Creating 3d Printed Knobs With Text & Fusion Tutorial

  • Hello All,
This video is really a test, after the number of comments in the last video of people asking for B roll footage and close-ups which is something I have never thought about. Producing this 737 sim has opened my eyes to how in-depth many subjects are. So armed with my 12-year-old as a cameraman, we set out to create a story about producing knobs. Not really a very interesting subject, but it gave us something to practise on and tell that story.
A massive Thank You to Sebi Woelke for the Intro and Logo!

@@helimech8152 amazing the knowledge we take for granted. I was watching your video and learning about surface related extrusion for the text, and blown away by that ability in cad. Then laughed to myself that you were discovering a technique (engrave and fill) that I've been specifying and using for 35 years. New to your videos, this is my second. Got drawn in watching the one you did on 3d printing an engine. Then the TH-cam algorithm popped this one up as something I might be interested in. Now I'm hooked and subscribed, and have some catching up to do!

What an amazing looking quality. When I wasn't familiar with 3D printing I was thinging about engraving this with a rotating axis of the cnc. But this is something everyone of us can reproduce at home. By the way - now that you are working so many hours in fusion, have you ever thought about getting a 3D mouse?

Hi, that has always been my ambition, but its just not working right now. Because the frame is the structural integrity of the design, there is currently no way to put fasteners in to join it back up, with already hitting another part within the unit. I also have not given this my whole hearted attention yet, as I'm still making adjustments to the design. Kind Regards Karl
