My Brother Another Awesome Video!!! Loved it...My Brother in law has a flex solar panel, and the only problem was that with the wind on the Bimini top ripped along the edge of the solar panel, suggestion put a piece of vinyl along the edge of the panel to reinforce it. It can be fastened with fabric glue. The best is sewn. But at least protect it from ripping. Great information! Blessings! Peace from the Keys!
My brother thank you so much for commenting. Youre 100% right because it happened already. Aliey is going to sew together a new Bimini top fabric with an insert to hold the panel down and with a heavier fabric. That’s a great idea! Thank you Jorge! 🤙

Why did you not use a standard boat battery on off switch?
I put a on off switch on my trolling motor.
Plugging and unplugging a trolling motor every trip like most people do never made sense to me.
I had the same red wolf breaker on my 24 volt trolling motor except it was a 60 amp.
Started having issues with it tripping.
Replaced it with a blue ocean and have yet to have any issues since the replacement.
Thanks buddy! You know, once I started to mess with the switch, I said to myself the same thing. I guess it’s what happens when you close your mind and just go by the book. It’s a great switch for your home but for a boat that’s moving and banging, you’re totally right. Boat on off switch is the way. I’ll switch it for sure. It's a great setup, but now you can't put the bimini down for towing.
Well we never put it down tbh. We’re 6 miles from the ramp so we don’t pass 35-40 when towing. If we needed to we just disconnect the panel. 🤙
I would get a real 100 watt aluminum frame panel instead of that toy stuff. They are as low as $48 now. The inverter is not necessary if you use 12 volt appliances.
Appliances we’re using aren’t 12v. The flexible panel was much easier than setting up a framed one. Maybe when we get a hard top that would make more sense 🤙

I have a question...
I have a 300w solar panel and a 12v 50ah battery and for some reason it doesn't want to charge at more than a 100w.
Is that normal?
Hey mark! That doesn’t sound normal at all. Can you try to charge the battery with a battery charger and see if it gets to 100%? That way, you can determine if it’s a solar panel issue or a battery issue! 🤙
