My mother told me back in 1971 when I was eight years old that Crissy was a pre-teen about twelve years old, on the cusp of thirteen, that is what she read for the promotions of Crissy. Kimberly Wakeman
@11:07 *I love when you say HEY EVERYONE ITS THE NEW CRISSY* The only Crissy Line Characters I’m missing is: Tressy (B & W version), Cricket, Tara, and Dina. Whoa, it’s so hard to find 😢 *I absolutely love your collection* ❤ I’m trying to get to your level 😢
LOOOOVE THIS! AMAZING PRESENTATION! IH AVE ALL OF MY ORIGINAL CRISSY and family dolls and fun things! Cricket was my and my mother's favorite- that Sears ad is the BEST with her in it- I was fascinated with her- so was my mother- she only shopped Sears and Motgomery Wards catalogs for our toys and dolls! I STILL have her little orange hair slide and the little white plastic rod that went through it to hold her hair to the one side! WE were taught to take care of our things and I still have all of my dolls and toys! THESE are such amazing pieces of AMERICAN ART, NOTHING like them in today's horrid doll manufacturing. Kimberly Wakeman
I had a Movin' Groovin' Crissy w/ box. I put curlers in her hair and my mom made clothes for her. Had her until 1988 (along with a Holly Hobbie) before I donated them (talk about MAJOR regret :( )Thanks so much for sharing and bringing back childhood memories!
Interesting- the dolls and those amazing graphics. Bradley, I have Peter Max items from the 70's, and you're so right about his influence on the white luggage piece.
Such a treat! I never had Crissy but did buy a Cinnamon about 3 years ago. She has such an impish little face. I had no idea of the variations of these sweet dolls.
This is a great video! Love the Diana Ross doll. I had Crissy and my sister had Velvet as little girls. Now I collect them among my other doll collection. The 70’s was the best era for fashion!
It was David who reignited my love of dolls from my childhood through my love of his Dynamite Girls, Poppy Parker and now Tulabelle (Poppy's Granddaughter who is a modern day doll, but clearly raids her Granny's closet a lot)
Hey, so true! Kerrie face does look like Susan Dey- Susan Dey had THE MOST PERFECT, MOST BEAUTIFUL FACE EVER in HISTORY! NO ONE compares to HER beauty! I love Susan Dey and the Partridge family- and of course, David Cassidy! Kimberly Wakeman
I have a passing interest in Crissy, every couple of years or so I go, oh yeah, THAT doll. They are before my time, but I like learning more about them. Poppy Parker on the other hand, I actually have a few. It makes sense that someone interested in an older era of dolls would design for a character like Poppy.
Hi, I love your Crissy collection! True beauty! I myself am just getting started collecting the Crissy doll family. I have 2 Crissy, Velvet, Mia, Kerry, and Cricket. I didn't hear you mention the baby Crissy. Also usually included but not actually a part of the family is Tiffany Taylor and also Harmony which I do not have as yet. I love the Dianna Ross. She is stunning! Happy collecting! Thank you for sharing!❤
I think it odd that Crissy’s name is a word that little girls used to use (in my childhood 1960s-1970s) instead of peeing. Things that make you go “hmmmm?”
Wow!! Thanks for making this video. I didn't know about some of the dolls you shared. I currently own just Velvet and Mia. I used to have a Crissy when I was a child, but didn't like her red hair. I had red hair as a child and just didn't like it. LOL Now I've changed my mind and need to find a replacement Crissy. I did have a doll that came with wiglets. She was white with red curly hair. Can't remember her name. Let me know who she is if you recall. Thanks again -
I got a doll 1963 she called a Chrissy doll. I got the other Chrissy 1969. About 6 of them and 1972 Chrissy doll can you tell me something about the 1963 doll
I was definitely a Crissy shape at 15...so I agree with your controversial idea on Crissy's age.. we were a lot leaner and less developed at that age in the 60s and 70s
Poppy Parker's designer??? *we're not worthy!* I keep telling myself that I can't have ALL the dolls, but my resistance to Poppy Parker is failing... Great video by the way! I have a small Crissy collection as I got her for Christmas in 1972 when I was 8, then Velvet the following year. The other ones in the line didn't come to the UK I think, as I never saw them...but I have them now thanks to friends in the US...
I have a Sheena, she’s a beautiful doll. I got her off eBay UK. I’m on the hunt for a Palitoy Mary Makeup doll- she’s a beauty, too. I live in the United States.
I'd really like to know what hair type they had, for the longest time i thought they had saran hair but after watching some restoration videos on them, their hair looked more like polypropylene or nylon idk

I totally agree.

I have a Sheena, she’s a beautiful doll. I got her off eBay UK. I’m on the hunt for a Palitoy Mary Makeup doll- she’s a beauty, too. I live in the United States.
I cannot get over how beautiful Crissy is. Of course, there are no Crissy dolls in the UK 😔
We love her to !
Did you have a grow hair doll there?
Help? Can you tell us what type of hair fiber the Crissy dolls have?
I think it varies. Saran/nylon.
YOU WELOME MIHAEL LOVE DAVID 😀🥰😀🥰🎅🎅🎅🎅❄❄❄❄☃☃☃🎄🎄🎄🎄🎇🎇🎇
He is great thank you !
I'd really like to know what hair type they had, for the longest time i thought they had saran hair but after watching some restoration videos on them, their hair looked more like polypropylene or nylon idk
I am not sure but I think it varies. But some is Nylon
I still have my Chrissy doll minus the ponytail clothes, and shoes. Can you tell me where I could find some?
We work on that and get back to you.
Ebay is a good start.
I had the Mia doll when I was 6. I just purchased one on eBay and am looking for someone to reroot her hair. Any suggestions?
I have heard of some people who do that sort of thing on Etsy.
@ thanks 😊
What dolls do you design
David designs Poppy Parker by Integrity Toys.
Hello, I would LOVE to talk to you or correspond with you if you have time.
