Indian civilisation has a long history and manusmriti was written and made law only during a certain period . It is not a holy book for Hindus . I have never seen anybody keep or read manusmriti . Don’t try to equate it to Bhagavadgita or as holy book of Hindus . There are many epics , books , literature , laws that happened in our vast history . Some had thier relevance depending on the time and period . But this civilisation kept evolving and self reforming throughout history . In Bhagavadgita gita Krishna himself says that samajik ( social laws ) dharma must change and keep up with time and situations. Only sanathan dharma ( that which is concerned with individual spiritual awakening)is eternal So manusmriti is not a permanent concept as it is nothing but social laws and justice system of a certain period by a certain popular figure of that period . Manu isn’t god and his words have no relevance today .
@@abcnews2856 temple priest ( pujari ) isn’t an authority in sanathan , they are not pope or mullah , who has powers to make decisions for Hindu community. They are just hired for temple rituals . They don’t get the right to preach religion or dictate terms to devotees like on church etc . He doesn’t even control the temple premises only the temple administration / trust does that . He only does for what he is hired for and they get a meagre salary for their service .

It not about what you think many people (sikhs) think themselves as an indo-abhramic community that came with the advent of Silk route. There are many papers also written mostly by church funded organizations that everything in punjab was brought by arabs and m uslims. Many people also link genetic studies to show that sikhs are not Indians and constantly create aryan-dravidian claim and some times also bring the martial race concept to support their claims which is infact deeply racist and made up of false narrative in order to divide indian society even more

Sardar ji, we need more people like you to make some Sikhs understand certain things. Today, most sikh people have absolutely no idea who they are and what the gurus said. Everyone knows Banda Singh Bahadur and yet they don't know who is Madho Das. I once asked my mother about this and only reply I get from her is that I'm a 'Modi ka chamcha' and BJP guy. Unfortunately, this trend is very very high in foreign countries like Canada and USA , where Sikhs are doing certain things without understanding their own backgrounds. Sir. You spoke our hearts. I am a brahmin from andhra pradesh born and raised in part of delhi which was known for settlers of refugee sikhs and punjabis from pakistan. I grew up with friends from these two communities where we played and ate in each other's houses. There was a gurudwara in a neighbouring lane where we heard keertans from and paid obeisances everyday and particularly on days when we had an exam or a test in school. Never for once did we think of each other as different religiously. They liked or disliked our language and xulture and spoke about it just as we did the sane with their culture and language. It is disastrous to think of us as different entities. We may have differences on issues like brothers of sane family but to hate each other is unthinkable my family has been a regular visitor to gurudwara for faith and belief in peace and tranquility. We never miss donating in cash or in kind on our special days like birthdays or marriages or success. Please suggest ways to reestablish the bond we share and to fail the breaking forces.

In my view, Hindu's and Sikhs are brothers. there is essentially no difference between these two streams, just that politicians have somehow succeeded in creating difference in the minds of people. In Panjab, elder son of the family typically was donated for the cause of defending the hindu dharm, which was being assaulted at the time, and made a kripan dhari, and kesh dhaari sikh.
With this background, how can we differentiate between two brothers ? We are brothers, and Kripan dhaari Sikhs the elder ones, and we are the younger ones under their protection.
Sikh = Sishya
Sardar became very common usage, because it was mostly the elder son of the families.
Moreover, teachings in Guru Garnth Sahib are not different from Sanatan/Hindu teachings. Guru Gobind Singh himself translated and composed Ramayan, Bhagwat in Punjabi to bring the message to the common man, wrote Chandi di Waar and created Khalsa to defend the Dharma, which was under severe attack at that time.
Guru Granth Sahib is our latest Gyan Granth written in the last millennium, and we should all study and follow its teachings.

In guru granth sahib there are many names of god.... ALLAH is also written....names of god dont recognise any avtaar....it belongs to ONE GOD not to avtaars.
