Also, I've been curious. The twice-born star set, if I use that with the boon that adds armor and a boon that adds spell penetration, 3/5 torug's pact, full divines, 5light/1/1, do you think that would be a solid set to go into both PvP and PvE with?
Deltia, could you do a video about addons that help people understand the game more, have more control and addons that are "must have"? Would help a lot, thx!
Hello Deltia. Great video you have here and informative. I have one silly question I noticed in the video. How did you get your Undaunted capped at level 10? I am stuck on the beginning of level 9 and my guilds tell me that is far as it goes.
so do dual weilding, bow and two handed abilities all scale off the weapon damage? staff abilities scale off spell damage? what about the class skills? does it depend on what resource it takes to cast?
So is the light attack from staff coming from stamina and staff's skill from magika if I heard correctly? Or is both skill and light attack from magika instead of stamina?
what armour should I wear for a tank that uses one hand a shield for defence I will also be using my templar healing skills and trying to do a bit of DPS (PVP with one friend in the group)
Now this is the kind of information that I have been looking for. Thank you now with that info, can this be put on a spreadsheet? But I really would like to know how to see your character screen move with adjustments to try out out what is best? New player to ESO of only 3 months. Again thanks again for your video!!!!!!!
@Deltia when asked tributes tell them put as many points in to get hp to 18-20k for dps/healer and rest into your classes resource pool. Tank 30-35k and split 2/1 based on if your heavy magic or heavy stam ability for block/abilitys. your correct point value is worthless.
Question I just got the game and I wanted to build a 2H Dragon Knight with 5/2/0 (Light/Med) armor. I assume that would make me mostly magic as far as damage goes, so would using abilities that add offensive effects to my weapon be beneficial?
I have a question. How come Ganking nb tend to evade every damage 3/4 of the time. Does dodge skills stack, or is it some internet bug. They tend to evade arrows and wrecking blows like 60% of the time
Hi man. I've always played a Nord DK with 7 plate armor and a 2h on both wep slots. I like to play that giant that in the front cleaving shit. Would you consider it more beneficial to wear 5 plate, 1 med and 1 cloth now?
Deltia, How much do I actually miss out on if I decide to go with a race and class that isn't the most compatible with passives etc? This is my main concern, because right now I have a Kahjiit Templar style main, but Kahjiit's are more suitable for Nightblades. I'm not a big PVP player, but I'm wondering what do you think when it comes to playing what race and class you want vs which race is better for which class?
IAMILLEGAL2 Not that much honestly. My Nord DPS could out dps anyone in my PvE guild. Skill > Gear ........................ passives. Nightblade stamina go Khajiit.
I didn't really get the 5 pieces thing. If you use, lets say, 5 pieces of light armor and 2 other. You get more stats but you don't get the 2x % reduced cost and other passives from 2 pieces of light armor. Isn't that worse?
Rafael Silva You get more stats, thus more damage for doing 5 1/1 than you do for 7 light. Yes you lose cost reduction, but who needs that when you can life tap or heavy attack for magicka?
So if I understand correctly, if I have a high damage melee weapon(that's what I mainly stick with) and high stamina I will do massive damage? I'm also a Imperial Dragonknight.
+Adam Lawrence Yeah you're right. For example, if you use a 2H weapons Wrecking Blow ability, the more base damage your weapon does and the higher stamina your character has, the more overall damage the ability will do.
Nie tutaj nope. You can't use a staff alongside a shield. Heavy armor won't help a healer, you need magika for that. I'd suggest you go 5 light and 2 heavy if you want to be a lil bit more tanky. As far as being both, you can, but you'll probably need tons of champion points and possibly months into the game, not starting off to be any good at both.
Is it still going to be viable to use 1h + shield with magicka build for invasion, extra armor and extra attribute enchantment even if I cant block as much?
every time I put point in stamina I never see the weapon damage increases only max stamina how much exactly do attribute on stamina do to weapon max damage? I'm on ps4 version u think this is bug? Or does it on pc too? I'm lvl 13.
So I run you 1000+ DPS Mage build to a lesser degree of efficiency no doubt but I'm getting there. Currently lvl VR3.....LVLing Ive put all my points into health as a means of survivability, Ive also tweaked my armor wearing 2 heavy 5 light; still hitting 50% + crit chance based off the reccomended skill. Now based of what you state in this video should all points go in Magica and then I can off set health with runed gear? Really interested in how that buil dis affected by 1.6 as a whole. Love your videaos man!!!!
Im stuck with 2.6K weapon dmg (buffed) and max 21K crit dmg on incap strike, wearing full hunding's and 4 piece of night mother (2 on armor, 2 on dual wield) and 3 agility and currently using shadow stone, can you help me to increase my dmg output
Fernaldy C If its PvE More damage, make sure your weapons are gold, jewelry is enchanted with gold damage glyphs, try get 30k+ stamina, usually the defining factors for high dps. PvE I would switch out Nightmothers and Agility for Leviathan for monster crit, wear Kraghs because its the best dps over long durations. PvP, wear viper and maybe clever alchemist, but alchemist isn't necessary, you can just wear regular hundings and either selene or velidreth. But for me, I had the best gear and all the great potions, but my dps didn't significantly increase until I refined my rotation to a point (on console with no buff tracker I had to do the maths, how many flurries before I had to refresh), getting smoother, what order is best, etc. This isn't law or what you should do or run, just what I did that helped me.
So you just helped me realize why my nightblade that I'm leveling seems to be getting more and more squishy but doing less and less damage. Lack of weapon damage. While I do have decent weapons and wear medium armor, I have been using magika regen jewelry and passing up all the weapon damage jewelry for that reason. I still hit kind of hard but I bet Im kind of soft capping on how much stamina can currently effect my weapon damage.
Stamina NB are just getting buff honestly. In 1.5, you always soft cap your weapon damage. In 1.6 you will have no cap on weapon damage, so expect to do way more damage. Same thing on stamina there is no more cap on it. Ambush, Surprise attack and other NB skill will have morph into stam and weapon damage. Expect more glass cannon in 1.6 :)
RendolpheGamer I'm now officially excited as fuck to see the type of damage ambush will do from behind when scaling off stamina. Top that off with the fact that I just started leveling 2 handers because I maxed out my dual wield (training trait dual wield weapons from level one equals capping skills fast). I'm curious to see if the damage bonuses from wrecking blow and ambush stack together with a free crit from shadowy disguise, throw in a marked target. Well If it actually works the way im thinking it could be pretty trolly. Edit: Could be even more funny with the new shadowstrike passive from the shadow in the champion mastery tree.
Alpha Scrub They remove penalty on you with mark target :). Stam NB build are getting some love. Oh and when you fear someone that is blocking, they will no more hold blocking when feared. Another plus. Can't wait for 1.6 with my stam NB.
I am sorry if this is irrelevant but what is the exact definition of Melee attack? Cause i have been looking around and found a lot of different answers. Anyone can help me out with that?! I would very much appreciate it.
Maan212 Where you melee like normal, not ranged like bow or spells. Magika sorcerer doesn't have any. It would be when you swing your sword, hit them with your shield, actually physically with your limbs and extremities strike them.
How come they have increased Value numbers so drastically for 1.6? For example Health values with current ESO build is ideal for around 2800 Health(For DPS) But in 1.6 your rocking over 11k health. Doesn't it create a similar circumstance to WoW... Where 10 years later and the Number values are almost ridiculous they are so large.
Deltia's Gaming Yah has got bigger, just don't understand why. Also side note, when working on my crafting I tried to research(Google search) on how and where to get Nirnhoned trait and there is little to no reference out there. Might be something to look into later when looking to make crafting guides for Console players.
DootDoot If You looking for Nirncrux, install add-on MiniMap by fyrakin - on the map of Craglorn is border from red dots - this border separate Upper and Lower Craglorn. Nirncrux You can farm in Upper Craglorn, from nodes: Voidstone, Void Bloom, Nightwood. It drop same way Crawlers or worms drop when You harvesting herbs. Drop rate is low so mostly You need to spend 1h or more to gather 1 Nirncrux. I moslty get 1 Nirncrux after harvesting about 100 Voidstone or more. You can't get it from Refining mats, but You can get it from Heavy Sacks in upper Craglorn. There are two types of nirncrux: - Potent used for weapon traits - average worth - 14K - (NA serv) - Fortified used for armor traits - average worth - 10K - (NA serv) Potent is worth more because is even more rare than Fortified. I mostly Teleport to dragon arena Wayshrine (North-west corner of Craglorn) and go to farm to the east. Info above I can confirm myself - yesterday I farmed 1 Potent and 2 Fortified nirncrux in some 3h of farming. One day in similar time I got 2 Potents and 3 Fortified so there is no rule on drop rate. About how to get weapon/armor with nirnhorned trait - as I know they drop or are quest prize from quest or trial but I'm not questing in Craglorn yet so I can't confirm that. The best way is to farm nirncrux yourself and ask someone who ady got trait to make You item for research. Regards An'Yaevarn - VR5 DPS Templar - NA serv @QuendiX
Deltia's Gaming You welcome Deltia :) For long time I wasn't interested in Nirnhoned trait, but then I researched all other traits in Woodworking and at this time one of VR14 guildmate told me that she is farming nirncrux. PS.: Today (1 March) I was farming for some 5 hours on same spot as usual but nothing droped... I don't know if ZOS switched something before 1.6 or it was just very bad luck. I need to check it after 1.6 will came on live. If rate droped even more, then price will go up drastically.
I need help my wife has a sorcerer and is using a staff that had 1990 cold damage enchant on it she leveled up to 19 and now it say 1680 on it does any knoe why this happened she hasn't changed anything on her character and her staff is fully charged
i clicked on this video thinking he would show me how the hell do i hit the people who are hitting me... i'm so lost how do i use my sword its too hard... btw (i'm from the south)
Great video and thanks for creating this content, unfortunately some of the important info isn`t correct (at least as of 1.6.3). It makes 0 sense, but the highest damage you can do with your magicka based class skills is with dual wield (next most powerful is 2H). I equipped a destro staff, checked my class abilities, then equipped 2 daggers and there was about a 20% increase in damage of those abilities (had all magicka morphs). The only conclusion I could come to is that magicka abilities scale off weapon power (or spell power is based on your weapon power which basically is the same thing). Unless they change things or this is a bug, for people using class skills for dps everyone will be dual wield even if they are using only magicka abilities. Hopefully they fix this. Do some tests with the template characters on PTS and think you will be pretty surprised by how your weapon changes damage with stamina AND magicka class skills.
i play for 2 years now, im a cp390 high elf sorcerer born under the mage. I use all kinds of buffs like food, and abilities that make my stats go up but the character still sucks ass compaired to most players out there that are of a way lower level...... :/ I dont know what im doing wrong and this is very frustrating, my stats are, Magicka - 36k (food buff solitude salmon millet) Magicka recovery - 800 Health- 18k, (food buff solitude salmon millet) Health recovery - 300 Stamina - 9k stamina recovery - 200 Spell damage - 2600 (3140 with surge on) spell critical - 48% Spell resistance, 14k physical rististence, 11k I use 2 pieces of heavy armor and 5 pieces of light armor (complete julianos set including legendary lightning staff of julianos with damage enchantment, 4 pieces from the mad tinker set and 2 pieces from the cyrodills etc set) Can someone please help me on how to get my stats up or enlighten me on what im doing wrong here????
I know you're a busy dude but please respond to this, if not someone else who can answer me on this question. You talk about 10k dps, but on PC you guys have the cheater programs to see all that stuff, how do i figure it out even in a vague sense on xbox?? Also, mathmatically how does weapon damage factor into how much damage, for instance, surprise attack does? Please help, i am insanely frustrated with my build and ive respeced twice in the last week.
It's should say under your character option, and it isn't a cheat it is a add on, if it was a cheat the player would be banned from playing and probably get fined
I didn't mean actually cheating, its a figure of speech. It makes things way easier for you. And no it doesn't say it in character otherwise id never have asked.
Josh Z Facepalm. It uses an API designed for UI addons, that Bethesda added themselves. The info displayed is info bethesda gave the addon permission to display to the player. It is not a cheat, its a feature.
This whole time this dude just talks about weapon critical and doesnt go in dept for magic critical. let me guess your just another archer who just spams crits.
Deltia, this is probably the single most informative breakdown of any ESO topic I've ever seen.
THANK you! Keep up the good work!
Dude i think you understnad this game better then the developers themselfs
IceWorldDestroyer naw man he's secretly a dev himself!
can you recreate this video for one tamriel pls. and also an armor talk. thank you
I've been looking for a solid video on how to raise my DPS with a Khajiit destro sorc, the tips in this video were great! Thank you so much ;-;
Also, I've been curious. The twice-born star set, if I use that with the boon that adds armor and a boon that adds spell penetration, 3/5 torug's pact, full divines, 5light/1/1, do you think that would be a solid set to go into both PvP and PvE with?
Raine Heartsong I haven't found a use for Twice Born Star set and don't think it's beneficial. Stick with Hundings Ashen.
Can do, thanks!
Thanks for these videos. Just started ESO and really find all your videos helpful and informative. Keep up the great work.
Deltia, could you do a video about addons that help people understand the game more, have more control and addons that are "must have"? Would help a lot, thx!
You are so on point about 5 piece light, 1 piece medium and 1 piece heavy armor.
I think i "no-life" your channel more than i do ESO. Keep the videos coming
Hello Deltia. Great video you have here and informative. I have one silly question I noticed in the video. How did you get your Undaunted capped at level 10? I am stuck on the beginning of level 9 and my guilds tell me that is far as it goes.

Hey deltia! will you ever make more magika builds? would love to see a templar magika dps build :-) love the vids, youre my go to eso youtuber!
So I'm trying to figure out which armor is best for templers using staves and as for attributes I suppose I need max magicka.
man thx for these awesome vids - learning a lot about the game
Deltia, have you or are you going to create a video on the champion system? If you've done one, can't seem to locate it. Great vids btw.
David Avery Yes though I don't understand it that well. Once I do, then I'll make one.
Awesome, thanks.
what armour should I wear for a tank that uses one hand a shield for defence I will also be using my templar healing skills and trying to do a bit of DPS (PVP with one friend in the group)

How about unarmed combat? You will have zero weapon damage, but is that scale with max stamina for more damage?
Question
I just got the game and I wanted to build a 2H Dragon Knight with 5/2/0 (Light/Med) armor. I assume that would make me mostly magic as far as damage goes, so would using abilities that add offensive effects to my weapon be beneficial?
As far as i know for example destruction staff skills scale from weapon damage and spell critical, am i wrong? is that changed in 1.6?
Deltia can you show us how to make the most damiging or powerful sorcerer
Britishbroyo Sure, in my 1.6 builds after it's released :)
I know large and small armor pieces affect armor rating and enchants, but do they do anything special for the passives?
Universe3074 No
Is medium armor suppose to be like light armor from skyrim
and are they affected by spell damage or by standard damage
Can u show me/us how to install set buddy i cant seem to have up in my addons idk why...
I have a question. How come Ganking nb tend to evade every damage 3/4 of the time. Does dodge skills stack, or is it some internet bug. They tend to evade arrows and wrecking blows like 60% of the time
doesnt stack its chanche so it can be that he dodges everything its not that 20% dodge chanche gives you 1/5 attacks evade
so basically if you a sorc magic build focus on critical and spell damage and weapon damage? to do massive hits? or what
watch the video to find out now!
Hi man. I've always played a Nord DK with 7 plate armor and a 2h on both wep slots. I like to play that giant that in the front cleaving shit. Would you consider it more beneficial to wear 5 plate, 1 med and 1 cloth now?
Metal4rLyfe You can but things will die slowly, just dodge and smash dat giant.
Deltia's Gaming So then I should go 5/1/1?
i want to play eso again i have no gear and dont have marrowind exp. is pvp going to be fair on me ?
Deltia, How much do I actually miss out on if I decide to go with a race and class that isn't the most compatible with passives etc? This is my main concern, because right now I have a Kahjiit Templar style main, but Kahjiit's are more suitable for Nightblades. IAMILLEGAL2 Not that much honestly. My Nord DPS could out dps anyone in my PvE guild. Skill > Gear ........................ passives. Nightblade stamina go Khajiit.
What is the addon that makes the health stamina and magic bar look like that.
MirrorRealityHD Wykkd's Enhanced HUD.
How do I level up skills like mist form? Do I activate it and let people hit me or can I just have in on my main bar?
Jonrock 1 Just have it on your bar.
I am fairly certain that staff light and heavy attacks scale off spell damage in 1.6 and not weapon damage.
manny254 The actual attacks do and not just the spells?
Deltia's Gaming I just tested it on pts with a template. When i added spell damage glyphs to my jewlery my light and heavy attack damage went up.
Thanks for updating me, I should have tested this again.
is it still true today? Ur damage depends on max magica/stamina and spell/weapon power? Nothing changed?
I didn't really get the 5 pieces thing. If you use, lets say, 5 pieces of light armor and 2 other. You get more stats but you don't get the 2x % reduced cost and other passives from 2 pieces of light armor. Isn't that worse?
The undaunted passive gives max stats for mixed armour, and that tends to outweigh it. At least for magica/light.
Rafael Silva You get more stats, thus more damage for doing 5 1/1 than you do for 7 light. Yes you lose cost reduction, but who needs that when you can life tap or heavy attack for magicka?

+Adam Lawrence Yeah you're right. For example, if you use a 2H weapons Wrecking Blow ability, the more base damage your weapon does and the higher stamina your character has, the more overall damage the ability will do.
+SullSteez question: How do you improve your weapon damage? I'm at 34,000 stamina but my weapon damage is at around 1,800 only
Turn that 6 pack into an 8 pack
Is it effective to wear Heavy Armor while being a healer ? and Is it possible to be a Tanky Healer ?
Nie tutaj nope. You can't use a staff alongside a shield. Heavy armor won't help a healer, you need magika for that. I'd suggest you go 5 light and 2 heavy if you want to be a lil bit more tanky. hey Deltia. I'm looking to make a Orc DK stamina DPS build. got any tips? I just hit vet 1 today and starting over is not in my favor man.
Joey Tamayo im doing an nightblade orc with 2h heavy amor With siphon /assassination abilitys +2h abilitys
can u do a video about how to get skin in eso plssssssssss
Really great video, thanks!
does it matter where i put the heavy and light on my medium build?.
***** On a med armroe build I'd put the heavy on a big slot like chest ,legs or helm and the light something like a belt.
So I run you 1000+ DPS Mage build to a lesser degree of efficiency no doubt but I'm getting there. Shane Mathews Basically yes, I enchant to get health than wiggle around my attributes to hit key numbers.

This isn't law or what you should do or run, just what I did that helped me.
thanks m8
thanks so much. Everyone kept telling me my staff didn't use any weapon damage
Deltia, whats the addon you use to hide helmets
coolwolf2089 Its just under gameplay settings.
Deltia's Gaming Hey I was just wondering, but what helm is that in the intro (first 10 seconds?) xD
Just wondering the name of it. = 3
UltimateSesshoumaru Bogdan the Nightflame's helm

I need help my wife has a sorcerer and is using a staff that had 1990 cold damage enchant on it she leveled up to 19 and now it say 1680 on it does any knoe why this happened she hasn't changed anything on her character and her staff is fully charged
I'm pretty sure that as you get further away in levels from an item with a different level the damage and enchants weaken.
Scaling. every time you lvl. so does enemies. (for some reason)
is it the same for xbox one?!?!I hate getting pwned! does not say what build goes into what. -_-
MastaFlapjack Have you checked the date he uploaded it? Jeez...

This looks too complicated for me
That is because you're stupid. Sucks for you.
ScoutRealmsMC its all complicated in the beginning the more you play the more you understand
Thanks for the vid
I dont know what im doing wrong and this is very frustrating, my stats are,
Magicka - 36k (food buff solitude salmon millet)
Magicka recovery - 800
Health- 18k, (food buff solitude salmon millet)
Health recovery - 300
Stamina - 9k
stamina recovery - 200
Spell damage - 2600 (3140 with surge on)
spell critical - 48%
Spell resistance, 14k
physical rististence, 11k
I use 2 pieces of heavy armor and 5 pieces of light armor (complete julianos set including legendary lightning staff of julianos with damage enchantment, 4 pieces from the mad tinker set and 2 pieces from the cyrodills etc set)
Can someone please help me on how to get my stats up or enlighten me on what im doing wrong here????
+Joshua Antonucci (Alloutofbblgum) That's exactly what i'm looking after
+Mr Baoss I think the console UI is simplified, and doesn't give such detailed information.
Josh Z Facepalm. It uses an API designed for UI addons, that Bethesda added themselves. The info displayed is info bethesda gave the addon permission to display to the player. It is not a cheat, its a feature.
nice vid
