I've seen the "why is Wyoming so underpopulated?" question come up on Quora a few times. It is a good question, especially when you consider Colorado and Utah have similar climates. Well, according to some people on Quora, Wyoming is often colder and windier than Colorado, plus there's not as much groundwater, or something like that.

@@iammrbeat You were right. I don't think it's even close. Political movements in 2020 have only cemented how conservative Wyoming is, for any Democrats who have been popular in Wyoming were/are center-right or at least center and would be considered right-wing by today's standards. In sum, Wyoming is always in contention for most conservative state in the union (Idaho has the edge). As a Colorado native I can say you're also correct with your take on Colorado. It is no longer purple, but blue. Colorado really is a foil now to Wyoming and they are growing more opposite every year, it seems. This is not good for Colorado, regrettably. Of course this is one man's opinion, and Colorado has much to love.

YES!!! Thank you so much for this long awaited and wonderfully comprehensive video of our region Mr. Beat! Great fun facts too that I didn’t even know! (I.e. the elevators) One little thing I should mention in terms of state rivalries in the past is a feud over the burial site of Buffalo Bill. Although he founded the town of Cody Wyoming, we somehow ended up getting his burial sight just a 1/2 hour west of Denver. One minor nitpick though; No mention of either of our ski resorts.
Colorado and Washington passed their weed law at the same time, but Washington opened it legally two week before Colorado. Washington was not as ready as Colorado though and had problems for about two years (not enough dispensaries, not enough weed legally grown for the amount being consumed), Colorado was prepared much quicker.
Colorado and Wyoming have their own traits. I've lived in both. Whether or not one is better than the other is totally dependant on your outlook and what you want. Colorado is rapidly becoming California. It's a gorgeous locale that is becoming highly unaffordable for most folks, and also very crowded in what used to be quiet, well maintained, and friendly towns. You used to be able to reach denver from loveland in about 40 minutes. Now it's about an hour and a half. Small mountain towns used to be nice places to explore and spend a few days, now the geese wont even put their nests there anymore because of the bombardment of noisy, dirty, and inconsiderate tourists. Wyoming is the opposite, unless you want to live in Sheridan, which is the Wyoming equivalent of Colorado's Aspen. Wyoming is much more affordable, but it's much more dull. Most of it is flat grassland, fit for cattle and little else. People are nice though. So, hopefully, people finish the conquest of colorado before they start on consuming Wyoming.
You think republicans don’t have draconian rules? Putting someone in a cage for having weed is not draconian? The government sucks period, whether it’s dems or republicans. They are both awful.

Based on your video I think I'd enjoy living in Wyoming more, but both states sound nice. They both have great flags too! Pennsylvania has a super boring flag. I've always found interesting that the "Wyoming Valley" region of Pennsylvania has as many people as the entire state of Wyoming and it's not even one of our larger metro areas.
Colorado is such a great state, especially if you prefer living with more people. I hate living in the middle of nowhere because there’s nothing to do and Wyoming is WAY too windy! 😂 I moved here from Florida in 2011 and I haven’t regretted it since. This also means people need to stop moving here because it’s getting too crowded for comfort
If we completely Anglicize the name of the Colorado River, and since we have ones in the North and the South, that river would be called the "Red River of the West".

Colorado is an amazing State! The majestic mountains you never get tired to see them! There is a lot of activities to do! Marijuana is legal, however I believe it's still not federally passed? The people are amazing, kind and respectful!

More like Denver v Austin. Salt Lake City is the opposite of Denver.
@@jakesamuelson1352 Salt Lake City is secularizing recently, but you are right in that Austin or Seattle are more similar to Denver.

Salt Lake City: has a prettier backdrop with the Wasatch Mts. up close so it offers quicker and easier access to hiking trails and ski resorts. Traffic is not nearly as bad as Denver.
Denver: beats SLC in every other way that I can think of.

In Oklahoma we pronounce it the other way. And obviously Arkansas does.

This was uploaded on my birthday!!!! Another great video; I love these state comparison videos! Here's an interesting fact not mentioned in the video: more people live in Denver than the entire state of Wyoming. (And that's just Denver proper, no suburbs included.)

I have been to both many times and Wyoming is where I would like to be. Colorado has become the next California with draconian rules by Democrats.
546 cowboy especially now with polis as governor
You think republicans don’t have draconian rules? Putting someone in a cage for having weed is not draconian? The government sucks period, whether it’s dems or republicans. They are both awful.
