- Does RSS, ordinary Hindu, or the Indian Establishment reject the unique identity of Sikhs in India?
It was my honor to gather views on such repeated accusations by a person who can probably comment on it most authoritatively. Sardar Tarlochan Singh is a proud Sikh and a proud Punjabi, who in his very varied distinguished career has served also as the member of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), member of Rajya Sabha (upper house of federal parliament), and as the Chairman of National Commission of Minorities (NCM).
With a lifetime of experience behind him, 88-year-old Sardar Sahab, puts some basic questions with which an ordinary Sikh can gauge for himself whether Hindus/RSS hold our Gurus and Panth in deep reverence, or do they wish to subsume our identity as is repeatedly accused by some?
Lastly, we as Sikhs must also question and be responsible to ensure that disrespect if any between the communities is not being festered from our side.

Hindu word came from Mountain range adjoining Himalayan range towards Afghanistan known as "Hindu"kush mountain Range and the river (H)INDUS that emerges from Hindukush mountain range passes through what is now called Pakistan, forming (H)Indus valley and meets Arabian sea in Pakistan. In the history of hundreds of centuries several faiths, practices following different rituals depending upon different historical time periods, zones and geographies emerged on this land, to guide people.

I have never seen any enmity when we lived in Punjab since birth. We knew a Sikh family who had named their kids as Ram singh Sita and Amarjeet. My father who had not recognized his student with a flowing beard in a bus during height of terrorism was politely returned his fare and very respectfully informed that he was the owner of the bus and so he could travel free.It is another thing that he turned down that request and blessed him when he touched his feet. This is of course long long ago. But my question who has vitiated the atmosphere? You should know the answers. Somehow Hindus are always at the receiving end!

More than in India, forces sitting out side India are desperate to damage the harmony amongst the people of India to meet their own interests. Such forces need to be snubbed by one and all with full might.
During one of my visits to India several years ago I attend a RSS session in Punjab. I can honestly say I saw NO racist or extremist views being shared.
They spoke very highly of Sikhs and spoke about brotherhood, working for the nation, doing charity work etc.
From my experience the hatred being spread about RSS or Hindus stems from Congress, Left Wing Extremist, Pakistanis and Khalistani extremists.

Well read and well educated sikhs know this reality, but unfortunately how many are well read and well educated. Most of the religious ( not all) preachers are very less educated. I being a topper in village (patti)in matric became offr in the army and failed one became preacher and I have to hear his preachings in my village gurdwara.

I feel really disturbed when some people demand for khalistan I really don't know why? Sikhism and Hinduism are same. in the ongoing farmers protest I have seen many are demanding khalistan and many Sikhs brothers from Canada are disrespectful towards Indian flag. Many from the other communities are using this protest to build a barrier between the Sikhs and Hindus. Please don't fall under their trap we all Hindus and Sikhs are same and are brothers. I have seen many communal riot between Hindus and muslim but I really don't want that Sikh and Hindus are fighting among eachother.
