- Onam is synonymous with celebration. It marks the end of a month-long rainy season and denotes the beginning of the harvest season. This festival season is the start of immense fun and revelry across the state. Celebrated during the Malayalam month of Chingam, Onam is regarded as the State festival Kerala. It is the most vibrant and colorful festival of the region, which spans over a period of 10 days and is loaded with numerous events filled with fun and frolic.
