    After a lot of requests, I also just published a 30 minute tutorial explaining how to flawlessly export an animation out of DAZ Studio into Cinema 4D without any compromises, including hair and clothing animation and with Subdivisions! Available for my all-access patrons on www.patreon.com/karlifetz

    For those interested in doing this in Blender...make sure the hair is visible in the viewport as this tutorial suggests. Use diffeomorphic or daz to blender to export the character. You will get the curves for hair or no hair, but no worries. Then export the same character as an FBX. Then in blender duplicate the hair and parent the hair to the differomorphic or daztoblender export. Delete the FBX character. Then put on a texture, and voila...dforce hair in blender!

      Interesting that the blender results varies so much considering you are only exporting a static mesh of what should've been nothing more than hair. Super nice you found a solution!

      @@karlifetz one thing though...the mesh is very dense...probably may want to join all mesh items and them run a decimate modifier.

      Thank you for sharing, this is the only thing that works so far!

      Would really love a video of this export to Blender. Unfortunately exporting DAZ figures to Blender feels complicated, especially for those not very experienced with Blender.

    I tried this with blender, and the results were all over the place. I got geometry, but the scalp and hair were blotchy and patchy. Any suggestions?

    Hi, thank you for the video! What if I want to export the entire simulation of hair blowing in the wind (for example)? How do I "bake" the simulation into the object`s animation? Thanks!

    Do you use Redshift in C4d? I may join you Patreon as I use C4D but I also use RS :)

      Sorry for the late response, as of now I only use Octane. Very sorry but I appreciate the thought! :)

    when i export to cinema the hair is transparent and you can see the head inside why ?

    • @karlifetz
      @karlifetz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That never occured to me unfortunately. Have you tried this with other dForce hairs to see if the results are the same? I have done this process a lot and that never happened.

    Why doesn't dForce hair follow character during animation?

    • @karlifetz
      @karlifetz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it being simulated? Because it should be part of your simulation process.

    Mine still looks like white lines. Any help?

    • @karlifetz
      @karlifetz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That should not happen if everything was done as presented in the video. I unfortunately can not help you if that is the case.
