Thanks for this! My nails peel especially during/after winter, and it is the number one cause of my GelPolish manicures flaking off. Fortify and Repair have helped a bit. I was too scared to actually file the peeling bits off, but now I will carefully try.
I found that using 1 or 2 coats of Gel extend was very helpful before the polish. The key is proper nail prep for sure. This way your can grow out and eventually file away the length with the damaged growth. I 'm 6 months off of salon nails and two months using Gel Moment products. My nails are recovering really well now. Your videos are so helpful. Thank you.
Very good and helpful. I have a problem when it comes to removing my gel polish and that'a why my nails have peeling parts.. Any tips for removing gel polish with manual file please?
Which product do you use for removal? You likely have very dry nails too so I would recommend the remover pads and allow to soak for the full 10 minutes before you begin removing. I have a few other videos on removal. Check out my playlists and you’ll see them there.
My nails are sooo soft and peeling that I’m beyond help recommended here! 🤣 too thin to use gel. Plus I fast forwarded through the four minutes of nail filing to remove the peeling edge. I use a nail buffer to file the edge-that’s how thin and peeling my nails are. I’d change the name of the video maybe to indicate that it’s for gel or whatever that product is you’re recommending. Gee I’m gel-ous of those gal’s nails! 🤭
I would recommend speaking with a doctor. Our nails are often the first sign that something else might be wrong. With thin nails it could be a vitamin deficiency or a sign of something else. I’d just recommend bringing it up with your doctor.
Wow 😮now this was really interesting and helpful! I somehow never came to the idea to file off the damaged part and kept just ripping it off instead 🫣😅 Thank you 💐
Wow this was so informational! Thank you for the time and effort to put this together!!
You are very welcome! It’s a problem many deal with for various reasons so it’s definitely good to know how to heal it.
Great tutorial! I’ve been using GelMoment since November of 2015 but sometimes still have this issue because my nails have always been that way.

I would use a clear nail polish. Sorry, I hate red and red lipstick.
Looks old doesn't it (red nails and lips)? Not modern.
Has your nail stopped peeling?
Yes I have grown out the peeling ☺️
