I picked one up from goodwill for $19. No scratches, no sign of use, the case is in mint condition too and the strap is still in the original packaging
Hi! Do you know the exact type of screw / screw driver head the battery door requires? I saw your link with the screwdriver that had all the different heads but I'd like to save some money and buy just one small one for this use only. Thanks :)
I bought one that said it works. The camera turns on, even though it’s kind of hard, I have to jam the shutter open button to turn it on. Whatever. The problem is it won’t fire. I press the auto capture button and it will fire after a few seconds. However not from the shutter button. I even pressed the rewind button.
Yes these cameras are notorious for having bad shutter buttons. It is actually a button not making contact issue and not a shutter issue. This is why the self timer will fire fine but pushing the button… nada. I have had one come back to life after messing with it for a while so don’t give up on it too soon. If you got it on eBay make sure you return it if not working. 👍
@@TeddyJuras wish I knew before I purchased. I just found a thread on how to try fix it using aluminum foil. Going to give that a try. Also looking for one on how to loosen the turn on button. Does it turn off when you slide the lid back on?
Hey, Teddy and everybody. Is it normal the battery to die after shooting one roll or less? After putting some new batteries I'm getting like 30 frames then it starts to flickering the LEDs and shortly dies. It still has power to rewind the roll though...
Yes this camera’s shutter button often goes bad sadly. The timer works but button doesn’t. I’ve seen some have used tin foil inside button to fix it. Hack but might fix it. Good luck! 👍
@@TeddyJuras can I ask you something else? I’m going to a concert this week and only have a 400 film. Would you recommend use this camera? This is my option or the konika pop
Sadly there is no flash on or off button or any way to know if it’s going to fire or not. It makes the decision for you based on environment. You can force the flash to go off by covering the sensor, but you can’t stop it from flashing in low light. 📸
Hi Teddy! I bought mine and just developed some of my film. 90% of my photos came out blurry. I don’t know if it’s my focus or if it’s the way I took the photos. Is there a way to check if the focus is working? When I slightly press it it does a click sounds (not the same from when you actually take a picture) but I don’t know if it’s what it should be doing :(
Hey Johanna! I’m not too sure on this. Sounds like you are doing it right. Half press to focus and full press to take photo. B sure not to move too much that can cause blurry photos otherwise sadly it sounds like it might not be focusing properly. 😩. Let me know if the next roll has same outcome.
Hi Teddy! Thanks for sharing! This is my go to film camera and love it! Two questions-what type of screw should I search on Amazon? Need to replace mine. Second, will I be able to take color reversal film with it? Thanks a million!!
Are you looking for the battery cover screw? If so I have a bunch. DM me your address and I’ll mail you one. Not sure about color reversal. What is that? 📸
Hey mate, looking at the batteries you’ve linked - the pic from Amazon says they’re 1.5 volts but every 2cr5 battery I’ve looked up says they’re 6 volt! Is this an Amazon error or do you source somewhere? Can you use higher volt like the 6 for this?
Hmmm that’s strange! I didn’t notice that. I’m guessing it’s an Amazon error. Should be 6 volt. I use the one’s that are linked and also the Panasonic brand here amzn.to/3QSqBib 👍
hey Teddy, I bought this camera and when I put the battery in, the problem is that the automatic film rewind starts and never stops. do you have any tipps for me?
Hi teddy, got this camera months ago and I just started using it but my problem is the film roll fully rewinded before finished. So only 16 exposure were done and still have 20 unused exposure from the roll. And I don’t know why it did that??? 😢
Oh no sorry to hear that yna! Somehow the camera thought it was at the end of the roll! Try wiping the metal tabs near where the film roll is put into camera. Those read the film that you are using. I wonder if maybe it misread the film exposures etc.. so sorry you lost half your roll! 👎
I just got this camera but using just the red button works but if I use timer then button it works right away. Would you happen to know how to fix this issue?
Hey kappy! Timer button is all you need to press on this camera. The timer should start once you press just that button. Let me know if I misunderstood your question. 👍
Does your camera get hot when the battery is inserted? I just put in the battery mine shipped with and the front of the camera around the lens got noticeably warm and stayed that way, even with the camera “off”
I wish the battery compartment was easy to open close like the Canon model Snappy S. Here is what I mean at th-cam.com/video/1Y2YC03ui7E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DJ7tBkvR-wGgQ1bH at 2:00
yeah these are super annoying to open. I guess the thought is that you don't need to access the battery very often so make it more of a permanent function.
Watching so many videos on these older points shoot cameras The presenter always says that they work fine this is how you open it this is how you load film this is how you use it but none of them have ever developed film from those little cameras to show the audience the pictures that it can take what good is the demonstration if you don't have a demonstration of the pictures you took Why don't you do a part two with that camera put some color black and white film go out and about shoot a roll of film have a developed and then show your users your subscribers the exposed film and how nice it takes pictures
I agree 💯. Stick around, I plan on shooting a roll of film with every film camera i get my hands on and sharing the results. thanks for the feedback! 📸
omg thank you for the response! The lens does close but the digital screens in the back all stay on. I guess I assumed those would turn off.. but they're meant to stay on?@@TeddyJuras
Mine is slightly different where it's also got a record date digital screen on the back under the battery screen. But based on what you're saying it seems as though those stay on at all times! Thanks so much for letting me know this!! You're the best!@@TeddyJuras
Not too sure on this one. Sounds like it’s not getting full power. Have you tried wiping down battery contacts with white vinegar yet? This might help. 👍
Bought this camera in mint condition from an op shop for $6 and used your video to set it up! Now it’s working perfectly thank you Teddy
Glad I could help!

Smallest Phillips head screwdriver you can find. One for eyeglasses. 👍

Hey Daniel! No not normal. Very strange. I don’t know of a quick fix for this sorry. 👎
Can I use Kodak photo paper and try and cut it up or will it not work
no that won't work. sorry!
what if after i’ve loaded the film into the camera it says 2 and not 1 on the little screen?
You should be ok. Sounds like it just skipped a frame.
just recently bought one - does anyone know - once i put the battery in is there an on / off or does the screen indicators stay on constantly?
Should turn off when you close the lens cover. 👍
I have an issue with the red button. Sometimes does not work and i need out the timer for the button to function correctly!

@@TeddyJuras i went with the canon and right know I’m waiting for the result. I fix the button and it works perfectly! Thank you so much!
