I think the bangs look great also! I wouldn’t bother with bronzer on the forehead if I wore bangs 🤷♀️😊 sometimes I don’t bother with it anyways at all lol
I'm glad I discovered your channel, I am also a Casper the ghost as well and don't wear foundation anymore because of mature skin and everything just sinks in. 54 and trying my best. If anyone has good recommendations I would appreciate it.
OMG that physician formula liner is the best. I have old wrinkly eye lids and it went on smooth and the liner is so fine, I can actually do a cateye again.
We are usually the same shade and I just bought light medium and I'm enjoying it. I went a shader darker than I usually get. I don't really think it's "worth" $21! Loving the hair, btw.❤
I love it and I think it feels fabulous on my 49 year old skin! I use a brush and it’s beautiful. I have lots of sun damage and texture. ❤ I’m a true light/medium neutral and the shade 30 is a little too light for me. So if you’re similar, you may want to go up a shade. However, a little concealer and bronzer can fix. LOVE YOUR HAIR!!! So cute!
Shelly, Shelly. You’ve had me laughing so much. I needed that. Your rocking bangs!!! Everyone is going to bangs and I’ve worn bangs all my life until 2 yrs ago. Always having to trim them etc. I’m loving no bangs at 62. Lol. Nope, I for sure won’t be purchasing whatever that is. Lol. You’ve got such a fun chipper happy personality. Always making me giggle. Thank you sweetie. When are you gonna do a full face / eyes for us???? I’ll be waiting
Yeah I love having bangs but what usually makes me grow them out is getting annoyed at the upkeep! I am overdue for a full face vid - added to my list!!
Thanks for reviewing this product Shelly. I agree with the B! As for cherry scents from my youth, my mom was a big fan of the Jergen's cherry-almond scented lotion. It instantly transports me back in time every time I catch a whiff!
Great video! I have had some sort of bangs my entire life. Today I got baby bangs and my bob shortened up. A lot of times I barely put foundation on my forehead. Sometimes I bronze, when I do I use the powder type and blend up lightly towards my temples. I usually keep products light under the bangs, especially in the Florida summer. Love your hair! Looks so chic!
Love your videos so much!!! You have to blend the product, with a brush, on the back of your hand and the apply to the face. At least that’s how my Chanel Complexion Touch works the best for me.
It really does look nice on you. Looked spectacular outside. I wouldn't be able to get over the texture beads in it though. Thanks for doing such a great review on the product. I'm a rouge member but they didn't send me an email this year either. Just found out when I placed my first order this month.
I’ve been waiting for you to cover this skin tint! We’re almost the same skin tone and I generally like the same type of products as you do, so have been wanting to hear your thoughts on this one. I’ve never really been able to wear the CG base products as they oxidize or are too orange for me.
That haircut is gorgeous!! I love it so much! I’m so glad you reviewed this. I’ve been back and forth about it. Not sure it’s enough coverage for me. I do have to go track down one of those Aldi palettes though! Very pretty eye look! 😊
You looked absolutely radiant in the daylight check-in!! So stunning. I'm loving the fringe by the way, it's very youthful.. Hmmm now I'm resisting getting a fringe haha..
LOL I will not encourage bangs only because I know SO many people who are devastated when they get them! I am never devastated because I do so much wacky stuff to my hair.... I like having bangs but what usually drives me away is I get annoyed with the upkeep.
I wear light-medium or medium coverage foundations (No7 Lift & Luminate, Dior Backstage, etc) and this Covergirl was a huge NO for me. It was like putting on a clear serum even after rubbing my fingers together first. I think I'll try it one more time using a brush on the back of my hand like another viewer suggested. I don't always HAVE to have light or medium coverage, but this had almost zero pigment 😢 Wish I'd waited for your review!
There is a learning curve with this product. I rub it together between my finger tips first (pressing decently hard) and then use my hands to apply and concentrate on one area of the face at a time, rubbing vigorous circles basically. It’s bizarre but the pigment does suddenly start forming. I was shocked how much coverage it actually gave considering it starts out so watery. I mean it’s still like a light medium. To me the key is concentrating one small area of the face at a time and rubbing in circles. I don’t think a brush works well because the brush soaks up the water and it doesn’t disperse very well. I think it’s super pretty when first applied and beautiful on bare skin but can be finicky over certain sunscreens and skin care so for that reason not sure if I’ll repurchase.
I would definitely mix and warm the product into my fingers before applying to my face. I think this may also blur the polka-dot pore issue. I loved the end finish. Whilst it moved around a little, keep in mind there was no priming or powder/setting spray used on this trial. I think this may also help with longevity. I can't wait to get my hands on this (when we get it in Australia) as I like light coverage serum texture tints. Love your bangs and that eyeshadow look was gorgeous on you. Love from down under xxx
I just received this! I got it off Amazon on Prime Day, it was only $9! Cant wait to see what its like. Im hoping its a ni e skin tint for days where i dont want a full foundation
I actually really like this one, it evens everything out without looking like makeup. I never noticed the sensory issues, probably because I use a brush with this one--maybe a good thing! Thanks for a great video and review, Shelly, as always it's such a pleasure to spend time with you.
I hate winter too not for the cold but for the darkness! I’m in the UK and we have very little daylight in winter, so real looking forward to get to February
Your hair!! Perfection!! It should be your signature style. I would wear mine like that if it would look good on me. I still don't wear foundation and I still watch every foundation review of yours-I get a kick out of you and I think you must be one in a million.
From what I understand is when applying, you're supposed to use a brush to break up the little beads, then apply it to face. Maybe that would help ease the yuck of the texture?
Thanks for this one! I'm intrigued, but I tend to go for things that tint and even out. I'll try it. I have had bangs for years. I only ever do skincare and my priming/base products on my forehead. Bronzer only blended into the temples now!
I'm patch testing this right now, and I'm kind of on the fence about it. It's got a lot of hydrating ingredients, and it doesn't seem to be aggravating my sensitive skin, but it looks and feels so dry! I put it on the back of my hand, then blended and applied with fingers. It wouldn't mix together, just dry-looking pigment surrounded by "oil". I put it in quotes because it felt oily, but there isn't any oil in it at all. I'll leave it on a while longer, and if it doesn't aggravate my skin, I'd say it's just okay. It's definitely not something i can skip skincare with.
The only way it's really working for me is under other foundations, and I prefer to just use a primer rather than this. So it's not really making it into my regular routine.
Shelly, you’re supposed to put it on the back of your hand, then use your finger to keep mixing it up until all those beads pop and it becomes a tinted moisturizer style product. Never put it directly on the face from the pump or it will fail to do what it’s intended to do.
I don't have a forehead, I have a threehead (LOL) I don't even bother to bronze up there! I purchased this before it sold out everywhere and I agree the texture is funky but I too liked it a a lot. I too much preferred applying with a brush - I finished it off with a very light dusting of an Hourglass setting powder and it looked good (58 years old, dry skin). Great review!
Love the bangs. They look great on you. I have not tried this product as a primer. I like it but on it's own it's a bit too sheer for me. But I find the coverage of the Simply Ageless 3 - in - 1 foundation to be a little heavier than I like so I've been mixing the two together. I like how the combination of the two looks.
Your makeup is always so on point. Love it! Great review. I haven't been able to find the Covergirl serum yet, but I cant wait to try it. The thick bangs look fantastic on you! Yes, yes, yes to wearing makeup under the bangs. One windy day and you will regret not doing it. I have bangs, I know LOL
I have bangs and I still do contouring /bronze on the forehead... because just like our moms used to say about always having undies without holes because you NEVER KNOW...
I am anxious to try this foundation, I am so hoping Covergirl is making a come back, it’s all I wore as a teenager… Maybe a primer with more grip or no primer at all for slippage issues. 🤷♀️
Hi Shelley this is actually a really good shade match on you at this time of year 😂- you just have to accept being Casper in Winter my friend and if you stood next to me you would still feel tanned 😂(shade matches Mac nw5, dior 00, revolution 0.5 - yes I am that pale). Polka dot pores means it needs a bit of primer on the nose, but truthfully few don’t. It looks fine on you but you made me laugh with the texture comments😂. Best wishes x
If I remember correctly you’re supposed to break up the “globs” first by rubbing the product between your fingers before applying. It looks lovely on you though! Way to take one for the team!😂
Oooh, I didn't get the Happy Hour limited edition Miracle Balm, but I did get the Pinky Bronze from the Bobbi 3.0 Kit and I LOVE it. I hope they make it a permanent shade offering (no glitter in that one, just a pearl sheen). That kit also had Just a Sec cream shadow in new shade Cool Taupe, and it is great. I'd call it a true neutral rather than cool, but still. Terrific one-and-done for an effortless-glam-in-2-minutes sort of day. As for the Cover Girl Essence, mmmm, polka dot pores is usually a deal breaker for me! Thank you for saving me 21 bucks.
Ooohhh thank you for covering this one! I’ve been going back n forth on whether I want to try it or not. It’s expensive for drugstore even tho it does have great skincare ingredients in it. I’m also fair, but I’m on the fairer end of fair. Always Casper white lol I know that shade would work for me. I don’t know if I could get past applying it tho. Blah! I wouldn’t like the feel of it on my fingers. And I’m almost 52 so back in the day we applied all foundation with our fingers. Other face products too. But that stuff looks ick yuck. It’s beautiful on your skin though! I appreciate the really up close footage and the wear test as well. Also, seeing what it looked like in natural sunlight is a help too! It really is pretty on the skin. The rest of your makeup looked great as well 😊 love your energy and looking forward to the next one! Oh! And I agree, I like Ulta’s rewards program better than Sephora’s and I’m glad to see more brands going over to Ulta 😊 I never get close to Rouge, but that stinks they didn’t even send you an email! 😖 I would be mad too 😡 I hope you have a great rest of your weekend! 💖💜
i have been hoping you would try this. I do best with very very thin liquid foundations so this was on my radar. . I think it looks great on you and I cant see any polka dots. The cost though.. wow Will wait for a sale. I am loving winter, but I am on the west coast and admit we have a wimpy winter compared to most places. But it is so nice to have nice cool temps overnight and overcast days. I have been curious about the Rose Inc. Skin Tint at Sephora
Love your hair! I too love cherry flavor stuff and I thibk it’s from the cherry Luden’s “cough drops”😂 let’s be real they were candy and honestly, when you don’t feel great a little cherry candy can do wonders
This looks really good on you but not sure it’s quite enough coverage for me. Also love Miracle Balm, have several shades. Really like flushed. My excitement for the day is that Toups and Co finally has their lighter foundation back in stock. Been wanting to try it and they have samples!! Got two of the light shade samples. Really curious about it. Love the earrings! Have a great weekend!
Big fan of yours!!!!! Please review Polite Society foundation. I believe if I’m not mistaken it was formulated by the guys who first did TooFaced. Let know if wrong.
Love your hair!! The bangs really make your eyes pop!! I have had bangs all of my life and I put full makeup on my forehead. I don’t actually know why, wind?
Yeah I'd be worried about wind or getting stuck in the rain and having to push my bangs out of my face... but I guess if it rained everything would be a mess... I think I'd be preoccupied with a naked forehead if I didn't put makeup on it!
You look stunning Shelly!!!🥰 Can't believe you got screwed out of Rouge from Sephora. I don't blame you for taking business elsewhere and yep, Ulta is starting to carry more high end products. I'm not Rouge with Sephora, but sadly, I am Diamond with Ulta🤣🤣 I'm a sucker, I know.😖😁 I think this new Cover Girl foundation looks pretty but, I think I'll be passing on this one. I have too large of pores and cannot have anything settle into them. Sticking with my Dior Glow until I can find another good one. Still debating on trying the Haus Labs foundation.🤔
I need to grab it! I love Bobbi Brown so much. I don't know how she manages to be so effortlessly cool making stuff that works for any age group - like how can she appeal to the 20s AND the 50+ all at the same time??! But she does.
I really like that blush color on you. It's lovely. Also....your skin looks amazing. How do you have so few wrinkles in your 40? I'm in my 40s and I battle wrinkles. You look great.❤
When I was 19 I got sick of getting sunburn and started actively avoiding the sun (though I didn't start wearing sunscreen daily until my 30s, which is why the side of my face that faces the driver's side window has way more sun spots and texture than the other side... I used to commute an hour each way to work for 10 years, and was not wearing sunscreen). But I credit most of my good skin to sunscreen.
Hi Shelly. I saw an easier way to apply the foundation. Supposedly, you pump it onto the back of your hand and either with a brush or fingers, break the beads up, swirl your brush into the foundation, and apply to your face with the brush. You cracked me up with the cherry vanilla scented gloss. Maybe cherry Lifesavers, or cherry flavored Charms? Lumens cherry flavored cough drops? Cherry Twizzlers? Anyway, I thought the foundation looked nice. I don't think I'd be picking it up any time soon, but thanks for using it. Have a great weekend. I'm with you. I hate snow, cold weather, and winter, period!❄️🥶🤍🤍🌨
Hello sweetness! I’ve watched you for years and I believe this is my first comment. First off I turned 50 in November and so we are close in age and the cherry… is it like the cherry chapstick from the 70’s-80’s? Secondly I Love you and third I love your new hair. Thank you ❤😀
How do you apply your miracle balm??? I’m still learning mine… before or after make up…fingers or brush?? Thanks - love your reviews! So helpful for us 40+dry peeps!
I have the best luck with fingertips! As for before or after, it depends which way I'm wearing it. If it's going to be like a pseudo-foundation, then I'll apply it first. In the case of the Happy Hour glittery one, I use that mostly as highlight so I apply it after my foundation and dab it on to my cheeks and use my fingertips to blend it out. I mostly wear the Miracle Balm as a no-makeup makeup for the non-glitter shades, and I apply them mostly to my cheeks and most often when I'm doing a look like that, I'll use all cream products so a little cream bronzer, then the Miracle Balm... sometimes set with a little powder.
Wild you be willing to do half face curology and half face bakuchiol for 4-6 weeks to see what the results are? Pretty please ❤😘 Great video, Shelly!!!
Hello Shelly 😊 Have you tried the Catrice Nude Drop tinted serum? I bought it off of Amazon the other day and it is sooooo beautiful on the skin. Im 48 and I have very dry and dehydrated skin. I would love to know what your thoughts are if you’ve tried it ☺️
It looked great! Like you the texture might irk me. Your skin is amazing! About drug store price, my mom (she's 80) rarely wears makeup but likes the Almay smart shade. It was $17.99 at Walgreens, my mom's face was 😮. We didn't get it lol
Ugh I think I need to go look at some of the "older" foundations and see if the prices went up on everything or if it's just new releases that are pushing the line now.
My goodness you literally look good in EVERY hairstyle and EVERY hair colour!!! Love the thick bang on you!
I'm told it's because of an oval shaped face and neutral skin undertone but I'm certain I'd do it all anyway =D lol
Very cute! I have bangs too. Mine are a bit longer. I never bother with makeup on my forehead and rarely do my eyebrows because they are covered too!
Yesss I love the bangs
I think the bangs look great also! I wouldn’t bother with bronzer on the forehead if I wore bangs 🤷♀️😊 sometimes I don’t bother with it anyways at all lol
I'm glad I discovered your channel, I am also a Casper the ghost as well and don't wear foundation anymore because of mature skin and everything just sinks in. 54 and trying my best. If anyone has good recommendations I would appreciate it.
Love your honest videos!! Please don’t change. Thank you for staying true to yourself and your fans! ❤
It actually looks gorgeous on you, especially the outdoors footage. Love your reviews! I’ve concluded you’re my favourite TH-cam reviewer. ❤
Thanks, Michelle!!
Okay so I’ve had bangs for most of my life and I’ve just stopped putting makeup on my forehead all together 😂 no regrets!!!
Man! That dark hair just makes your eyes pop! Very pretty!
Thanks, Susan!!
OMG that physician formula liner is the best. I have old wrinkly eye lids and it went on smooth and the liner is so fine, I can actually do a cateye again.
It's kind of magical!
Your skin looks flawless.👍🏻👍🏻
Jergens' original scent (cherry almond) lotion sends me back to the 80's every time! You're gorgeous ❤
I’m not buying this until I watch your review of this. Thank you💕
The simply ageless line has been my drugstore holy grail for many many years. Would like to try this one!
This product looked GREAT at your mid-day check in. I think I will try it! Thanks for the review.
We are usually the same shade and I just bought light medium and I'm enjoying it. I went a shader darker than I usually get. I don't really think it's "worth" $21! Loving the hair, btw.❤

Oh wow your makeup finished look gave me rocky chic vibes
It’s such a good look for you!!
Love your videos so much!!! You have to blend the product, with a brush, on the back of your hand and the apply to the face. At least that’s how my Chanel Complexion Touch works the best for me.
Thank you so much for sharing how things work for you. I always scour the comments for suggestions. So helpful. Take care! ☺️
Your hair is PERFECT!! Absolutely love it (and brings out your beautiful eyes!!
Thanks, Dawn!!
Thanks, Shelley! I actually love that shade on you. I have that type of beaded foundation from Chanel. I do like it.
It really does look nice on you. Looked spectacular outside. I wouldn't be able to get over the texture beads in it though. Thanks for doing such a great review on the product. Jergens lotion back in the day had a cherry scent and as a kid I loved it!
Someone just mentioned that and I looked and they still make it!!! Cherry Almond! I need to put it on my next Target run lol
That haircut is gorgeous!! I love it so much! I’m so glad you reviewed this. I’ve been back and forth about it. Not sure it’s enough coverage for me. I do have to go track down one of those Aldi palettes though! Very pretty eye look! 😊
I love the Tom Ford lost Cherry sent it is so great I think it's so good and the longer you wear it the more cherry notes come out of it
Beautiful look. Cherry smells reminds of Dr Pepper lip smackers.
And I love your oh so helpful reviews❤😊
Love your new hairstyle pretty lady. I really enjoy your videos.

@@Sharon-Australia Yeh, I know, right? I'm still waiting for the L'Oreal 4 in 1 tinted balm - 3 years. Have you ever tried this?
Your hair is amazing
Ah! I have been waiting for you to do this one! Excited!
I think it looks nice & brightening on you.
Cleaning my office & this is the perfect companion!
I just received this! I got it off Amazon on Prime Day, it was only $9! Cant wait to see what its like. Im hoping its a ni e skin tint for days where i dont want a full foundation
Hi Shelley.. I bought the Chanel, and I love it.
A lot of people try to make it full coverage and it’s too thin for that.
Your skin looks great! And your hair color is gorgeous...really brings out your eyes! As for bronzer and bangs...I still do it
Jergens original scent is cherry vanilla
Love your new do and color. Always love your videos.
so pretty ❤
oh good i’ve been waiting for this review…

I hate winter, too. As soon as New Year's passes I am ready for spring.

Can you try Farmaci make up
Thanks
More mascara reviews please.

Thanks, Lisa!
You look very pretty and ilove the bangs!
Thanks, Mary!

Great hair color on you.

I didn't even think of the wind! Yes!!!
I found all the shades on a display at rite aid
Love your hair color and bangs. I thought the foundation was a good shade for you, and it looked really nice.
I have bangs and I still do contouring /bronze on the forehead... because just like our moms used to say about always having undies without holes because you NEVER KNOW...
EXCELLENT point!!!
i'm excited for this one!🤓
I am anxious to try this foundation, I am so hoping Covergirl is making a come back, it’s all I wore as a teenager…
Maybe a primer with more grip or no primer at all for slippage issues. 🤷♀️

I love Casper so I'm OK with it! LOL =D
nite Shelly. 🙋🏼♀️
If I remember correctly you’re supposed to break up the “globs” first by rubbing the product between your fingers before applying. It looks lovely on you though! Way to take one for the team!😂
Yes, you are right. It should be mixed before it is applied.

Love the new cut & color, it's very flattering 👍🏾🥰. We're not shade twins at all (NARS Marquises), but I appreciate your reviews ✌🏾
Thank you!!
I’m interested in this, but I use Agency ( I’m. 55, using Trent since age 50). I’m afraid this might piss my skin off……..
Hair looks good!
Thank you!!
Thanks, Aleigha!!
i have been hoping you would try this.
Oh my gosh that reminds me of how I used to eat Halls cherry cough drops as candy! lol those Luden's are delish too!
“My inner 12 yr old is giggling.” Girl, I literally laughed out loud, especially when you made that face. 😂
I need to add the Toups to my list and get some!!
Big fan of yours!!!!! Please review Polite Society foundation. I believe if I’m not mistaken it was formulated by the guys who first did TooFaced. Let know if wrong.
This one is on my list to grab!! I don't know how I missed it on Ulta's web site but I see it's there now!
@@goowI want to try it too but I trust your analysis of products!
LOL yeah I'm definitely Diamond with Ulta! I have their credit card too as my daily expense card so I get mega points lol.
@@goow Those points just get us into more trouble, ha, ha!!!🤣🤣
Do you plan on trying Fenty hydrating concealer?
I recommend bronzer under the bangs.😊
Yes I need to grab it!!! It's a definite yep I will be getting it.
Try breaking up the beads on your palette or back of your hand. ❤
Artificial cherry scent just reminds me of Dr. Pepper!
I absolutely LOVE Dr Pepper so there is likely something to that!
21 dollars ! Cover Girl ! What ! Ty for trying this out for us
I still can't get over it - they're like, no shame, just rolling into the drugstore 20+ deep lol.
The dusty rose bronzer/ blush from Jones road looked interesting 🤍🤍🤍
Now I'm wishing I would have started a sunscreen routine years ago. I used to worship the sun and try to tan. Now I'm paying the price.
The cherry lipsmacker chapstick or roller ball ? A lot of people in our age range had those in childhood
OH yes I had those!!
You're looking gorj!
❤
Mmmmm ALL of the cherry things!! I used to eat cough drops as candy so there's probably a hint of that going on.... lol
I did the same. There were no medications in the cherry cough drops, so we ate them like candy! 😂@@goow
Hello sweetness! I’ve watched you for years and I believe this is my first comment. First off I turned 50 in November and so we are close in age and the cherry… is it like the cherry chapstick from the 70’s-80’s? Secondly I Love you and third I love your new hair. Thank you ❤😀
Happy birthday Sybil and HELLO!!!! :) It totally smells like that cherry chapstick! Gosh I was obsessed with that stuff.
@@goow can’t wait for another video! Your videos always make my day!
Pretty please ❤😘
Great video, Shelly!!!
I love that idea - I haven't canceled my Curology yet and I have 2 bottles left (so 2 months)....
For me, the vanilla cherry makes me think of Sonic drinks. Sonic was the only “restaurant” in the wee town I grew up in.
I wish we had a Sonic when I was a kid!!! I was well into adulthood by the time they made it to my neck of the woods!
Hello Shelly 😊 Have you tried the Catrice Nude Drop tinted serum? I bought it off of Amazon the other day and it is sooooo beautiful on the skin. Im 48 and I have very dry and dehydrated skin. I would love to know what your thoughts are if you’ve tried it ☺️
I'll add it to my list - I haven't tried it yet!
@@goow I think you’ll like it. My skin loves it. 😊😊
@@goow that would be interesting! Last time I ordered it for her was on Amazon and about $12.
When I think of childhood cherry, I think of the Cherry Merry Muffin dolls 🍒
