Shelly, I’ve found that the No7 future renew products are much cheaper at Target than the No7 website. One time I compared the website sale vs Target, and Target was still a better deal.
Thorn oil is fantastic and Cover Girl Outlast stain is also fantastic! And I have a list of other things to try! lol New drugstore mascara coming, Maybelline Sensational Firework.
The Hada Labo Shirojyun has tranexamic acid for brightening. That’s why it’s my favorite from their line. ☺️ The BoJ is actually retinAl- that’s why I love it! I use it on my whole face. It’s gentle enough for my rosacea. I really enjoy everything I’ve tried from BoJ (2 serums, toner, and sunscreen).
I do love your bakuchiol cream. I have tried many and they are too thick for me. I was surprised as your cream soaks in, doesn't break me out and my sensitive skin is fine with it. Perfect primer. You did well.
Hey Shelly! Love this video - a random mix of products is always so much fun! I've found the CoverGirl Lip Stain pens are extremely drying on my lips; they don't work at all over any of my four different lip primers, so if I use them, I must put an SPF moisture balm over top. I've been loving the Almay Age Essentials clear SPF balm, it has a moisturizing core and a soft sheen that doesn't slide around or disappear too quickly. Cheap at the drugstore! Thanks for the mascara recommendations, this category is always difficult for me. Nice video!
Ooooo I'm so glad you are trying the Skin 1004 sunscreen. That is my favourite. I also like the Skin 1004 purple ampoule too. The lip Balm is interesting, will have to add that to my list. SPF26 is ok, prefer 30 or higher but this might work out. Thanks for the vid!
i love beauty of joseon - I used that same eye cream tonight! I really want to try ritual de fille and hearing you talk about it again I think it's time I place that order.
YES, you need to try more from the brand Skin1004.The Madagascar Centella Probio-Cica Intensive Ampoule (in the 50ml dark glass dropper bottle) is AMAZING. It would replace your Genifique or your current Genifique alternative (and is even more hydrating).
You should try more from Beauty of Joeson I’ve loved everything I’ve tried. Also, Mary & May is a great new-to-me K-beauty brand. I don’t think anything from RDF will disappoint you. I love their color Cosmetics
Yes.. exactly. Lots of articles state sunscreens may be compromised with oil on top, which is why I have been very reluctant. My face loves oils and I have been wanting to try this primer... Is there something about this oil, the formulation that does not do this?
No performance issues with the combo (ironically I'm wearing the same base today lol!) If I were spending any significant time in the sun, I wouldn't use the oil over the sunscreen, but me + significant time in the sun is a rarity these days (and I reapply sunscreen in those situations anyway). The general advice is when layering oils and SPF to put time in between the two applications. I do my makeup at least 20 minutes after applying SPF (usually longer).
hi Shelly! great video, I just added a few products to my wishlist 😁... you know, the No7 Future Renew line was a bit disappointing, back in November of last yr I got the serum, the eye cream, and the night moisturizer and I started using them at the same time trying to get the best results possible (as if they could do miracles 😆) the eye cream and the serum were ok but I didn't see any visible improvement on my skin 🤔 now, the night cream was soo drying! I honestly didn't like it at all 😬 now that I think about it I haven't had much luck with any No7 skincare product 🤔... oh well... I've been trying a bunch of korean skincare products/brands lately, too soon to say yet... anyway, thnx for the recommendations 🤗 have a good one!... hugzzz 💜
I bought my hard of hearing husband some Centella products to help with rosacea. I told him the whole “Tiger Grass” spiel, in hopes he would actually use it. He said, “What??!! I’m not putting lion pi$$ on my face!” 😂 Back to the hearing doctor we go!
I put at least 20 minutes in between my skin care (of which the last step is SPF) and doing my makeup (of which the first step is the oil primer). That's generally enough time to reduce their interaction, but if I were spending significant time in the sun, I would probably skip the oil primer. I do carry an SPF refresh mist with me to reapply throughout the day if I do find myself outdoors for longer than anticipated.
The thorn oil feels like a straight-up oil, like most facial oils, and has a more obvious scent. The Merit is a two-phase sort of concoction that is much more liquidy and thinner in texture. The Merit doesn't really contribute any visual smoothing though it does have more skin care ingredients (as it's primarily intended as skin care). The RdF thorn oil does appear more like a smoothing base as a primer on me.
I don't know about the US, but here in England, the No7 serum can be bought in a tube rather than a bottle with pump. By the way, Shelley, what do you like about it? I have tried a few items from No7 but was never that impressed.
My favorite thing about this new "pepticology" line from them is that it's the only thing in a decade of trying various skin repair products that has made any difference on my forehead lines. Several have completely vanished and my 3 deeper ones are much less deep now. (I've been using it since June 2023 at least daily, sometimes morning and night).
Definitely don't give up is rule number one!! There's always an adjustment period for retinols and tretinoin. The thing that saves me is doing "7 skins" at least once a week - one night a week, taking a hydrating toner (with no exfoliating or other actives, something like the Pixi milky mist) and patting in as many layers as you can, one after another, until your skin won't absorb any more (they say 7, but sometimes I can only get to 5, and sometimes I need 13!) and then top it with moisturizer and go to bed. That helps when I get flaky and keeps it at bay.
This one is unscented :) You'll likely have better luck in the US finding unscented ones via Korean brands. The SPF actives we use in the US are ancient compared to the better formulations of the past 2 decades. That's part of why I pretty much only wear Korean or European formulas of SPF anymore.

I definitely need to hit Target for my next restock!!
That oil is Teresa is dead’s most favorite and loved product!!!
Another good option for facial oil is Mad About Skin’s anti ageing It’s affordable, very moisturizing, and my skin loves it.
Thorn oil is fantastic and Cover Girl Outlast stain is also fantastic!
And I have a list of other things to try! lol
New drugstore mascara coming, Maybelline Sensational Firework.
This is fun, thank you for listing ALL the products, need to try them!😍

I'm half way through the bottle now! I've been using the Shirojyun every morning =D Thank you thank you thank you!
I do love your bakuchiol cream. I have tried many and they are too thick for me. I was surprised as your cream soaks in, doesn't break me out and my sensitive skin is fine with it. Perfect primer. You did well.
Thank you!! The primer-like feature was a happy accident :)
I’m curious about the Rituel de Fille products and Polite society. I’m considering purchasing them as well as the cover girl lip pens. So thank you!!

They're not inexpensive but I am absolutely loving their products. I regret not a dime lol.
I love the cover girl lip stain pens! I had one that was dried up and I couldn't bring myself to throw it out. I'm so excited they are back!!!❤❤
I'm so excited about the lip stain markers. I love to use them as liners because they don't bleed into any little lines. Great video.❤
Hi :) loving your eye make up today and this was such a helpful video, THank you so very much ! great channel keep up the great work!
Great Vidoe Shelly. Really like these types of vidoes that you bring to us. I enjoy all of your videos, thank you bunches.
I love that Beauty of Joseon eye product and that it contains retinaldehyde. I use it on my lips at night too.
Your skin looks really good
Thanks, Sandra!
Have you ever tried Dr. Denese skincare? I'd love to see you review it, its absolutely amazing. Especially the Hydroshield Serum!
try the eye soots or cream color products from Rituel de fille! love that brand
Another amazing video thanks Shell ❤️😊

I grabbed a few Mary and May things after Tati had them in a recent video - I need to get to using them!!
I ordered the Madagascar Centella Asiatica sunscreen last week. I got a great deal,on 2 bottles from Yes Style.
I love YesStyle's deals!
Review request: Supergoop tinted sunscreen, heimish moringa ceramide bb and la roche posay tinted sunscreen - I only trust you 🥰
Looking especially lovely, Shelly! How does the Ritual de Filles priming oil play with that spf?
That was my question as well. And the oil over spf?
Yes.. exactly. Lots of articles state sunscreens may be compromised with oil on top, which is why I have been very reluctant. My face loves oils and I have been wanting to try this primer... Is there something about this oil, the formulation that does not do this?

@@goow so you put spf over the oil?

What about the weight in high altitude areas of the country?! 😊
How does the thorn oil compare to the merit great skin?
The thorn oil feels like a straight-up oil, like most facial oils, and has a more obvious scent. The Merit is a two-phase sort of concoction that is much more liquidy and thinner in texture. The Merit doesn't really contribute any visual smoothing though it does have more skin care ingredients (as it's primarily intended as skin care). What lipstick are you wearing? You look beautiful.
Thank you!! What shade do you wear in the rituel foundation?
Potion 120!

@@goow, that's it! I am putting my order in! I hope I will get good results, although I must say, I have never seen any wrinkles on you!
I just started retenol prescribed from my doctor. Im noticing dryness on the side of my nose. Any suggestions on what to do

I hate the taste and smell of spf, do you know of any that are unscented?
There are plenty and the Skin 1004 that Shelly has here is unscented. Doesn't bother my eyes either but your mileage may vary.
