Outstanding video, Deltia. This type of information is so helpful even to someone like me who's played ESO since pre-launch last year. I wish it was up on TH-cam at the beginning last year, because I might have taken a different direction with my Templar. But can see some less than ideal ways I've been going with my lower level characters that I'm still leveling. It's not too late in their progression to make changes. This video will be super helpful to players who are just starting out in the game when it's released to consoles.

I'm currently runing a typical destruction staff build, but in the future I'd like to try out some tank builds or two-hander builds for sorc. How good is that with an Altmer compared to say an Imperial?
Caesar Iseri It's not going to be as good per say because of missing 12% health, that being said I tanked Dragonstar Arena as a VR 8 Sorc High Elf tank. It can be done :)

I'm going for a bow/2h khajiit nightblade stamina DPS. I know I should wear five medium but, should I wear two heavy or two light? You said one of each in another video but, I'm leaning towards the two heavy for a little bit better in sustained combat.
healing staff does work with heavy armor. with its new passives to increase the magicka u get on heavy attacks by 50% used with the healing staff passive for it too gives alot of regen on heavy attack. while light armor is the best armor to use but heavy armor does work as well
very informative, I have a VR2 sorc and a low b Nord DK with 2 hander, would you advise to change from Nord rather than put anymore time into it if I wanted to do DPS
Zakerdoodle kinda, but it has to be 5-2 or 5-1-1, if you check your armor passives, the last few require you to be wearing 5 of a type of armor and they increase a stat by a lot. Yes you can wear light and medium, but it will have to be 5-2 to get the most benifit out of them.
Great vid Deltia. QUestion: Your Templar build that uses 1 DW ability - I assume you're using light armor to synergize with your class abilities even though you say to match armor type with weapon use. So are you using light armor?
Hi, it seem like all of the weapon skills are a great combo all used together, the 2h, dual wield and bow for example. They can all be used in one skill bar, but is it actually advised to do so? or is it best to pick skills from the other skills too? thanks in advance

So you said for a stam dps dk that 2- handers over dual wield are probably the way to go since dk's dont really have a gap closer, but I'm curious as to whether you think that chains would be an adequate gap closer especially in 1.6 where you are pulled towards your target if they can't be pulled to you. Just trying to get an idea on this to figure out if I want to dump the time into lvling dual wield all the way up for this toon. Thanks! Keep making great videos!
I know im not Deltia, but id say that if go with dual wield+ chains, you need to get some burst( and actually, chains give you 10% crit upon activation in 1.6). It could go really well with a build of "a sneaky guy who finds small groups of people and kills them 1 by 1 by pulling them with chains, quickly assassinating them and going into stealth"

Cant wait for console release. Gonna build a heavy armor sword and board argonian templar with restoration staff. Gonna go 3 mana 2 health 1 stamina. Is this a solid build or am I screwed? My plan is to tank and just be the energizer bunny of Tamriel and keep going and going.
I use stam DK with dw and res staff as secondary, though dw/res staff is probably good for any stamina build imo. The res staff is universally good for anything really even stamina builds.
cemetery665_TOAO Resto staves are not for stamina builds, the heals in resto are based off max magic and spell critical, they will be extremely weak heals. Stamina has stamina heals, you have rally in 2h, you have vigor in alliance, half the dual wield abilities and the ultimate heals you a ton, they will grossly out perform any resto heal.
cemetery665_TOAO Meteor isn't a physical damage ability, although it is an ultimate scales off your highest stats your cp will be mixed up, if you're a stam you want it in physical, poison and disease. But your build is all over the place, you said stam DK and yet you have meteor and resto staff. If you want a burst heal you use igneous shield for major mending then vigor, hybrid builds don't do a lot of DPS at all or even very good healing.
Yeah I know meteor scales off highest stats, the reason I'm using it is DPS and I'm a dunmer dk so it's good as shooting star since there's passives for fire damage under my class/race I think (ardent flame/dark elf). I don't have vigor though, I still need to heal using dragon blood so I just use all my magicka to heal using that or the staff, I know igneous shield helps, but since I have barely any magicka (stam dk so I put stam over everything) gotta just use it to heal sometimes. I'd use vigor though once my assualt skill line is high enough, but yeah, traveling to cyrodil is the only thing keeping me from doing pvp so much, still got 1000s of pve quests as well.
So, I'm thinking of making a nord with a tanking bar (sword and shield) and a damage bar (two handed) when I get the game. Would this be effective? Also, which class should I choose, and why? I was thinking dragon knight or Templar, but I don't really know what works best with what?
+Death like Mage 04 Breton Dragon knight is not bad, but dragon knight really needs 2h for gap close. The reason Breton is decent is because of the added spell resistance and magicka buffs, which means you can comfortably focus on health and stamina and not really worry much about magicka, which you will still occasionally need. Its a supportive combo as it makes it a good race to balance some of dragon knights weaknesses. It would make for higher survivability, as dragon knights defensive skills are magicka based, plus the spell resistance. Going Redguard or Imperial would leave you with more stamina, and more overall damage. Going Dark Elf would buff your fire damage, and comboing that with vampire would be really good, since dark elf passive buffing fire resistance would cancel out vampires weakness to fire. It would also buff dual wielding, but I personally think dragon knight needs the 2h skill set simply for the critical charge gap closer.

Darrien Bandzo He did. It was because for some unknown reason it gives higher magicka regen. You may want to check that i got that right, but he definitely explained ( briefly) why he choose duel wield . And pretty sure it was daggers.

Sorcs have a passive that seems to give the single target DPS edge to the lightning staff, all the rest pick fire staff really. And even on my sorc I run fire staff until there's a really long pure single target fight. (And half the time I don't bother swapping to lightning anyway.)

+haveheart1990 Play the way you want to. I use a heavy armor sorcerer who uses only axes; two-handed and dual wield. I find that my survivability is quite ridiculous and can do some bursts of damage really quickly. The armor expertise if I'm not mistakes only helps level up the armor type, but as I said earlier, play the way you want to.
so i run a templar, with light armour and all magika boosts on the armour pieces with sword an shield as my weapon/skill set 1, and resto staff on weapon/skill set 2, however i dont use any sword shield abilities is that ok with the scaling or should i be using a destruction staff instead of the sword shield? i am technically a healer but able to kill single target enemy with a combo fairly fast.
stay with sword and shield ur class is meant to be like that and i would not use the destruction staff only resto because ur job isn't to kill them with magic only sword or mace in my case.

Harly Davids Bows as your primary arent the best in PvE. PvP as a sniper person, just focus on damage and critical. Stealth and hit a snipe, stealth attacks will stun also stealth increases your damage, so snipe, snipe, poison injection and keep sniping. Weaknes, you'll most like suck in melee, wont be able to take a lot of damage, wont be able to kill a tank or healer.

Magnum Shot is best in PvP because it can break snares and other CC while using a lot less Stamina than a dodge roll.

Dustin Backhus I personally go with 2 Hander on my next DK build though u can run double melee if you got a gap closer.

How would a split dps build fair for PVP? Currently leveling a templar and I'm interested in doing a two hand heavy armor build with hints of magic damage as well. Anyone give me tips on this.
Would two handed with destruction staff work with dragon knight stamina build or naw?
And if u were me, as in woodelf templar using a bow, what abilities would u choose, for a pve build for the meantime since am still questing and learning the game

Hey what would be the best race if I want to use duel wield weapons?
if so how would it work and what armor should I wear?
for the destruction staff - what would you prefer - the fire ice or shock one?
Sorcs have a passive that seems to give the single target DPS edge to the lightning staff, all the rest pick fire staff really. And even on my sorc I run fire staff until there's a really long pure single target fight. (And half the time I don't bother swapping to lightning anyway.)

Unslaad Vaas I wouldn't say so, the sooner you get them down, the less need for CC. DPS makes everything easier.
What would you recommend for a templar? I want to heal in end game but want to be able to still be able to kill while I level up.

Destro and Resto staff scale based off of weapon damage not spell damage. Example below. I have been out of game for a bit. Did they change it?

I'm a DK Dunmer using dual wield and medium armour. I'm an all around build, levelling magicka and stamina equally. Is there any way that I could make my build better?
Is a orc one hand and shield great for tanking? What class or race is basically great for tanking and doing a great amount of damage?
P1MPINSINCE1997 Great? No, Orc is very weak race. Anything with stamina or max health is good. I have a racial passives video that explains this.
I looked up that video on racial passives and it said an orc would be a great tank due to some stamina buffs and healths buffs with heavy armor?

question I am a vet 5 dk full heavy armor orc I use 2h do you think I should switch to medium armor and forget about all the heavy armor expertise that orc have?
+haveheart1990 Play the way you want to. I use a heavy armor sorcerer who uses only axes; two-handed and dual wield. I find that my survivability is quite ridiculous and can do some bursts of damage really quickly. The armor expertise if I'm not mistakes only helps level up the armor type, but as I said earlier, play the way you want to.
so i run a templar, with light armour and all magika boosts on the armour pieces with sword an shield as my weapon/skill set 1, and resto staff on weapon/skill set 2, however i dont use any sword shield abilities is that ok with the scaling or should i be using a destruction staff instead of the sword shield? i am technically a healer but able to kill single target enemy with a combo fairly fast.

stay with sword and shield ur class is meant to be like that and i would not use the destruction staff only resto because ur job isn't to kill them with magic only sword or mace in my case.

I'm thinking to go Argonian (EP) and I'm to sure what to use armour and weapon and dps wise. If this helps in skyrim I used a axe, conjuration, heavy armour, the bow before charging in. (I was a skermish)

How about a dual wield (daggers or swords) sorcerer Breton?
The one passive of dual wield adds 2.5 percent damage done per sword equipped so that would work. The bonus for daggers is crit damage i think

Would be great if you could let me know, tips are always welcome! I'm going to play ESO when they launch the new business model, so I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I'm also thinking of starting with a Dunmer, DK with a 2H, bow and medium armor or a Redguard, Nightblade with dual wield, restoration staff and medium armor.
So I have another question: which of these three builds is the most noob-friendly?

Harly Davids Bows as your primary arent the best in PvE.
PvP as a sniper person, just focus on damage and critical. Stealth and hit a snipe, stealth attacks will stun also stealth increases your damage, so snipe, snipe, poison injection and keep sniping.
Weaknes, you'll most like suck in melee, wont be able to take a lot of damage, wont be able to kill a tank or healer.
