First Gunther Steiner getting ousted, then Lewis to Ferrari announcement, and now Christian Horner potentially being let go!!!!!!!!! All this over the winter break and the season hasn't even started yet!!!
Shez is right about Ocon. By far the worse teammate on the grid. An average F1 driver at best. Probably slightly below. The Leclerc comparison is wildly unfair.
It’s become a trendy zag to complain about fans complaining about too much carbon. The fact is, there’s too much carbon. The purpose of a livery or uniform is recognizability. Aside from it looking bad, it diminishes recognizability. They should be forced to paint the entire car as a regulation.
Reckon that’s the only way now - they’re not going to do it willingly

Not sure about your livery take. Part of f1's history has been the colourful assortment of creative and iconic liveries. Plus, it adds to the spectacle and entertainment factor, seeing the diverse, colourful liveries representing the culmination of the dedication of hundreds, if not over a thousand people, towards being the best and beating everyone else who's trying to do the same, along with the organisations who invest hundreds of millions into trying to do this. Having all the cars being homologated in look really dulls the viewing experience in my opinion. Imagine 2021 fight with Lewis and Max in pure carbon fibre liveries? It would be so much less iconic. Their opposing liveries represented two men with two opposing teams behind them, fighting till the bitter end.
When paired with on-track feats of excellence, they can become almost merged with how we remember and revel in those incredible achievements. You can't picture Schumacher without the ferrari red, Lewis at mclaren without that iconic chrome, Lewis in 2020 and 21 without the black livery and purple helmet, Vettel with the distinctive blue red bull 10-13, Senna and Prost at Mclaren in the white and red, and many, many others.
They can even get you more invested into midfield teams if you adore their livery, subconsciously at least. Would I have cared about Racing Point without its pink livery which I adored? I doubt it. It certainly made it much more enjoyable to watch them. Same for the 19-20 Renault. (these are personal preference of course)
If you don't care about liveries that's fine, but I don't think you can say that no one else should care about liveries. Of course, liveries aren't everything, but they aren't nothing either.

I think losing liveries is almost akin to what happened in melbourne 2014, where the sound of the cars was almost completely gone. It was an aspect which added to what makes f1 the pinnacle of motorsport in terms of being unlike any other sport to watch. They fixed the sound somewhat at least, but if the sound was like melbourne 2014 permanently part of the magic of f1 would have been completely gone. I think, like the liveries, it was a part of f1 you could enjoy no matter the state of the racing

Just can't leave "well enough" alone. Horner, Marko, Newey, Verstappen...leave it right there. Christian Horner is married to a Spice Girl ffs, this is unneeded drama. Horner built Red Bull with Marko and Mataschitz, they going to throw him off his own team? What if Max and Adrian walk too?
Paint jobs are literally what teams have lived by since 1950. F1 dies without the joy of iconic paint jobs. It is a visual sport for heaven's sake.

Having all the cars looking so similar and very boring. Makes it harder to attract new fans. Imagine friends come over to watch a race with you and they don't know much at all about F1, madness or so much harder to get those casuals glued if they can't even differentiate the cars
best off season ever.
The only thing that changes if Horner leaves is 'Drive to Survive'. Red Bull will be fine and competitive

We have to wait on what the independent investigation says about Christian. Everything looks like a setup to get rid of him. On the Merceds driver I think they will look for somebody for like 2-3 years and then hope Kimi will be ready or they can lure Max. Especially when Red Bull turns into chaos and Adrian retires or leaves and some important people within the team supporting Christian will move to another team. Max might choose for more stability at Mercedes by then. Lewis to Ferrari and a divided Red Bull have created a lot of uncertainties for the future.
15 minutes spent acknowledging that there's no reliable information about actual CH behavior, juxtaposed with assumptions about what he did and wild guesses about possible consequences = pretty unsatisfying. Question is why complaint seems to have gone directly to parent company - what about RB Racing HR Dept? Also, important that the investigation findings are only advisory.

Look, I don't like Horner much... AND, I agree FULLY with what the three of you have shared, specifically if I put on my Commercial-Lawyer-Hat. I am keen to know if Horner is also a shareholder in the firm.
I think Horner regrets it now that he tried to push out Helmut Marko! Mark Mateschitz and Max Verstappen didn't liked that at all.

For sure, but he’ll probably have to wait. Outside of Aston Martin, who would bring him on now? Ferrari wanted him, but Fred has earned some good will since. Mercedes, that would be hilarious, but I can’t see it. McLaren are going too well now.

what if W15 is something of a beast and toto and lewis know that merc can give LH his 8th, so lewis said what about if i go to ferrari after and toto said ok lets do this and turn F1 upside down while pretending we have a problem and catch everyone out, go to ferrari and get some info and come back 2026 to win 9th with new rocket engine we will have , you get your dream fulfilled to drive for ferrari and in 2025 we can see how good antonelli is compared to GR . lol far fetched but wouldn't it be a boss move , they said they are real friends and not just colleagues . theory to have there as one of the other millions out there :))))

Mercedes 2025 will be no better than Red Bull 2016. Granted Red Bull were killed by Renault for years to come, where as Mercedes will have a chance in 2026.
