The reason that rockets arc into an almost level trajectory, is because you have to exit and enter the atmosphere at a certain angle with little margin for error. If you try to go straight up, the immense pressure of the atmosphere will cause a stall. Just like if you try to enter straight or with too much angle, your craft will either get ripped apart, or bounce off and go off into space. The small angle to exit and enter is very specific.

- Highest point in the island, Mount Thirst 1965 ft high
- I am 6' tall with my feet in water therefore: Vision Height was 6ft
- Earth curvature formula Distance in miles Squared X 8"
So the height where it should NOT be visible from where I was standing at 6ft tall according to Google and many other sites since I am sure you would believe more is:

The reason that rockets arc into an almost level trajectory, is because you have to exit and enter the atmosphere at a certain angle with little margin for error. If you try to go straight up, the immense pressure of the atmosphere will cause a stall. Just like if you try to enter straight or with too much angle, your craft will either get ripped apart, or bounce off and go off into space. The small angle to exit and enter is very specific.
