Thanks for taking us along to the shops. Here in Canada we are still limited for shopping, wearing masks and needing vaccine proof to enjoy restaurants. A taste of our former precovid lives is wonderful. And tea is always wonderful.
the stores were very nice but the little walk in the beginning and the cobblestone street were breathtaking. And I absolutely adored the bedroom in that store. Could definitely see that sort of vibe in your new home. Those lovely tall windows are such a charming focal point.

I simmered some apple and spice tea for several hours the other night (by mistake). Thought what to do with the strong reduction in the bottom of the pot, and put it on my toast with brown sugar and butter. Astoundingly delicious! The spices had mellowed into the smoothest flavour.

Really lovely video🌹 I am so with you on bakewell tart. The best one I ever had was in a small bakery in Llanrwst, Wales in Snowdonia. I had one piece and then bought the rest of the tart 😂. One helpful tip if you want fantastic alpaca and vicuña fabrics you really need to go Bolivia and Perú. Given your love of muted colour palettes, you would so fall love the real handcrafted throws, aguayos and blankets (not the gaudy tourist ones). The real handmade ones are beautiful and soooo warm. Adore your puppy❣️❣️

so exciting every time I see an uploaded video! The touch of tea on top of the cake was a really nice aesthetic touch. I just love tea time too. I collect teapots from thrift shops and dinner wares and was just gifted by my neighbour at my dinner party with a tea pot that has the inserted strainer for loose tea. i think those styles of teapots add a little extra interest to the teapot that is so popular now a days. My dinner party was inspired by your videos which gave me the spark of interest to create my own dinner party table. I had such fun doing so and all the added touches of decorative dinner wares and decor thrilled me to pieces. I put all my learned experience on how to set a table and napkin folding to use and felt like I am definitely on my way to a more elegant and beautiful way of living! I even taught my guests about proper etiquette which many where not aware of and they found it a great deal of fun and educational as many of us have not been taught all the little details. I made a lemon blueberry cake with lemon cream cheese icing. It was so delicious and moist. What a great success and I'm going to make a habit of creating special table settings the rest of this year to bring to my home and add to my portfolio. Thanks for so much inspiration and making this a real fun, relaxing, pleasurable experience that is feasible for anyone to attempt, enjoy, and live more beautifully!

I loved that beautiful alleyway (or mews?) that you went down! That's one of my favorite things about cities, the neat little nooks and crannies you can find. When I used to live in a big city, I remember as a little kid there was a place called Pig's Alley near where we lived which I liked to look down. Edinburgh looks like a very nice city...I never knew anything about it, besides hearing about the Edinburgh Tunnels.
Nicolas, when we lived in London John Lewis was my fav department store! I miss it very much!! We bought a suite of leather furniture there for our flat and 10 years later we still have it now in our family room in our home in Tucson. Still looks great! Enjoyed this video and seeing a bit of Edinburgh with your cute Shih Zhu, Sophie. We have two and love them dearly.
