action. Doing it with the rod won't be as quick and erratic as stripping it on the line. Thanks for watching!

Joe, How many yards of lead core line are you attaching to the braided backing? 100 yds?, 200 yds? Thanks

Dam I wish fishing was this good for me when I go there lol sick video bro!😁💯
These are just the highlights. I got a lot of lowlights too haha. Thanks for watching bro.
bro ive been fishing there for like 3 weeks now, not even a bite
How do you like the hummingbird fish finder? and its that a 7" screen?

@@JoeShowFishing are you able to see well when you split the screen? I am thinking of getting a 10 but they are high in price.

WOW! always getting the limits!! crazy!
what speed are you trolling?
2mph
Grate video Bro , on the Clouser Minnow what size of hooks you use?
generally ill use a 2/0. thanks for watching bro
@@JoeShowFishing thanks Bro
Nice bro!
I was there last Thursday and the striper were boiling behind the bouy line like crazy! I managed to land one tho!
Thank you! And nice job! Yea they been boiling a lot past the buoy line this year making it very tough to target them on top.
how deep did you find them?
I think i found them in 35 feet of water for the most part on this day. But its always different everytime I go out.
Joe Show, The Boss!
Nice Joe! So you're just using braid line and not fly line?

@@JoeShowFishing Ahhhh never heard of leadcore lines until now LOL. You think i could get lucky with braid?
Its all good i didn't know about it either till earlier this year. Braid wouldn't get your bait down there unless you attach a heavy weight to it.

I always keep my boat speed around 2-2.3mph that way I know my leadcore drops 5ft per color. Thanks for always watching Raymond!
