Great work captain! You made a good landing. I have never flown a glider in my flight simulator, but I as saw in the video you are a good pilot. Congratulation!!! I hope you can show us more videos like this one. My regards from Paraguay.

We’re planning on doing some more gliding stuff when SU11 drops so it would be great to have some input for that! Feel free to drop into the discord and say hi.

Nice ! I've been wanting to try gliding but have no idea where to look for thermals, last I heard they weren't implemented yet but you seem to have been finding some ?

Yes thermals definitely are in the game in some form right now, although I believe we will have to wait for SU11 for full implementation of gliding mechanics. If you use the variometer correctly you can find areas of lift and circle around in them (as I was attempting to do here with limited success!)

The Alps are a phenomenal place to fly gliders, updrafts are quite nicely implemented, imho quite realistically.
For me, flying the Discus, is currently the most enjoyable airplane on MSFS.

The thermals can be seen, found and created even by the Kinetic Assistant (even in the freeware version that I have). I have to learn it all too, as I purchased the Discus only yesterday, and no glider experience.
