- Every Malayali would have dreamt of celebrating Onam with their loved ones along with creating Pookkalam in their homes. Being known as the celebration of spring, laying the flower rangoli or Pookkalam which comprises a variety of special flowers is one of the many rituals held during the festival. അത്തം മുതൽ 10 ദിവസം ചാണകം മെഴുകിയ തറയിൽ കുളി കഴിഞ്ഞ് ദേഹശുദ്ധി വരുത്തി പൂവിട്ടാണ് ഹിന്ദുക്കൾ ഓണം ആചരിക്കുന്നത്...ഓരോ ദിവസം ഇടുന്ന പൂവിനും പൂവിന്റെ നിറത്തിനു പോലും പ്രത്യേകത ഉണ്ട്.. ഓരോ ദിവസം കഴിയുന്തോറും പൂവിന്റെ വട്ടം കൂടിക്കൂടി വരും.തൃക്കാക്കരയപ്പനെ ചാണകം കുഴച്ചു ഉണ്ടാക്കി പൂക്കളത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ വെക്കും... ആദ്യദിവസം തുമ്പപ്പൂ മാത്രമേ ഇടുകയുള്ളൂ... തൃക്കാക്കരയപ്പനു ഏറെ ഇഷ്ടമുള്ള പൂവാണ് തുമ്പ... തിരുവോണത്തിന്റെ തലേന്ന് തൃക്കാക്കരയപ്പനെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി അ രിമാവ് കലക്കി ഒഴിച്ച്,തുമ്പ കൊണ്ട് പൂവട ഉണ്ടാക്കി തുമ്പചെടികൾ വെച്ച് വിളക്ക് വെക്കും... നാലാം ഓണം കഴിഞ്ഞെ അത് മാറ്റുകയുള്ളൂ... പൂവിടുന്ന ഈ ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ വീട്ടിൽ മത്സ്യമാംസാദികൾ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കും... തൃക്കാക്കര അമ്പലത്തിൽ ഇതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട തിരുവോണദിവസം ഉത്സവം തന്നെയുണ്ട്..കാലദേശം അനുസരിച്ച് ചെറിയ വ്യത്യാസങ്ങൾ ആചാരങ്ങളിൽ കാണാം.... ഹൈന്ദവ ആചാരങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം തന്നെ അതാതു നാടുകളിലെ സംസ്കാരവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കിടക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ചെറിയ വ്യത്യാസങ്ങൾ കാണാം... .തൃക്കാക്കരയപ്പനും മഹാബലിയും ആരാധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.. ഉത്തരേന്ത്യയിൽ വാമനജയന്തി ആയിട്ടാണ് ആഘോഷം.ഓണം ഹൈന്ദവാചാരങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കിടക്കുന്ന ആഘോഷം തന്നെയാണ്. പക്ഷേ അതിന്റെ ആഘോഷ ഭംഗി ആചാരങ്ങൾക്കും അപ്പുറം ഏത് വിഭാഗത്തെയും ആകർഷിക്കുന്ന ഒന്നാണ് ഈ ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ സെമിറ്റിക് മതങ്ങൾ വരുന്നതിനു മുമ്പേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു....അന്ന് അത് നാടിന്റെ ആഘോഷമായിരുന്നു ഇന്നും അങ്ങനെതന്നെ പറയുന്നു... മറ്റു മതക്കാർ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന് കരുതി അത് ഹൈന്ദവ മതത്തിന്റെ ആഘോഷം ആവാതിരിക്കുന്നില്ല..അതുകൊണ്ട് ആ നാടിന്റെ ആഘോഷം എന്ന രീതിയിൽ മറ്റു മതക്കാരും അതിൽ പങ്ക് കൊള്ളുന്നു.... എല്ലാവരും മതേതരമായി ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നു അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ഉണ്ടാവട്ടെ...അല്ലാതെ ഒത്തിരി മതേതരം ആക്കി ഒരു മത സമൂഹം തലമുറകളായി ആചരിച്ചും ആഘോഷിച്ചും വരുന്ന ചടങ്ങുകൾ ആ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ അല്ല എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ശരിയല്ല.വെറും കാർഷികോത്സവം മാത്രമാണെങ്കിൽ ഇത് വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ നാളായ ചിങ്ങമാസത്തിലെ തിരുവോണനാളിൽ തന്നെ ആചരിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യം ഇല്ല... എങ്ങനെ നോക്കിയാലും ഓരോ ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ ഓരോ മതത്തിൽ നിന്നും ഉൽഭവിച്ചതാണെന്ന് അറിയാൻ കഴിയും .. ഏത് ആഘോഷവും അതിന്റെ തനിമയോടെ തന്നെ നിന്നാൽ മാത്രമേ ആ പവിത്രത നിലനിൽക്കൂ.. അല്ലാതെ സെറ്റ് സാരിയുടുത്ത് ടൈലിന്റെ മുകളിൽ പൂവിട്ട് ഫോട്ടോയെടുത്ത് ഇൻസ്റ്റയിൽ അപ്ഡേറ്റ് ചെയ്യുന്നതല്ല യഥാർത്ഥ ഓണം... ഇപ്പോൾ എല്ലാവർക്കും മറ്റുള്ളവരെ കാണിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടി ഉള്ള കാട്ടിക്കൂട്ടലുകൾ ആയിട്ടാണ് തോന്നുന്നത്...
