- In today's video I decided to swap radios from a 2014-15 Si into my 2013. :)

Same man! I never liked the 14-15’s, but I did love the touch screen haha. Also there is a way to get it to mirror my phone, I need a couple adapters so I never bought it because I don’t really need all that

@@Lowgz it would be nice for that to work too lol. Mine hasn't bothered me enough to try to fix it. If we could get the fuel economy info to show only on the touchscreen, then I'd be 100% happy with it. At least if you upgrade later you'll be able to keep the carbon bezel! I don't think our stock camera is super high quality. It is 8 years old haha.

kinda late but did all the plugs connect onto the new one? one harness wire couldn’t connect to any of the available plug spaces on the back of the radio, but everything is working fine.
It’s for the phone controls on the steering wheel and for the phone dock you can still charge it but it won’t be able to play music from the usb you can still use Bluetooth for music it’s also for the radio clock I’m trying to find an adapter harness I’m not in a rush everything else is working
I’m thinking of a getting a android screen for my car, if I install the screen how would I control the mmid screen for example if i had to reset tyre pressure light or change the time?

Is this the non navigation radio? Picking one up for my 2012 Si. I found two versions. One touch screen with Navi and one without.
It’s non Navi. I heard the Navi’s don’t work if you do this swap

I did this swap on my 13 Si also. The handsfree buttons on the bottom left of the steering wheel don't work for me. Do they work for you? Everything else works fine. For the reverse, you'll need to rewire it from the harness on the iMid to radio harness. I forgot which pin it is but there's a diagram of the pin layout on the 9thcivic forum.
My buttons work! I’ve been planning to wire the reverse for a bit. Need to get on it haha. Thanks man!

Backgrounds on the iMid still uses the usb port inside the armrest. That wasn't affected on mine when I swapped headunits. I just reviewed the wiring diagram, there's another 24pin connector for the touchscreen headunits that has all the camera wiring, both for reverse and lane watch. It seems that's all it's used for, so if you want the review camera on the radio then you'd have to rewire the correct wires from the iMid to that connector. Here's the link with the diagram for 14-15 head unit. It's connector J(24P)

As long as it’s non navi I’m pretty sure it’s plug and play. Mine was from an Si just to be safe. Idk about base models

not yet havent messed with it but it seems fairly simple

Unfortunately I don’t have the part number. & you can just buy the radio yes. But I suggest buying it as one! No other parts needed.

Hey bro, how do you reset the TPMS or the oil life in maintenance minder with the new head unit?
You have to used the IMID display on the small screen still
@@Lowgz but you now use the steering wheel to control the head unit. So how can you still reset it?
@@iCanonKiD the steering wheel controls still work on the IMID. Resetting TPMS & oil life doesn’t change with this touchscreen upgrade

It was straight plug and play yes, but like I said in the video it doesn’t play my reverse cam on it. But steering wheel controls still work :)
Didnt need to buy any wire harness for the swap? I have an 13 FB6 that I been wanting to upgrade

Aye bro I have found a guy who crash his 15 si and he letting me go to the car and take out all the parts that I need for the radio I was wondering if you can advice me witch cables or parts I would need to take out for my 13 si to work some what good and not waste my money later on
All I got was the radio and it was plug and play. Like I say in the video the back up cam doesn’t work on the big screen but that’s all. It still works on my IMID screen. No special parts just the radio it’s plug and play

I have the 2013 si with Navi and it comes with touch screen it just not as good as the 14-15 lol.
Haha yeah I wish I would’ve gotten the Navi! But I’m glad I upgraded to the 14-15 it looks better in my opinion

Question … So I installed the 14-15 Navi on my 13 Si & it’s asking me to go to an open area with no trees , no tall buildings , no power lines , & it has to be in clear sky . Did you have to do the same thing ?
