Nicolas, since finding your channel, you inspired me to make my tea/coffee time more special by investing in a lovely tea set. I had a very limited budget and I found a beautiful, gently used Botanical tea set with a teapot at my local goodwill. I can't tell you how much joy I get seeing them on my shelf and pausing in the afternoon to enjoy drinking from a beautiful cup and saucer and appreciating that special moment each day. I always make my bed first thing in the morning. It really sets the tone for the day! I’ve noticed the days when I would rush and didn’t make my bed, bad things would happen during the day also now I make it a priority to make my bed when I wake up. You’re so calm and gentle and I love that energy.

I've got to say - when you were just closing your shutters with the fire glowing, getting ready for your tv supper, my eyes were stinging as I so wanted to be there too! I live in the North of England and we have spectacular countryside too, you reminded me to get out into it more often.

I lost my dad last year and I couldn't visit him because of travel restrictions. That filled me with nothing but guilt. With an air of calmness, serenity and beauty, just what we need in these challenging times. I especially love the fact that you also shop local where possible. Our local shops really did pull out all the stops at the beginning of the pandemic and I began to change my shopping habits to purchase locally produced groceries etc and from our independent small shops which really did go that extra mile for us all. If you struggle to eat in the morning thats GOOD. You should try intermittent fasting, its extremely good for you. Tea (no milk), black coffee, and water only until lunch, or later. It feels hard at first like exercise but after a few weeks zero discomfort and reams of benefits. Done it for years.

Pure love...but the lamp on the desk is way off scale .too big and therefore dominant for that size desk..noticed you leaning to the right continuously as if trying to dodge the lamp. Hello Rick, I think setting up structure and some routines (the same thing?) would provide a means to happiness in your newly found freedom. Having walks or a senior gym membership, setting up expected eating times, planning for friends to visit, a daily period of reading, becoming involved in church activities are all nice things. I am in my mid-seventies and still working and so have not given any thought about how to retire so this has been a been a beneficial exercise. Good retirement to you.

She does sometimes! But she has a tendency to lay right my legs and I get too hot!
That bed looks so nice and comfy.
My cat sleeps on me sometimes and I get so overheated! Lol
My dog comes on the bed when I am sleeping if he is afraid of the thunder storms or winds.
We used to sleep with our 2 dachshunds and it was really too hot even in a king sized bed.

As a new subscriber to your channel I must say that you take me to a world that I used to read about in books when I was growing up. This lockdown and the past year have been anything but easy. I lost my dad last year and I couldn't visit him because of travel restrictions. That filled me with nothing but guilt. Your channel is like a breath of fresh air that takes me down the memory lane when the most enjoyable thing that I did was to curl up on the sofa and read my favourite book-- a hobby instilled in me by my beloved dad.

With an air of calmness, serenity and beauty, just what we need in these challenging times. I especially love the fact that you also shop local where possible. Our local shops really did pull out all the stops at the beginning of the pandemic and I began to change my shopping habits to purchase locally produced groceries etc and from our independent small shops which really did go that extra mile for us all. Oooh yes me too. I love looking in gardens and watching the plants grow from little shoots to big blooms, listening to the birds singing.
I have a birds nest in one if my trees in my garden. We have had terrible wind, then bouncing rain, and the little nest is still intact. Im amazed. 👏👏

If you struggle to eat in the morning thats GOOD. You should try intermittent fasting, its extremely good for you.
Tea (no milk), black coffee, and water only until lunch, or later. It feels hard at first like exercise but after a few weeks zero discomfort and reams of benefits. Done it for years.

If I can make a design suggestion though. Pure love...but the lamp on the desk is way off scale .too big and therefore dominant for that size desk..noticed you leaning to the right continuously as if trying to dodge the lamp. A smaller one would be perfect there...sending love and light.

Hello Rick, I think setting up structure and some routines (the same thing?) would provide a means to happiness in your newly found freedom. Having walks or a senior gym membership, setting up expected eating times, planning for friends to visit, a daily period of reading, becoming involved in church activities are all nice things. I am in my mid-seventies and still working and so have not given any thought about how to retire so this has been a been a beneficial exercise. Good retirement to you.
