All-or-nothing thinking can amp up your anxiety, hinder your goals, and mess with your emotions. This video shares how to stop all-or-nothing thinking. All-or-nothing thinking is a cognitive distortion that holds us back in life. But there is a solution!

This is me. I feel like I need to keep restarting every day because something didn't go perfectly. I evaluate myself and nothing seems good enough.

No matter what you do or think or believe, their are no guarantees. A person can only live based on his or her life's experiences. They are truly only doing the best they can. No one is better qualified.

The existence of garanties is not the point of this video, I think. The point is that if you have a pure heart and you want the best for yourself all or nothing thinking is not helping you to be happy and worthy no matter what you do.

@@PraktischVerslaafd Thanks for your response. I really believe that the black and white thinking she's relating to are Cognitive distortions one needs to be come aware of consciously. This is more about being a impartial observer to oneself. By comment describes one's path is always changing. GOD BLESS!

Came on looking for a video on catastrophizing and this seemed closest. In this video you mention getting ready to make one on catastrophizing. All-or-nothing thinking seems to overlap, but is the one focused directly on catastrophizing up coming? I'm trying to keep a few steps ahead of a friend's consumption and processing and as relevant as possible! 😊 (** update **)... Noticed your video pop up on the side menu about catastrophizing made soon after this one. Maybe useful to share - so I went back to your home page to check how I missed it. It does arise in search when full word 'Catastrophizing' is entered. What I often do is use a part of a word; I used, "Catastrophi" and nothing comes up. Digesting this learning point, will keep it in mind. Your catastrophizing video is great! Thank you! 🏆

To me the observing awareness is our spirit self not a function of the brain.
To me the mind is nonmaterial too.

I wonder... can we think our way to more dopamine or is this kind of thinking and the lack of motivation and agency that accompanies it a sign of low dopamine, inhibited uptake, a high threshold or some combination of related factors? What is the chicken and egg of it?
