This huge rc car goes mudding on an rc car race track. The Losi Rock Rey is a 1/10th scale 4WD rc truck. This remote control truck comes rtr (ready to run) or BND (bind and drive). We did a speed test video on this vehicle, so now it is time to take this rc car bashing! We decided to take the rc truck to the race track! Lets see how it holds up on the ramps!

Should hear with the people owning this track if you could perhaps have a meetup with subscribers & other people in the area towards the spring or autumn for a day or two.
Lending out some of your slower vehicles that can run in the grass & on the track, perhaps an rc giveaway with the help from banggood on the spot of one of your favourite beginner friendly vehicles that are fairly tough.
Perhaps together with other youtubers & rc people in the area & bring a barbecue or have some food truck pop around & just have a field day of rc fun with you guys just helping out at the end of the day & filming some fun down there.
The grass hill in the background in the start if they dig up a bit of it & put in some rocks, scraps of wood, pebbles etc could be a great crawler course for some micro crawlers between 1:24th scale too 1:18th scale as well.
This track with the wltoys 144001 buggy would have been fun for sure as well as fast as that is.
And with how easily most metal parts other then the chassis bends it would be hard too break, just whip out the pliers & bend things back into shape hahah.
Also did you guys put on new wheelnuts on that buggy yet btw ? should make a part 2 if you havent already with that buggy, you'll like it alot im willing too bet despite the wheelnuts falling off out of the box on them (super common due too the wheelnuts they supply with it & the lack of loctite or similar on them, but that's an easy fix that doesnt cost a whole lot.)
Might be worth taking out for a drive in the yard at least with that large metal ramp if you still have it, it is fairly waterproof after all that buggy as well going by the bashing sessions of other youtubers videos with it.
I cringed each time, then cheered when nothing broke. This one needs a muscle patch cause its tough as nails!

Thanks for the videos. I recently got into RC in preparation for some hobbies to do with my boy. I bought the Everest 10 to test the waters and love it but already want to expand and have around 4 different units I would eventually like to own.
My 1st decision right now is between the Redcat Wendigo and the Losi Rock Rey. I am looking for a unit that would be fun to take camping and run on some trails, back yard bashing and maybe also some crawling. I am quite easy on everything I own and when J say bash I'm not jumping it 10 ft in the air etc.
The Wendigo clearly does not crawl with current electronics but could potentially if I upgraded to Holmes sensored brushless. But that would also make this an expensive rig combined with myself living in Canada where they cost more.
Alternatively the Losi seems to make it's way through some of the non extreme rocks from factory and also appears to handle quite well when running fast.
What is your opinion on the matter and have you run a Redcat Wendigo?

When you get big air, hit the brakes while it's in the air to bring the nose down. Hit the throttle in the air to bring the rear down this way you land level. Also just jump high enough to clear the jump. On a track like this one a 2s is plenty of power.

I have a losi baja rey. The things a tank! only thing i broke on it was the front bumper. Also the rear axle set up makes the nose dip down hard. does it with my baja rey

Have you guys ever thought of doing a “meet & greet” with the subscribers? This would be a perfect spot! Do like a bbq, hold races, folks show off their RCs, etc. Maybe everyone kick in a few bucks if you offered tickets, then you could do prizes for different events. Its a great idea to promote the channel and promotes the RC track as well.

Great video! Here is my question...I think I have heard Nate say the Yeti is his favorite rock racer...so, which do you prefer, the Rock Rey or the Yeti? At this point, I am undecided. You should always plan to land on the down slope of the second jump doing a double jump, yea you law darted it, tough little bugger isn't, I am thinking of buying the 1/6th one to compliment my 1/6th scale Trophy Truck for some fun. I like the style I have the 5th Scale Kraken-RC VEKTA-5, FID-RC Dragon hammer, LOSI DBXL and a HPI Baja5B Class1 Kraken-RC conversion, but truck wise the Kraken-RC KV5TT, HPI Baja 5SC and the LOSI 5ive-T, 1/7th TRAXXAS UDR, along with a 1/6th scale 30 degree North Super Desert Truck , but the open wheel is better especially in the winter as not so much dirt get's unside. Great bashing and Abby all you need is a bit more practise look how you mastered the last plane you flew actually better than Nate a little more time before filming to get your confidence up.

I have the Rock Rey and the 22s, and it's Rock Rey ALL THE WAY. keep in mind I live in Las Vegas so the Rock Rey is the most perfectly suited RC for the desert. I've had it over 2 months and have only broken one piece and that was a cracked piece of the roll cage.. it is a monster! But again depends on what you like/the environment you live in.

Fun video guys! I've heard the rock rey is naturally nose heavy and you need to stay in the throttle. Kudos for the determination to run this guy through all this mud 🤣 I love the losi brand I have a couple of losi 8ights on my channel..check me out! Definitely one to review👍😁
It's not too bad actually. Many rigs are a bit on the nose heavy side, so that you can keep more power on during airtime. Heck, even my Tamiya TRF 503 is 53/47 F/R distributed with all weights installed so it can land at speed.
I like a somewhat heavy stick pack like the 9000 mah Antix 2S in my Rey. Really balances it well and you can keep your "foot" in it when you send it.
I will add one thing though. Muddy and slippery jumps ALWAYS makes things a lot harder. The take-off off the lip of the jump just gets super unpredictable, that's just the nature of running in such conditions. Different tires can help, but that looked slippery and sloshy enough to get my Hyper 7 in trouble lol. Good times:)

RC scales are supposed to be in relation to real life conterpart. So while this is a 1/10 scale but larger than another 1/10 scale in real life a pro rock bouncer/racer is larger than a regular pickup truck. Just like a 1/10 scale semi truck will be quite a bit bigger than a 1/10 scale on road car.
Abby has gotta replace those boots if you are gonna keep RC-ing in the mud! "One more" clearly doesn't work the same way with ground vehicles that it does with planes. That "last flight" can be a killer.
maybe the track and jumps were designed to ne run in a certain direction. Doing jumps in a wrong direction can create havoc ! :-)

I have searched and searched videos for an excuse to spend 900.00 on this truck, and I'm glad my patience prevailed. This truck is not good in the air and the other videos have it breaking constantly even during normal runs. I can't trust Losi, they appear to be all about getting as many units out as possible and not the durability of their products. They remind sig, over priced and people buy just to say they have one.

We just don't enjoy running up and down stairs 20 times and watching our RC from what feels like a mile away, so we do what makes us happy 😁 And noone got hurt, so no harm no foul. I just picked up a rock rey. 2 hrs later, all 4 tires are shredded and the pins have fallen out of a front drive shift and a swing arm breaking the Diff bulkhead in half. This is GARBAGE. Team Losi used to make hobby grade RCs, the Rock Rey should only be sold at Walmart. Last purchase from Team Losi for sure.
Chadderbox ur just a bad driver I have one and I broke I 1NCE and I was going full speed into a trailer and prove a shock mount I’ve had it for about 10 months
