s90v is not impossible to sharpen, or at least that is the case with the blades I make. it's always a good idea to practice on cheaper blades to learn first.

Am I the only one that gets your trying to prove that a bad technique and bad stone can still make a breadknifed edge hair-popping sharp, with a super steel no less? It's not a hard concept to get or at least I didn't think so. Good video.

Isn't that a wetstone? Use it with water for better results.

It's an oil stone. You would use oil with it but can use water or use it dry like he does. Since it's a verified SiC stone you can use it however you want to. Japanese water stones need water but that's because their binder is softer and they're designed to be used with water.

Just buy a lansky knife sharpening kit. You will get better results and faster.

A Lansky set is awesome, you won't however be able to remove chips and a damaged edge as fast, due to a lansky not beingable to handle the pressure im applying on this stone. Maybe you missed the part with the file.
