So deep and many more layers than people think ❤even know it looks like a students collage art project and i did three years of art, and surprisingly catchy lol love it.
Plus I think the colour coming off of her is her leaving his canvas and starting a new.
    great reaction.

You never disappoint in your ability to get to the heart of what a song is trying to say. This video is interesting.

Gotye ('Wally' de backer is Australian) and Kimbra is a from 'across the ditch' New Zealander. You interpreted the song very well as many people are left non-plussed by the visuals. When the painting disappears from the ex-girlfriend it means that she is now 'out of the picture' so-to-speak. Please do more of Australian music. We have loads of talent 'down under' that never was accepted by the USA music industry. Also some of our talent did not try to break into America's pop music charts. Others musicians you may not realise are Australian.

I had many relationships like this, I’ve had girlfriends that had their friends call me to break up because they didn’t have the guts to break up with me in person

Gotye is brilliant, this is his most successful song but not his best! Hearts a Mess is my favourite of his. This song is still fantastic though and Kimbra is a perfect compliment as the alternative side of the situation. As you say the art symbolises the together and separation perfectly.

Fabulous track in the vein of "pop" Peter Gabriel tracks. If you want to explorer something new and interesting, take Polyphia's "Playing God" for a spin! 😁

I think this story has 3 people. Him and 2 girls. In the bigining he is talking about girlfriend #1. She dumped him saying they could still be friends. She had no intention of doing that. She just wanted to get away from him. Why? Enter girlfrend #2. At this point they have already broken up because he screwed her over and made her feel like shit. This is probably the same reason girl #1 dumped him. On top of that he couldn't get over girl #1.

Love you reactions, BUT he hasn't moved on AT ALL! SHE has moved on and he cannot get over it
