    Yep. I use their Mighty Plug, which is everthing that amp does, but in a headphone amp. The whole thing is the size of that wireless transmitter. Plug in headphones, and go. Great sounds. Super convenient to work on songs. I think it also functions as a USB interface, if desired. Technology is amazing

    I can't believe I actually got something before Rob! I've had one of these for about 6 months and it gets more use than my beloved Fly3 amps. I originally got the Mighty Plug when I heard about the Fender Mustang Micro and I googled and found the plug did more. It was a gateway drug to the Mighty Air.

    Rob, so for all intents it is a shrunken Spark Amp. It seems like so many amplification devices are going to app controlled features that will allow a person endless access to sound shaping. What is crazy is that they are making them in light weight portable units that do not sound small or thin.if the spark were dual power capable it would be perfect. I have not played through the Nux or seen any indepth reviews of its app or cloud based effects catalog. It would be cool if you could do a shootout between the Nux and the Spark for ease of app navigation, quality of sound, available effects and amp modeling, and the accuracy of replication.

    • @milancv
      @milancv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@robertclarkguitar it uses 4 standard AA batteries, so it shouldn't be a problem in the long run. I use the ones from Amazon basic and they're ok. Although most of the time I have it plugged in and the batteries out, so can't really judge longevity or battery consumption.

    I remember a few years ago when people were saying modelling amps were crap and no one should use one. That never stopped me. I used to use a Behringer V-Amp Pro, and now I moved on to a POD HD500X. And if my budget would allow it I would like to move to a POD Helix. Modelling amps is where the future is. 10 years ago they were decent. These days they are great. And they don't bother the neighbours.

    Since there is no USB out to record to a computer interface or DAW can the line out for headphones work with an adapter? If you have headphones in does it mute the amp or is there volume control for both the amp and headphone out to balance for recording?
    I don't mind recording with microphones on the amp and that is not my main purpose for this amp but I do record on the go with my Ipad and a small interface for my portable setup which is what this would be.
    Can I use other modeling apps like Bias FX and the riff that i got from Positive Grid for my spark with this?

It has a built in speaker that sounds better than most practice amps, has way more features and options, and is still relatively portable. And if you want a battery powered one, then the Katana Mini is solid too.
