    I lost friendships because people knew not to gossip with me. I would shut down and walk away. I would handle it better today but I hated gossip because I knew the minute I walked away I would be their next piece of gossip. Great tips for marriage, as well!! Always great content!!

    Great tips! I particularly relate to the "Avoid gossip" - this is really the worst, When I was younger and not very experienced I didn't know how much gossip could hurt relationships, projects and reputation, had to learn it the hard way.
    On a different aspect - listen when confronted - I recently had a situation with a couple of coworkers who obviously had a conflict between them, one of them made a huge scene in front of lot of other coworkers. I felt one of them was unfair but couldn't speak up and later felt really bad. But at the moment I wasn't sure how to react- should I take side or not? When it is happening in front of many people - are they somehow involved? It is really uncomfortable for sure.

      Sometime speaking up in a situation like that could possibly only make things worse, however being there to comfort the colleague who has been hurt would be appreciated I’m sure.
      Thanks so much for watching, cheers!

    Hello, great video! How do you deal with conflict with someone who is unreasonable and hostile?

    • @AdrianaGirdler
      @AdrianaGirdler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. Unfortunately it’s hard to deal with someone of this nature. Situations such as these may require the intervention of the HR department. Glad to hear you enjoyed this video and hope it was helpful. Wishing you all the best. Cheers!

    Question or 2. If a male and female co-worker hug while clocking in, and during break time, could that create conflict? What if one of them were dating?

    • @AdrianaGirdler
      @AdrianaGirdler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for watching and for your question. The respectful thing to do would be to leave hugs and other public displays of affection for after work hours. Hope this helps. Cheers!

    Well yeah but you are canadian, they are nice so... hahaha of course I'm joking although most of you are truly nice! I love your vibe and the fact you didn't edit out the blooper at the introduction haha. I try to avoid conflict at all cost but some people want them at all cost hahaha I usually boil it down to facts and procedure and remove the emotions out of it as much as I can till someone crosses the line. Thankfully in my 8 year career I have only had misunderstandings that have been solved in 3 or 4 emails tops.

    • @AdrianaGirdler
      @AdrianaGirdler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha! Yes we Canadians are know for our nice disposition lol! Glad to here in your 8 years you have had little conflict to deal with. Like how you managed the times that you did. Thanks so much for watching, cheers!
