Keep going Aubrey, it's good information. I felt better when you mention " in this point of our career." I felt I'm allowed to make mistakes then, since I'm new. But can't you just buy a seat cover? Glue it if the guest keep on removing it? The Impala I bought has a lot of 1 mm to 3 mm paint holes (?) I'm now better in touching up. There's 1 by 2 inches peelings though, in the front fender. I'll paint it new if I can't find a bumper in the junkyard. I believe there's always a solution for every problem, and the best part is that your now smarter in buying your next car.
I don't love seat covers, but that is 100% just my opinion and I know other hosts who swear by them. If I see a seat cover my first thought is "What is wrong with the seat" I also think that seat covers are just uncomfortable. But, you can absolutely go with seat covers and it will solve your problem!
A $57/day rental was charged $112 for the day? As a host I only received an invoice for $42.75, but as the guest I was charged a sales tax and an additional "trip fee" of like almost 45.00? Aubrey, does your market charge a "trip fee" and if so what is it for and why do I not see it or benefit from it as the host!?!
I bought couple of weeks ago 2012 c250 with 114k miles for 7999$ Purposely for Turo ( I live in California) Mine had torn driver seat, pulled complete seat from junkyard for 150$ in perfect condition and just swapped the bottom part. Torn seat is the best tool when negotiating the price, usually is easy fix. Fading paint not that much because once it starts fading on one panel it means soon all the rest will be in the same condition. Good video though
This is for sure most common comment I am getting on this video, I guess I am missing out on good cars because I am overlooking the torn seat. Thank you for the advice, I will look into this!
Hi Aubrey! Thanks for yours' and HP's great videos! I'm curious about your approach when you learn a guest has smoked in the vehicle. What do you do when you don't have physical evidence but there are clearly smells left over? How do you prep the car for the next guest?
We will ozone it and try to get the smell out, sometimes when this happens we have to message the guest who is upcoming and tell them that the car smells and if they want to cancel they can -- this doesn't happen often, but if there is a really bad smell we will go this route. But if there is no ash, typically you can't charge unfortunately
Me after spending over $5k on the Ford Fiesta I bought six months ago: NOW you tell me :’) Fiesta’s are garbage and you can’t get the parts don’t do it lol
I always love your information and I hope you could do a video on Turo when people lives in NYC could they join Turo platform in New Jersey since that's the closest state?
Hi there would it even be worth buying a 2012 Ford Fusion with 95k miles cosmetic is great inside and out, but is it worth it cause you can only use it for 2 years on turo?
Hi Aubrey I have seen a lot of your videos lately, I don't have a car currently, and I am living in NYC, can I succeed on turo with a 4k-5k car planning to buy a Ford Escape or a Yaris after watching your videos. Appreciate your comment, if you think I can make it possible I can enroll in your class.
Thank you for all your videos. I'm learning something new everyday.
I’ve had sections of leather upholstery replaced in my cars very inexpensively
I've never had luck with it myself, but maybe this is something I should start looking more into! Thanks for the comment!
Ford covers transmission problems on the ford focus up to 100k miles
good job

Hi Aubrey, how about Nissans Sentra and Versa, would you buy those, love the content, keep it up, I always give your content a thumbs-up
They have CVT transmissions and for that reason I avoid them, they are very unreliable
Good black seat covers on Amazon cost $50 and the guests love them.
True! I feel conflicted about seat covers lol
@@AubreyJanik what's the con? Besides paying the $50

They can sometimes be good! But there is a risk for sure...hopefully yours works out well :)

Yes

How do you go about checking if title is in fact clean? Which website do you use?
Carfax
How about a Chevy Spark or a Fiat? I’m in Chicago.
Aubrey does turo accept rebuilt tittle, I know for A facts they don't do salvage tittle.
No

Love it! I started with 4k-5k cars, I don't see why you can't do the same.
Do the fusions have transmission problems?
Ford Fusion and Ford Fiestas have T problems.
They are a hit or miss for sure
Most Houston, TX cars are flood cars.
You have to be SUPER careful with Houston cars for sure
