      TRAVEL VLOG IV I've used this traveling to Italy and it really does work so well! Then you can compress the bundle in your suit case with the straps so if you bring back stuff you still have room!

    1- Not practical at all to unpack, you have to dismantle the whole thing to get a single item. Quite often, the user doesn't want/need/can unpack everything.
    2- The whole takes considerably more space than with other methods (she put few clothes for the amount of space she used). Moreover, there's no way of adapting easily the content to the container which is the way of fully using the space available.
    3- The clothes are inevitably stored with wrinkles (or will eventually get them during the trip) since clothes with different shapes and textures are packed up together. This is also the reason for point 2.

      the most eficcient way (efficient in size, not in weight) is to put similar clothes with each other and use vacuum bags to remove the air.

    I did this method when i left to spain for a month and it was a game changer, with only a carry on n personal bag.

    Nobody seems to consider, that you will buy a bunch of stuff for your loved onces and for yourself. Also if you fly to your family, than you will bring a lot of presents with you. I found no packing video on TH-cam, who saves extraspace in their luggage.

    • @HighMaintenanceMinimalist
      @HighMaintenanceMinimalist 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I took 1 suitcase on my last overseas trip and left no extra space. I did, however, but tiny souvenirs (magnets, pens, keychains) that easily fit in my handbag. As long as you aren't overdoing it with the gifts, you can always make space.

      just be a jerk and dont buy anyone anything. Its cheaper, you dont have to worry about packing it, and best of all the annoying petty people in your family stop talking to you.

    Security checks could prove to undo this nifty idea, but, you can always re-wrap if it gets torn apart. This method would be good only if you're going somewhere you're going to stay awhile and will unpack, hang, and put away. This would not be good for a road trip where you stop every night.

    I thought you will be able to pull any piece of clothing you want from the finished bundle, but this is just stupid lol. It's kind of ok if you put the clothes in the proper order, but the undergarments being in the very center of the bundle kills it. You have to unwrap everything.

    What about the~hair styling products, curling iron, makeup bag with brushes, toiletry bag with...cleansers, deodorant, shampoos, perfume, medicines, gifts, accessories including jewelry, scarves and or hats!?
    If you can squeeze all these items into a carry on....then you've got my attention.

      +chavira256 I travel light, so I either take travel size or I purchase what I need when I get there. All of my toiletries can fit into one small baggy that can go in the suitcase (in the same compartment that the shoes went into)!

      I didn't see any PJ's, robe or slippers. There are just too many more items missing. But then again that's why I take a large check in suitcase and my hubs takes a backpack for the same trip.

    I tried this and it was better than folding but not perfect. I still needed to run an iron across everything at the other end.
    Maybe somebody can do a packing/unpacking video before leaving and after the clothes have arrived at their destination.

  • @Prabhath_the_Dawn
    @Prabhath_the_Dawn 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well.. assuming the luggage itself was over 3 kg.. the probability of it remaining under 7 kg after stuffing it with clothes and other things is quite low! This might have been a check-in baggage eventually 😊
    Any sensible suggestions to keep it under 7 kg without compromising on number of clothes or things?

    This is cool but it seems to depend on the fact that you are staying in a place where you can actually unpack and hang your clothes. If space is limited at your destination you will have to do this every time you want a piece of clothing. I’ll stick to packing cubes

    Whats the point of this? This is stupid! You could easily just dump everything in the suitcase and it would fit no problem. Ok then it gets wrinkled - so fold it then and put it in! Doing it like this just means you have to unpack everything just to get to something.

    I've never seen a better way to mess up all the fibers in the fabric of you clothes. Wrapped and stretched.....so wrinkly and unpractical.
