Theres no way he will see his family again. He knew that when we left. Silly guy, no offense but raise the following two points: # It is pretty easy to leave China so long you have destination country entrance's permission, while destination country normally requires visa application, for instance, if the guy wants to go to the US, it is US government's task to issue the visa, not China government. This guy is making a ridiculous decision. He could have spent the same amount of effort to get to the States without risking his family expectations. He also would have legal issues to run any business in the US. On top of that, he could easily get into illegally business activities to get his money. I have dozens of friends who get to the States legally. They work in high tech industries. But due to the rampaging of the COVID and the ridiculous policy from the weak government, they decide to go back China. I think US needs to wake up from its hypocrisy and do some proper governing to put the society back on track. The gun crimes, drug issues, and illegal immigrants are tearing US apart. A lot of drug lords love freedom and they certainly have the entrepreneurial spirit. Jokes aside, Immigration should be based mostly, if not all, on meritocracy. Let the people with the scientific and cultural talents in, this is why America has been great while the average IQ of the American population is so low. Meanwhile, keep those low-skilled people out for longer stay but they can do low-skill and hard labor works on temp visas. As long as the pay in America is higher than their home countries, u will still find plenty people willing to do the works on temp visas.

my brother is in shanghai, china for school. but i dare say that he's not living freely, he does not dare to leave the campus if he does he has to come back with a PCR test, and he has to be cautious of anywhere he goes, if there is a case found at a place he visit, he might get stucked there for testing or quarantine. it's not easy living like this, living in fear that you could be eventually confined somewhere if you go out. i rather have covid than have my freedom suppressed like this, a colleague of mine who recently had covid, she literally recovered 5 days later without a single capsule of medicine. she's fully vax and boosted twice.

These Chinese should know, that it is actually much easier and faster, to get into the USA, from Canada.
Canada has an enormous Chinese community in its major cities, many of them Hong Kongers, Taiwanese, and Mainlanders who would be more than eager to help, and form a city like Vancouver, it is literally less than an half an hour's drive to get from a major international airport to the US border.

# It is pretty easy to leave China so long you have destination country entrance's permission, while destination country normally requires visa application, for instance, if the guy wants to go to the US, it is US government's task to issue the visa, not China government. Obviously the guy initially did not get the visa from US government, however there are some other ways to enter into the US, one is to fabricate the story and blame that China is oppressing him, this is what this guy is doing, it will be a good point for the US government to blame China government, doesn't matter whether the story is true or not.
# The guy said that he wants to earn the big money in US, basically speaking, if a person can not get even average Chinese people's income in China, he does not have the capability to earn the big money in the US as well, unless he does some kinds of betrayed things to his motherland that some China-hater organizations in US will fund him.
I think China government does not care much about it but let it be tackled by certain law, just like so many drug addicts in New York street breaking convenient shop and robing the goods, the law will handle it rather than US government everyday making press conference on it.
By the way, even though China is taking 'Zero COVID policy"(saved a lot of elder Chinese people), there are still many people including those from WEST countries want to come to China, the application for entrance into China is strict, sometimes be in queue for a period before it is approved. China is nowadays more promising than the U.S in terms of the general public's living., the inflation rate is low (2.x%) compared with that in the U.S. which is quite high (about 8.x%, maybe more), this Chinese guy come to the U.S. will soon face the high price of the goods(the ironic point is that most of goods in U.S. still come from China).
As for economy in China, it is boosting. Take EV(Electronic vehicle) for example, the American guy Elon Musk especially established Tesla mega-factory in Shanghai, he has broad view we need to admit, with almost 100% of China's supply chain in EV industry, yield the biggest portion of EV production in Tesla and sell them all over the world. So far The Tesla already accumulated production of more than 1,000,000 Electronic vehicles solely from China factory, we can see that there is no Today's American brand-Tesla if there is no China's supply chain. However in the EV industry in China, Tesla is not the No.1, there are a lot of China domestic brands such as BYD, NIO, Li, XPeng ..., some of them have already exceeded Tesla, such as BYD, it has already occupied 45% margin of the world's electronic bus market, someday the American guy or Chinese guy coming to America will frequently see Electronic vehicles with China brands running on American streets.
This guy is making a ridiculous decision. He could have spent the same amount of effort to get to the States without risking his family expectations. He also would have legal issues to run any business in the US. On top of that, he could easily get into illegally business activities to get his money. I don’t see any point why the US is taking him in. Without any proof of character, he can just get into the USA like that turning it into the trash can of the world.
I have dozens of friends who get to the States legally. They work in high tech industries. But due to the rampaging of the COVID and the ridiculous policy from the weak government, they decide to go back China.
I think US needs to wake up from its hypocrisy and do some proper governing to put the society back on track. The gun crimes, drug issues, and illegal immigrants are tearing US apart. On top of that, US is bullying other countries to only make the country further insecure. I don’t see how such a country can represent humanity, as the US proudly claims itself to be. We can do better than that.
Everyone has the right to choose the life they want, but feel he did not think this through before he makes decision. With his ability, what he can do in US, and how much he can make each year or be left for his families Vs. he cannot see his families for years probably. Pros Vs. cons. Is it really worthy？

A lot of drug lords love freedom and they certainly have the entrepreneurial spirit. Jokes aside, Immigration should be based mostly, if not all, on meritocracy. Let the people with the scientific and cultural talents in, this is why America has been great while the average IQ of the American population is so low. Meanwhile, keep those low-skilled people out for longer stay but they can do low-skill and hard labor works on temp visas. As long as the pay in America is higher than their home countries, u will still find plenty people willing to do the works on temp visas.

my brother is in shanghai, china for school. but i dare say that he's not living freely, he does not dare to leave the campus if he does he has to come back with a PCR test, and he has to be cautious of anywhere he goes, if there is a case found at a place he visit, he might get stucked there for testing or quarantine. it's not easy living like this, living in fear that you could be eventually confined somewhere if you go out. i rather have covid than have my freedom suppressed like this, a colleague of mine who recently had covid, she literally recovered 5 days later without a single capsule of medicine. she's fully vax and boosted twice.

American here; I lived in China for 6 years. I left as soon as Covid broke out. I loved it there. I’m sure a lot has changed since 2020. But people watching this video should know that this is propaganda. A perfect nation doesn’t exist but so much of my life was better in China than here in the US. China has a lot to learn from US but the US also has a lot to learn from China.
